My wife and friends always enjoy eating here before watching a movie or after visiting the theme park. The best Mexican food and avocado guacamole made right at your presence. Our server(Roberto L.) is always in a great attitude, and professional level to make you feel right at home. I truly recommend this location, My orders: *Veracruzano(fish), *shrimp cocktail, *fish tacos

Table side guacamole when you check in, is a must! Good place and the price wasn’t too bad. Enjoy.

Great experience. Our waiter Oscar was polite, professional, and fast. We came on a very busy Saturday night with a thirty minute wait. Well worth the wait. The table side guacamole and Caesar salad was to die for. The fish tacos and fajitas best we have had in years. As an experienced Mexican cuisine diner our entire experience and meals exceeded expectations. Make friends with the bartender by giving a generous tip and compliments. Our next few rounds to follow did the trick as we tried their signature Cadillac and Jalapeño style margarita offerings. Already making a reservation for tomorrow. Cannot wait to see what else is in store

I must say that I love coming to this Mexican restaurant here in city walk. The fresh guacamole, the delicious food, the culture on the wall. If you have never visited this place it’s a must, our waiter Esther was nice enough to tell us about the free guacamole if I posted a Unilocal review and of course nobody denies free haha Check it and you won’t be disappointed.

Felt like being a tourist and decided to head down to Universal City Walk. Got hungry and came across Camacho’s. The wait was reasonable for 4 people and the food was just«OK». The mariachi band plays weekend nights and beware, they are VERY loud. I felt like i was screaming across my table for small conversation. I ordered the combination plate with a cheese enchilada and chicken tamale. I didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it. Satisfied our hunger for the time being. Not sure if i’ll be back.

This restaurant is always my favorite place to eat at when I’m at city walk! The wait isn’t too long, I like the ambiance! But, if you’re trying to talk to the person next to you, you might have to yell cause the mariachi band will be playing throughout the night. haha. I love when you check-in on Unilocal, you get free guac! Very delicious!!! & it’s a great app while you’re waiting on your food! Service is always great!

My family along with another family(4 adults 4 kids) spent the day at Universal Studios. It was time for dinner so we decided to stroll along Universal City Walk. We saw Camacho’s and it looked good so we put in our name for a table. We got there around 7:00 and the wait was about 45 minutes on a Saturday night. The place was very expensive compared to the places I can go to in North Hollywood or closer that serves the same type of food and probably better. The place was crowded and they had great live strolling singing and music so that was a nice plus. Here are some of the dishes we ordered: Food: Albondigas Soup($ 9.50) — I loved it! Lots of meatballs and vegetables in a tasty hearty broth. Tableside Guacamole($ 11) — Good, we asked the waiter to make it chunky for us. The menu said that they serve it with warm tortilla chips but our chips were room temperature but it was still good. Picadillo Sopes($ 11.50) — I love the seasoned ground beef and potatoes. It came with two 3″ in diameter pieces. Chicken Enchiladas Pipian($ 11) — It had lots of shredded chicken so they don’t skimp on the meat here. Drinks: Spicy Michelada($ 8.50) — The Toma Roca was the best part, it’s a spicy/sweet tamarind candy stick. Scratch Margarita with Patron Blanco($ 15) — My husband liked it, he said it was very smooth. Overall, we liked it but won’t go out of our way to Universal City Walk just to eat there.

The place is pretty good. It’s very clean and I have been here a few times but like every place in Citywalk it’s super pricey. Obviously the price won’t keep me away since that’s expected due to the location. Overall the restaurant is very clean, the staff is nice and the food is pretty good.

I’m really surprised that this place only got three stars… I went with a friend on the weekend and ordered a lengua plate but requested for it to be a taco platter with rice and beans. This meal is only served fri-sun. The food was excellent and the service was right on! I really liked that they made homemade tortillas too! I know the prices are little high, but you have to understand that you’re paying to be in an environment where it’s primarily a tourist attraction. I would say that the food is authentic but it does have a good taste with flavor and everything was prepared to expectations. The inside was really decorated and had more of an upscale authentic look. Bathrooms were clean and organized. I liked that the waiter would always make sure our glasses were full. This is a great place to go and I will be returning to try other items on the menu.

If you are hungry and around Universal City Walk this will do! They have happy hour from 3−7pm I believe it was. 4 dollar well drinks and 3 dollar beers along with tapas! Salsas were legit food was okay. Nothing really out of this world. I do have to say though they give you complimentary wedding cookies at the end of your meal and they were delicious! I ordered some to go! Overall we had a great time ;)

If you love good Mexican food, please avoid Camacho’s. It’s expensive and just not worth it. I would compare Camacho’s to the mediocre food at El Torito or Acapulco. If your idea of good Mexican food is El Torito or Acapulco, you will probably love this place. I’ve had it once or twice before while waiting for a flight at LAX. It’s expensive and really one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever visited. There’s better Mexican food and service outside of City Walk if you’re willing to make the drive. My friends wanted to stay at City Walk for dinner, so they selected this place because they wanted margaritas. The food here is served very sloppy and not worth taking any food pictures. Nothing looked appetizing to eat. The food left much to be desired in taste and presentation. We were without silverware and had to ask for it. Service was friendly, but at times lacking. The best part of the meal were the complimentary cookies. If you check-in on Unilocal, you might see a special. At the time of our visit, they offered free tableside guacamole for your Unilocal check-in. For good food, I’d recommend having a burger at Smashburger in the food court or driving to Joe’s Falafel — one of the best falafel restaurants in LA, if not the best. There’s better options in the area. I would rather have the food at nearby fast casual chain Poquito Mas instead of this. There’s also Mercado or Cascabel for a full service Mexican restaurant.

Solid choice for lunch or dinner while at Universal Studios, since they’re located on the CityWalk. The food is good and pricing(in the mid to high teens) is very reasonable considering that it’s located in a tourist area. Rachel S and I shared a 1993 Camacho Cantina combo. The combo is suposed to come with: cheese enchilada, taco(choice of beef or chicken), chile relleno, tamale, rice and beans. However, the day we were there they apparently ran out of chile relleno! Too bad because that’s the best one of the 4! Instead, we substituted another enchilada. The items in the combo were good, especially the enchiladas which were very cheesy! While we were trying to contemplate what else to order, we noticed there was a Unilocal check-in offer for free tableside guac. Score! The guac was nice and chunky as we had requested it but it tasted a little bland to me… probably could have used more salt. Overall it was a decent experience and I would recommend it if you’re already at the park for the day. It’s probably not worth a trip out to Universal City just to eat here though… Just remember to get your hand stamped on your way out of the park so you can get back in! Unless you have a season pass of course!
