I had an intermittent starting problem on my car that was proving difficult to diagnose. The battery and spark plugs were recently changed so could be ruled out. Chuck suggested leaving the car with them for a day or two and he would try to recreate the issue. Unfortunately it did not, but Lou and Chuck were decent enough not to suggest I begin a bit of a wild goose chase by changing every part it could be. They went through what it could be with me, and they explained the most likely culprit was the starter, but they made clear they would not suggest changing a $ 200 part when they could not be sure. They gave me the car back without charging me for their time — a sure sign of wanting to make customers happy. Also note the car had no more miles than when I had left it with them, and they gave me a ride back to where I live (it is in same town).
The problem reoccurred, and after thinking through the options they had mentioned to me, I believed it was the neutral safety switch. I was able to procure the part on a Sunday (it is hard to find stock) and I gave them a call on Monday morning to see if they agreed. Chuck made sure by asking me all of the sensible questions and agreed. They got me back on the road with the switch replaced in under an hour. The last mechanic had used a zip tie to secure the engine under cover, but Chuck even took his time to replace it properly with bolts. Best of all, they charged me the labor that represented the time they spent, not some book time. Chuck doesn’t mess around. He works quickly and gets stuff done!
I signed up just to leave this review. Not only are Looz skilled, but they are honest and trustworthy. My faith in independents is restored and will be giving them a call in future rather than PepBoys!

These guys are knowledgeable and give you the FULL details. Want to go to a place that doesn’t perform unnecessary repairs? This is the place. If something needs to be done, they tell you exactly what and WHY.
Mechanics like this are very hard to find these days (unfortunately).

It’s hard to find a good honest auto shop around here and these guys fit the bill. I recently bought a used car and had them look it over before I paid, they told me exactly what it would need and insisted on not charging me.
After the purchase, I took it to a dealer for some recall work and also because a weird vibration in the front end developed and the dealer quoted $ 450. I took it back to Looz for a second opinion and both Lou and Chuck did some troubleshooting and realized it was something small that cost $ 40 to fix.
You cant ask for anything more, definitely take your car to them.
