What was once ez out burger, is now called, ez out burger & grill. They have a banner on the side of their building, bragging that they have Kobe Burgers. Do not get those so-called Kobe burgers, they are thin, no taste, totally gross, and I hope I don’t get sick later this evening! My roommate said that my burger tasted worse than his, of course I couldn’t even Finish it! At $ 4.99 a burger, save your Hard-Earned money, and go to In & Out, at least their thin-ass burgers have flavor! Ug, I Hate business owners that don’t live up to their Talk!!! Will never, ever eat there again even for their Regular Burgers, after getting Ripped-Off, and having to leave a message, on the freakin’ business phone number, I Am So Done!!!

BESTBURGERANDFRIESEVER!!! The wild fries are like having Jesus dance on ur tongue and u can actually tell that the burgers are really good quality. I’m usually a burger guy and this place is hands down my favorite place to eat in the world. The customer service there is also the bomb, i had my dogs with me and the owner gave us bacon for free for my dogs! The shakes are divine as well. i hope EZ stays open forever and keeps being kick ass!

So I was told this place is run by an ex in-and-out employee or brother or something. I don’t know. It doesn’t taste like in-and-out so don’t walk over here assuming that. I’ve already thrown that out of my head before ordering anything. The burger was really bland even with the sauce. Eating here made me want to walk across the street to in-and-out. I’m pretty open when it comes to food but talk about quality. At least come up with a different twist to stand out from the competitor.

in a 180 from another review who didn’t understand the high marks, I don’t understand the low ones. EZ Take Out is essentially In N Out without the big business frachising. The burgers are the same as In N Out, yet cheaper. The difference is that the fries here are much better than In N Out fries, and they have boysenberry shakes. If you want In N Out but the line is an hour long, turn around and come to EZ Take Out.

I was starving and unfamiliar with Upland. Came across this drive thru burger place and its was delicious. Dble chz burger, Fries and Coke for less than $ 6 bucks! WOW! Wish I lived closer. Why are these cool places always so far from me.

Came during lunch. Server was extremely cordial, cheerful, and friendly. Waited 6 minutes for food. The meat tasted peculiar. Did not taste fresh at all. Truly a shame because everything was cooked beautifully, from the fresh toasty buns to the grilled onions. If they used the same meat as In N Out, the burgers here would taste cleaner and lighter. In N Out burgers can be a bit much/overwhelming sometimes. Unfortunately, the meat patties are just not up to par. In fact, they were dismal. The fries were very good.

I’ve heard some people swear by EZ Take Out as better than In-n-Out and other In-n-Outers swear that the EZ Take Out Burger people were crazy. I have to admit I’m in the middle. The burgers aren’t that dissimilar(except I made the gigantic mistake of accidentally ordering mine without the ‘sauce’ which makes the burger so different)! They are both yummy and tasty with similar seasonings. However, EZ fries are way superior(but what is up with no mustard packets to do?! Really??). All in all, it’s a place I would return to for a change from In-N-Out as In-N-Out still remains superior to me. But, it was good, and I’ll definitely go back. Only bad, the service is nothing on In-N-Out service. They were slow, confused, and unfriendly. Boooo.

I’m gonna be honest, I’m surprised everyone is giving this place such high marks. They certainly have not earned my stars! First, the food, really, is not all that bad. It’s no In-N-Out(although some people swear by these guys… uh… not in my case, I guess.) but then again, for like ¼ off the price, it may be worth it here and there. But I’d still pick EZ Take Out over McDonalds any day. Second, the service in the way that the staff’s attitude is, is very good. BUT, from my experience, they are GROSSLY understaffed. Two people during dinner rush? Ouch. At least they don’t walk around aimlessly and generally attentive. Thirdly, however, the orders have yet to been right in the past, maybe three months since my family decided Burger Tuesday over Taco Tuesday. We are a big family, with 6 people, and only 2 really liking the same thing, everyone else is different, but come on, McD’s gets it, Carl’s gets it, In-N-Out ALWAYS gets it, Five Guys, you name it. I’ve never had this experience with SOO many orders wrong! Things like charging and noting all cheeseburgers; none have cheese but they did charge. Completely different burgers than what were ordered! Maybe we are too picky, but if you want to be the next big thing, you NEED a better order system or SOMETHING because every single time this happens, and when we do bring it up, saying they are sorry for the inconvenience and this order will be right, oops! Wrong burgers again! So if you have just yourself or your girlfriend or boyfriend, wife or husband, friend, whoever, this place seems like a pretty average experience, but if you’ve got a party of 4+ run away before it’s too late! In-N-Out is literally seconds away! BTW I have yet to try the breakfast

This place was alright. I can’t compare it to In-n-out though, okay well maybe I can. I think In-n-out is way better. But to feed 2 people with $ 6.30, I ain’t gonna complain. After 4pm the burgers are 99c. My husband got the #2 with fries, cheeseburger and an extra large drink and I got just a cheeseburger. They give you an insane amount of fries so we were totally able to share them. They don’t salt their food as heavily as In-n-out does and the buns get a little more soggy here too. The food was decent. I would come back for sure. And yes, the people that work here are very nice and the food does come out nice and hot: D

The people here are soo nice! Everything tastes exactly like Ininout. but CHEAPER! Make sure you go to this location and not the EX take out on Mountain. Theres an asian guy at that one who is always scratching his face/body/hair then he touches your food. Blech! He used to do it every time we went there lol.

I always thought of this place as a wannabe IN-N-Out and was a little leery about trying it out. I mean, if I can get an even better version of EZ take out down the street, why the hell would I go here? However, a few weeks ago, I decided to try it out. The place is never very packed, so I ordered right away. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a Dr. Pepper. The food took some time to cook, but every thing came out hot and fresh. The burger was juicy and cooked well. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this location.

The first time I ate here which was over 2 years ago the burger and fries were great, so I was looking forward to going back when I was in the area. I noticed the menu got smaller and the quality of food went downhill. I ordered a double take, cheeseburger, 2 fries and 2 drinks for my girlfriend and I. We waited outside for over 15 minutes for our food. A couple and a man by himself came after us and received our food before we did. I noticed that they put a bag of food on the window seal and sat there for 5 minutes. Yes, those were our fries. We asked for our food for here and got our good to go. No one ever updated us on our food or apologized. We also had an appointment at the Apple Store in Cucamonga that we almost missed due to the incompetent teenagers working here. Never again EZ.

Okay, so I work nearby and have been avoiding EZ Take Out Burger like the bubonic plague for the last several years. Something about it just didn’t seem right. But then, of course, I went on Unilocal and found some pretty good reviews; needless to say, I decided to give it a try. I actually liked it!(Hey, Mikey, he likes it!). As others have mentioned, this place is definitely imitating In-N-Out, and who can blame them? They actually do a pretty good job of it, too. The cheeseburger was delicious and almost identical in flavor to an In-N-Out burger. I ordered mine«wild thing», which is their take on «animal style». The fries are cut similar and served in the same little tray, but they do have a different flavor to them. Probably a different oil that they fry in. But either way, the fries were fine. I really liked the Boysenberry shake. Perhaps mostly for the novelty of it(who serves boysenberry shakes for crying out loud?). But actually, it did taste like boysenberries from Knott’s berry farm, and was a good thickness and consistency. I am one that doesn’t really like In-N-Out shakes because they are too ridiculously thick and can’t be enjoyed through a straw properly. The shakes at EZ take out burger are better in terms of viscosity and drinkability IMHO. Anyway, 3.5 stars would be more appropriate. I would definitely eat there again.

A great place to eat! Its off of Route 66 in Upland. I always drive down this place and never really stopped here until last summer when I was getting ready to leave the East Coast. I ended up getting the double stack with avocado and bacon, jesus christ was it amazing! Washed it down with fries and a drink while watching cars pass by outside finished me off like a fatality on Mortal Kombat. YEA. The staff here is pretty friendly too, I remember having a convo with them about the difference between their place and In-N-Outs

My FAVORITE burger place. WAY better than In N Out in my opinion and the boysenberry shakes are to die for. Their breakfast burritos are the best in town…

EZ Out was the little known bastard child to the In N Out first born prodigal son fame. In N Out originated in Socal and became wildly popular, an EZ Out was one of the more successful copycat competitors. We used to go to this one all the time back in our HS days. I went back last year after a 15 year hiatus and all these memories of yesteryear came roaring back. Thankfully, much like In N Out, the ambiance and quality had not changed over time. I kinda wish EZ Out would expand to Norcal where I now live because there are just too many In N Outs nowadays.

Great burgers, with a great retro look. You can tell this place has been around a long time. The menu changes a bit over time(and between locations) but the burgers are as follows: the hamburger/cheeseburger, the Double Take(two meat, two cheese), the Triple Take, the Take-Four, and the Take-Five(five meat, five cheese … for the truly hungry!) The fries are great(unlike In-N-Out), and so are the shakes: vanilla, chocolate, or boysenberry.(And maybe strawberry, but I’m not sure.) Sure, they are a bit of a rip off of In-N-Out. But the wait is shorter here(the local In-N-Out is ridiculously busy at lunch) and in my opinion the food is much better at EZ Take Out(or «EZ Burger» as most of my friends call it). And where else can you get boysenberry shakes? Take the EZ Burger Challenge: Eat a Take-5, fries, and a large boysenberry shake.(I did so once, after being challenged by a friend in college.) That’s a heck of a meal … until your heart explodes. There’s another EZ Take Out at the corner of Mountain and Arrow, which tends to be open later. But I prefer the food here, at the Foothill & Central location.
