Can’t believe this place is gone. Upland needs to rally up and get it going again. So many good times there, such a great ambience, and the homemade chips were the s;)t!

Do not donate your hard earned money to a place that has a POS owner. !! He can’t run a business !! They need new owners hopefully ones that know how to run it, the place has potential. Do not donate

I’ve lived in Upland pretty much my entire life and growing up, this was the place to be. The food was always great and there was always loud music and the patio was always packed with laughter and good times. In recent years, this place really went downhill. It was to the point that the food was disgusting, everything was dirty, service was nonexistent and you would literally be dining alone outside in silence. Really odd and not a fun time. I’m glad to see this place get shut down as it just hasn’t been the same as it used to be.

The place went out of business. :-( Help save the Historic Buffalo Inn, folks! The doors are closed but they still have a chance to save the place. They’ve set up a donation page on GoFundMe here. So far only $ 20 has been donated. We can do better than that! Please spread the word. Thanks.

Love the buffalo burger, wings and chili. Not a fan of the chips as they are a tad greasy and bland. Would be nice if they offered other sides. The outdoor space is ok, not my favorite because I always feel spider webs or mosquitoes when I’m there but the BF likes it here so we go from time to time. I like to go here during the day vs night. I like to see my food when I eat not in the dark with dim lights and mosquitoes at night. Just my preference.

Under new management!!! This place was awesome! Came in with about 6 other friends and sat outside, I’ll have to say it is probably one of the best atmosphere any location in the general area has for outside seating. You can seriously feel the history in this place, and not in the sense the place is falling apart lol. New waitress was very attentive and couldn’t ask for better service. We all had buffalo chips with the house salsa and it was pretty dang tasty! Also tried the buffalo Burger and it was right on the spot! Beer is reasonably priced and the food is damn tasty! New manager also told us he is expanding his beer selection in the coming future so nothing but good changes to come to this place. Highly recommend this place!

Sad to see an old favorite deteriorate to this. For many years this local favorite with outdoor seating under oaks was the place to meet friends while enjoying burgers, homemade chips and beer. Terrible service, greasier than normal chips and a dwindling beer selection have lead me to cross this one off the list. After we flagged down the inattentive waitress so we could order, we got our beer but no chips and salsa. After 45 min and watching several tables around us complain about lack of service(another round) with one customer finally getting up to get another round from the bartender inside we finally caught our waitress to inquire about our order. She asked what we had ordered. We asked for our check and won’t be back.

Quickview: Food– Terrible Service– Atrocious Health Rating– B(city issued) The only thing that kept us from simply leaving was that the live performer was working really hard, and wasn’t too bad. Their chili is disgusting and watery, and the buffalo burger is bland. The service is awful– with only 6 families at the joint, the waitress took over forty minutes to bring two bowls of chili and a burger(which were cold). No toilet paper in the bathroom, we had to ask twice and they told us that they were putting paper in as we were leaving. The most impressive feature of the restaurant is their cobbling skills, as their walkways are well kept. My father used to eat here over 25 years ago, and I wondered if he was still waiting for the burger he had ordered 25 years ago. Established 1929, hopefully closing 2015. I’d rather go through the drive thru taco stand a few miles back than suffer a meal here again.

Well well well, many years ago I would have given it 5 stars. But the internet and cell phone did not exist yet. Today I will rate them with 4 stars. Simply because they took off my original veggie burger. It’s not the same anymore. But the beer has always been good and so has the homemade chips and salsa. I’ve been coming here for over 30 years.

Food: Chips and salsa are tasty. The Buffalo burger is tasty. Bread is amazing. However patty is a bit dry. But go mix of tomato, lettuce, etc. Service: our server was nice, and would check in with us enough.

I came here with a few friends, and we have all been here numerous times. It was never great food but the atmosphere kept us coming back. Now none of us will ever go back. We got waited on by a nice gentleman that told us he had never waited tables, and that he was actually the chef that day. We were fine with that, and actually he was really attentive. We asked him what beers were on tap and he had to find out. They have no beers on tap anymore. Three people ordered french dips that were cold when they came out, and they had no cheese or anything, just cold meat on bread, and the au jus was cold as well. They sent them back and they basically just put the entire plate in the microwave so the chips and bread were bad. I ordered a chili bread bowl without onions. He brought me chili in a soup bowl with tons of onions. They had no bread bowls. My meal came out way later than the other meals so I just told him to take it off. He didn’t take it off. The waitress finally showed up. We had to wave her down to get anything and the people next to us got free beers because the food took a long time. The waitress wasn’t friendly or apologetic at all to us. This was a horrible experience. I’m not sure if the owners changed or what but you at least need beer on tap. We won’t be back, which is sad because it was a fun outdoor bar.

Came here a little while ago on a Tuesday. Nobody was there except for one other couple. There are so many things wrong with this place. First off, its a biker haven. If you are not a biker go to Joey’s BBQ. The food is much better. Anyways, when I was there, there was only one waitress and the cook quit. The waitress brought her clueless friend to fill the cook position. The food was terrible. The beer was FLAT and WARM. And the whole time the waitress complained to us about the owner. She kept saying the owner does not pay the staff. They’re all paid under the table or something like that. And that is why the cook quit. SHADY. To top it off the dude playing the guitar for entertainment that night offered us WEED! :/not impressed.

This is a owner who just doesn’t care. I asked the waitress if they were closing because all of the kegs were empty and they were almost completely out of bottles when we arrived at 6.30. By 8:00 they were completely out of beer. They had two servers and one cook. Both sections were full and as we sat there for over 2−½ hours waiting on our food we saw several parties walk out. Our waitress did the best she could but it was still terrible. Food was bad too. I have been coming here for over 20 years but I won’t be back.

Let’s me just tell you about the cheese chips. Holy snaps !!! I perhaps may have gained a pound but it was totally worth it. And the cheeseburger — dang! The bomb. Com. Cute little place that only serves beer and wine. Live bands and great vibe. Check it

This place can get loud! I come here here on week days when I’m feeling lethargic and want to read a book and drink a pitcher of beer. For some reason I end up there on days that Sheetal is working. She is pleasant and leaves me alone. I like to sit outside and this place has a very large outdoor seating area. The inside is small and intimate. I am sure the upstairs has a dining area, but it couldn’t be large enough to fit more than four adults at a time. The outdoor section is where you want to be. They have multiple heat lamps and a large fire pit to sit around. You would be hard pressed to not be able to find a warm spot to sit on one of the cooler nights. Since it is only a mile away from the actual foothills of the mountains, it does get a bit cold once you leave the safe confins of the patio. This is one of the few places that sells actual buffalo burgers. I could not tell the difference between cow and buffalo so I won’t tell you how great they taste. The burgers do taste good and I strongly recommend getting one. Call ahead if your interested in life music. There are a few local bands that are regulars. I suggest Kim Martin’s band. I have enjoyed her band a few times while at the buffalo. Stop in, say«hi» to Sheetal, get a pitcher of beer with some chips and enjoy your day.
