The food here is outstanding. Great beer selection. Live music with a blues band was perfect for a Saturday night. I used to come here years ago. It was a younger crowd and more of the Tap out shirt wearing idiots. Now, the crowd is a bit older. No problems, no drama. Perfect. Everyone enjoying the music, no one out of hand. Awesome. Our server was Edrinna. Just the sweetest server ever. She was working her butt off. I would say this, one server on a Saturday night is a little messed up for her. The place was packed. She was running back and forth. Get her some help! Great time! Try the bangers and mashed, fish and chips or anything on the menu! !!

Always a great time and never dissatisfying! We are here about once a week for happy hour. The food is YUMMY and the service is fast and very friendly. This is a PUB so kids are allowed in here and no one ever seems to be bothered. At that note you take your kids to the pub knowing what hours to take them so they don’t bother drinkers that want to unwind and have fun. This is a Pub not a bar. learn the difference. Perfect for girls night out, date night, or just to come alone and relax. All or welcome, even dogs! Check it out for your self you won’t be disappointed!!!

Can’t say enough great things about this place. Real nice atmosphere great food. Not a bad place to be real fast service even when they’re busy and their outside seating is great for large groups! The usual pool and darts are of course available. Overall a great place to spend some time.

This place has so much potential considering the location and outside patio. What is killing this place is certainly the worst bartender I’ve ever seen. I’ve been in this business for 20 years and he may be the worst I’ve ever seen. Lazy, rude and absolutely no sense of urgency. Not to mention the personality of a rock. I don’t know his name and don’t care to ask, but management should be aware that as a restaurant manager I would fire this guy without a doubt. May never come back if service and staff is not improved. SOSAD.

Stopped by here for the first time yesterday after getting out of work early, time was about 1pm. There was about 4 people in the bar, all regulars. The service was alright, the bartender was attentive at first but after taking my order only talked to her regulars [no biggie]. I ordered the Scotch Egg and was disappointed, when the bartender walked back into the kitchen i could hear a microwave being turned on [not a good sign]. The Scottish Egg was warm, not hot. The outside tasted like it had dried out in the microwave. Atmosphere was dead. Ive had a better time and tasted better food at other bars in the area.

After two visits here I am limiting them to a watering hole. The food is just not very good. The atmosphere is fine and the service was good the first time I went, not so good the next time.

Great atmosphere, clean and inviting, with friendly and attentive staff. Nice and small, with lots of entertainment, be it a live band or being able to play a game of pool/darts. Four stars for food. The menu is simple, but everything on it is good. Two stars for drinks. If you’re going to drink here, get something that doesn’t need to be mixed. A shot, beer, wine. Their mixed drinks are awful, either there’s no alcohol, or there’s only alcohol. So average it out, three stars overall.

I got two $ 10 groupons for this place that’s not far from where I live. First time I used it was a pretty bad experience, so much so that I felt like leaving a Unilocal review. This was about two weeks ago, I called in on a Monday around noon for a pick up order for lunch. I gave the girl my order and said I’d come pick it up around 1pm. 1pm rolled around and I enter the pub. It was completely empty except for the bartender and the dude she was chatting with at the bar. As I approached the bar, they both stared at me like I was in the wrong building. I told the girl, «I’m here for the pick up.» And she responded with«Oh haha, I was wondering!» like in the way that implied she was wondering why I had even set foot in this place. Not the most welcoming service employee, but whatever, just give me my food. I gave her my groupon code and she did entered the info in and gave me a receipt for a balance of $ 0.95. I gave her a dollar bill and waited for change. When she finally turned around from the cash register, she says to me with a big smile«You’re all set!» I ended up not asking for my change and just so I can get out of her dumb and uninviting presence. In hindsight, I should have called her out on it, but for 5 cents I would have felt like a cheapskate. You guys need to SERIOUSLY train your employees better. She totally made me feel unwelcome and didn’t even give me back my change. REALLY? That is shit even for Upland. I’d give it three stars for the bangers and mash and beans and zero stars for service. Never coming back again.

This place sucks. The bartender was unwelcoming and hard to get his attention. I’ve been here once before but the other bartender was much nicer. Suddenly now you can’t go outside? Upland sucks. This place sucks. Never coming back again.

Been coming here for over 25 years. Used to live near, but moved so it’s not my local hangout anymore. bummer. Anytime I have the time, I go here. Love this place. Still feels like home. Beer selection is great, food is good, and the ambiance is outstanding. I don’t know my for Brit food so can’t make any comparisons, but I get burgers here and never complained. I met my wife here decades ago so am somewhat biased, but we still stop here whenever we are in the area and sometimes we even see people we know from way back. Great place.

I decided to try this place out since since they had an awesome groupon. I went around 6pm… Not too crowded but very uncomfortable with babies running around a bar and kids playing around the pool tables… Who brings kids to a bar? There was not any background music… But I did see a junk box… But I wasn’t sure if I should put on music and turn up lol because of the kids… Our waitress was really nice and made sure we were taken care of… We ordered the Bulldog. The Sausage was either too small or the bun was too big… Mustard was a little hot… But the sausage was pretty tasty and the fries were good… Overall I wish there was music and no kids.

We live close by and stopped in on our way to Stater Bros. I am glad we did. This pub not only has music from Wed through Sun, but it also has Trivia Tuesday and Martini Mondays. One day is Karaōke, one day is open mic for musician and other nights its local bands. Something for everyday of the week. The place is not located in a high visible spot, but somehow the people find it. A lot of locals, but the staff is VERY friendly to newcomers. The traditional British pub menu is very tasty. In fact, it was surprisingly delicious for bar food. The hamburger was outstanding. The scallop potato’s were tasty and the beer selection was great. Make sure to go in when Christy, I think(blond, east coast accent and super nice and pretty) she is extremely nice, helpful and attentive. She was the person I would want at my table. Give this place a chance on your next drink adventure.

Absolutely remarkable Pub. It’s an actual Pub! Very authentic and the food is amazing. The staff and owner are very very friendly and welcoming. I think this just might be the best place I have ever reviewed for Unilocal. There is nothing I can say that can describe this place. You just need to experience it.

Best Hot Wings in town seriously plus happy hour 3pm — 7pm and then 10pm to close m-f makes it even better. The blond haired bartender man is very attentive but his Keno numbers never hit, so play your own numbers. During happy hour i get two pints of coors light and wings for 8 bucks cant beat it. lots of locals and regulars no riff raff.

This place has been updated a little lately and most people comment how nice it is that all the seating is uniform and not torn up! And they got a new jukebox Whoop whoop! Service is always exceptional(really good). The crowd mix — young and old all enjoying pints together! There’s also darts and pool to keep you entertained. If you can’t find a spot inside their patio is HUGE! I will have to say is their toilets are in dire need of new partitions/doors. The TP isn’t even on that wall and the door lock doesn’t line up correctly. Would be wise to also swap out the seats. It’s an older place and it’s just time… Overall the place needs a DEEPCLEAN. Don’t miss those air filters in the ceiling! Sometimes it sounds like the owner is a huge obstacle in things being better at this place. People who have worked the day-to-day for years have no power to facilitate needs of customers since the owners don’t yield any! I mean, this lady Jan says the good dart boards are only for tournaments?! No one knows the wifi password?! The same pool lights that have been jank-a-fied to light the darts still need a bulb replacement! Darts. There’s a serious issue with darts here. I love darts but this place never seems to have any darts! If you don’t want people stealing them then have an ID as collateral. Meanwhile the score boards are just dead. The white boards are done after people trying desperately to get one shitty white board pen to write. Cut your losses and get a chalk one. Chalk. Chalk. Chalk. Then you can afford for your patrons to not have to share! Oh, and they fired the best bartender they’ve had since Sam left!!! I’m losing more and more faith in this place, and I’m sure they lost a lot of business with that blunder of a move.

I have been here a few times now, and i wanted to make sure before i wrote a review on a British pub. I really want to give this place a higher rating but i cant because of one thing, the bar manager. Its a shame because the rest of the staff seem very cool, especially the cook, he makes very good Scotch Eggs! There is also a good selection of brews on tap From my understanding the Bar manager calls all the shots, i’m not even sure if the owners have anything to do with this place. The manager is so rude, the guy just doesn’t seem to know the meaning of customer service. I might be wrong, but i personally believe this blonde haired american(not even English) manager has ran this place into the ground, because this place had good reviews in the past. I went here last Friday night, yes the busiest night next to Saturday for any bar, well it was more like a Tuesday night atmosphere. I got there after 10pm, and figured i would order some food from the mother land, the manager told me the kitchen closed at 10pm. I told him that people want food late at night especially if they have been drinking, his response was«what am i supposed to do, pay a cook $ 10 an hour to sit around and do nothing» and then he walked off again(he likes to walk away a lot). Back to that comment, i was appalled at what he said. Like i said, I’ve been here a few times, and as much as i want to nit pick everything about this manager, i wont, but i didn’t see changes in his attitude each time. NOTETOOWNERS: Look into this, even if you know this guy for years, just remember this is your business. Hire some English/British people, make this nice pub authentic, please. Heck, ill put my hand up, I’m English and currently unemployed. Get rid of the Friday night Karaōke, please, get a DJ or a band. But first change the management. I hope someone is listening

My wife and I went to Bulldog Pub tonight because of the reviews here and we got a Groupon making it a good deal. We both had the fish and chips. The fish was barely OK – kind of fishy tasting. The fries were more greasy that what we’d normally expect. Honestly, if you want fish and chips, Red Robin’s are way, way better unless you like greasy fishy fish. This is a small place – very little seating and not quiet, but hey, it’s a pub. It could use some updated upholstery – there were holes in several areas on the tables where we were seated. On the bright side, service was really good. But it’s not enough to make us want to return.

Dog friendly patio. I am biased because I met my future wife here on St. Patty’s. This is the bar we think about when we hear that country song, «I love this bar.» Have the Fish n Chips and a Dale Bros. Pomona Queen… you will thank me later.
