One is to high. I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 and am now 53 so that’s a lot of eye exams. I say this because I know what I am talking about.
This was the worse exam ever. The doctor was very unprofessional, he seeme angry and complained about insurance the whole time and worse he rushed through my exam.
He talked to me as if I was stupid and I even told him I am pretty smart and have been wearing glasses for a long time so I know.
I made appointment for contacts anyway but he keep talking me out of them. I called insurance as soon as we left told them about him and explained I didn’t trust his prescription and was not going to use it. Lucky for me they allowed me to go exam redone somewhere else and next day I went for new exam.
I was right, his was way off and they said I can wear contacts with no problems. I called US Eye Care and told them about their service and new exam and the fact I had called insurance company on them along with I would NEVER come back or refer them to anyone.

What an unpleasant experience. After struggling for a year with the reality that I needed glasses my entire experience from beginning to the moment I picked up my glasses was pretty crappy. The staff is very cold, one of the employees had a conversation while working with me at her seating area with an employee from another location sharing negative feelings towards the doctor that had just taken my exam (who was extremely cold during my eye exam). I should have gone to Pearl Vision I’m pretty sure I would have had a much better experience.

I contacted this office and was able to be seen the same day. I was in and out of the office in under 30 minutes with a new prescription in hand. Very convienent and very positive experience. I recommend Dr. Pham to my friends seeking to have thier eyeglass prescription updated.

Not only did the Dr seem to be in a hurry the total time spent with the eye/​contact exam was maybe 5 minutes. He seamed to be in a hurry. Even my husbands appointment which was after mine was barely 5 mins. also I get over charged for my appointment even after I brought the discount up. the lady confirmed I was suppose to get a discount yet still charged me the full amount. She also after I said i was paying for my eye/​contact exam she still pushed it through my insurance even though i paid for the full amount. I contacted my insurance provider and they called the office and talked to a guy who said they would refund us the different. when we went back to get it the refund my husband was met at the door way and was given cash. They did not put back on our HSA card like it was suppose to be. It took us 2 day to get it cleared up. Was not a good experience and we will not be going back!

I have never experienced a more unprofessional health care worker.
My prescription had changed dramatically since my prior exam over a year prior. The doctor used «scare tactics» by yelling at me and telling me, «How can you even see with these?! Throw these out now! These are crap!». He also admitted to using these tactics with all of his patients because he believes that they are inherently unintelligent.
After getting yelled at for about 10 minutes, I told him I wanted to look at color contacts — to which he ignored in its entirety. He charged EIGHTY dollars to fit me with my already used Acuvue Oasis; I put them in my eyes and said they felt fine and that was that. 80 dollars to ask how the contact felt.
After the appointment, he went to charge me for my contacts, but couldn’t tell me even what they cost. Turns out, they were going to give me TWO boxes for (what I recall) 150 dollars! Last I checked, I could get these at Walmart for $ 45 (and online for $ 20), so why am I paying 75 a box? When I called to verify how much they cost, the doctor «couldn’t look up» the cost of them NOR tell me in the ballpark of what they cost.
My coworker had a similar experience with him as well. Crooked and unprofessional. I severely regret going here and will never come back. The cosmetic lenses will have to wait for a real doctor.

I love this place.
A couple of years ago Dr. Pham convinced me to try daily contacts… I have never looked back since! My eyes became «spoiled» to any other contacts. I can’t stand putting something in my eye that has been worn the day before… I love to throw away my contacts and put in a fresh pair every day!
Honestly, since I met Dr. Pham, I’m a true believer that this is the only way it should be for contact lens wearers!!!
If I run out before I get a chance to order more, they always spot me a pair. They have a very nice selection of glasses as well.
You cannot go wrong here… I have finally found an optometrist that I like and will return to as long as I live in San Antonio!
