If you didn’t hear, last night Kim’s caught fire(5⁄8). My wife and I stopped by there for lunch today and it was all boarded up. Not sure what happened, but there were smoke marks on the outside.

UPDATE: Kim’s Wok burned down. The space is now gutted and the fireplace shop next door will be expanding into the space. No idea if they’re coming back at some new location, but not here.

Good food. Staff is friendly but they always seem short-handed and a bit overwhelmed. Quick tip: Call ahead if you’re not dining in. It can get VERY busy during weekend.

Tried yesterday for first time, I ordered to go. Egg rolls, gyoza, beef teriyaki with sweet and sour pork and for $ 1.00 more instead of steam rice I got fried rice. The restaurant has two prices on their menu one is for lunch and the other for dinner. Lunch is over at 3pm. I started to order right at 3:03pm and probably was Kim that told me it was ok to order still from lunch prices. That was nice of her. While I waited I watched some tv on their wall tv, and also ate egg drop soup that they give you while you wait. The soup was delicious, the egg rolls and gyoza a little too fry that they were dark, the sweet and sour pork was just alright, I tasted a lot of honey flavor(I’m not use to taste the honey), the fried rice was just ok, the beef teriyaki was very good, and the salad that came along was also very good, I also tasted the honey, but not as much as with sweet and sour pork.

As Dave E posted… I too was very confused with the signs… $ 5 charge for food uneaten, $ 10 charge for talking poorly about the restaurant… Perhaps it i a joke? A very… overly pronounced joke that I saw in 8 different places in the restaurant… The service is friendly, the food is okay, but it is close to my house. I had shrimp yakisoba… definately not a typical yakisoba. it was very saucy and very wet and very sweet. Very huge portion though I would just stick to their Teriyaki or Chinese options. Though their sushi is reasonbly decent for being at a Teriyaki restaurant.

I LOVE Kim’s! It doesn’t look like much from the outside or even when you go in, but I have yet to have a single disappointing meal from here… where to start? First, their egg drop soup is amazing. Full of flavor and awesome. When I’m sick, I send my husband out for Kim’s egg drop soup… makes me feel better every time. I’ve tried a variety of things on the menu, and while they are ALL amazing, my favorite is the beef teriyaki… it’s always cooked perfectly. Portions are generous… a dinner plate can be easily split by my husband and I and will completely fill us up. I usually order a lunch portion and take the other half home for later. Now I’m hungry just thinking about this place!

Kim’s replaced the restaurant that offered the great all-day $ 3.99 teriyaki chicken special. Those days are long gone, but Kim’s is a good replacement. I have only tried a few of the many items on the menu. The cashew chicken lunch special at $ 5.99 is good and a generous portion, but not memorable. My favorite so far is pork yakisoba with steamed rice. The ingredients taste very fresh and at $ 6.99, with enough food for 3, it is a great value.

I went here after the owners & name changed. It used to be Sapporo Teriyaki for many years. The new restaurant owner seems very vibrant and wants the customers to feel @ home. The prices are very reasonable for the HUGE portions they give out. One order = 2 meals.
