Green’s did some general maintenance, including timing belt and leaking valve cover, and several other small fixes for us. We will always trust these guys! We’ve been customers for several years, and have never felt ripped off. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

Giving one star because I can’t give 0. This place started off giving great service and kept getting worse the more I went. I was originally referred to them by a mechanic down the street who was too busy to replace a brake light. I tried Green’s and the first visit was great. They were quick and seemed honest.
The next time I went was for an oil change. I dropped my car off early on a Friday morning, expecting it to be done same day. It wasn’t, and when I didn’t hear back I called Green’s the next day and they were closed for the weekend! The least they could have done was give me an update or let me know they were going to be closed so that I could take my car elsewhere. So it was stuck there all day Friday and for the weekend, and ended up being there a total of 9 DAYS!!! Unbelievable. There was never an apology or real explanation other than they were «waiting for a part» — for an oil change! Chuck, the manager, was who I was dealing with when this occurred. I agree with the comment below that says women beware. I feel that he did not take me seriously at all because I am a woman.
When I went to pick up my car (finally), the owner Jim was there. By this time I was over the fiasco and just wanted my car back. When I picked it up, he asked when I had dropped it off. I said last Friday. He realized it had been there 9 days and showed remorse, saying that this was «not ok.» He gave me a certificate for a free oil change, and this is the only thing that made me try Green’s again several months later when I needed another light bulb fixed, an oil change, and my A/​C repaired.
Having learned my lesson (or so I thought) I called Green’s early in the morning and asked if they could squeeze me in and have it done same day if I brought it over. Chuck answered and said «sure.» I dropped it off, and it was indeed done same day. When I went to pick it up, I noticed upon driving it off the lot that it wasn’t handling correctly and making slight sputtering movements. I thought that maybe it was because my A/​C hadn’t worked in years and was adjusting to working again, and the problem didn’t seem drastic. So I took it home. Within three days, the check engine light came on. I called and Chuck answered. When I mentioned what was happening and my concern that I was just there and this only started happening when I left the shop, he only said «when can you bring it in?» I brought it in. Turns out I now all of a sudden had something loose in the engine, and it would cost me $ 200. My boyfriend and I agreed to pay one last time and vowed never to use this place again.
Completely unacceptable. No apologies or explanations were ever made by Chuck, who comes off arrogant, rude, and not a fan of women. I am left wondering what else is going to go wrong with my car. I was looking for somewhere honest and local to be my go-​to. This isn’t it.

I took my car here to get an oil change and they were fantastic. I called very last minute and they fit me into their busy schedule, I also was in a hury to get back to work, they had me in and out in about 30 minutes. They were very friendly and professional, I will definitely take my car back to them.

Been going to Jim and Sandy for years… up front, honest, excellent work by the staff… never try to up-​sale anything and work with customers to keep excellent service (happy to see Chuck back as well)… Can’t say enough positives about Green’s!

I’m giving them one star only because you can’t give them minus one. These are backyard mechanics at their worst. Ladies stay away because if any shop ever tried to pull the wool over women’s eyes this is the shop.
They take responsibility for nothing that goes wrong that is caused by their crappy workman ship, they just make up B.S. excuses and if you think you’re safe with the female working there then, think again!
My daughter had her starter replaced and a new battery. It only took them four day to complete the one hour job at best. Seems like a simple job right?
Well here’s what happened, after picking up her car up at Greens and driving on the FWY to her boyfriends house in Alhambra the battery came lose and started arcing out or throwing sparks and smoking from under the hood. After investigating she discovered Greens had not bolted down the battery properly and the bolt on one side was missing. She temporally tied it down with some zip ties to make it to her boyfriends house where his father (a mechanic) installed the battery with a new bolt
The battery was badly damaged from the sparks and needed to be re-​replaced.
My daughter took it back the next day to find a employee, the only one present in semi management and he was unable to make any decisions with out the owners approval and they were not present and unreachable.
Eventually the owners approved the battery replacement and no charge Dah!
However when I found out they had charged her almost $ 50. Labor to put a $ 85. Battery in her car I called the owned asked the owned to also refund the labor they charged since they didn’t install it correctly and she had to go back there again, not to mention they put her life and property in danger!
The owned told me she had to talk to her husband about refunding the labor since they already replaced the battery (Really!) She called me back the next day with their decision to give her back the labor charges on the installing the battery. Here’s the best one!!! She also mentioned she was aware that my daughter sometime works in the mountains and that’s probably why it came lose. I asked her why is that she said because of the winding/​curvy roads OMG I told her my daughter didn’t drive to work in the mountains that day and I let it go. UNTIL!!!
Her husband (the owner) told my daughter the same BS that her battery came lose because she drove mountain roads that she didn’t drive and it’s all BS anyway because batteries installed properly don’t fall out on any road unless not installed properly by trained professionals. They are lucky her car didn’t catch on fire or much worse.
Her starter may fall out next or it probably burned up her electrical system. IDIOTS

Our SVD truck has been paid off for a year and it drives like new. Thanks for keeping my truck in top condition. Sandy and Jim have great service at their place.

I love this place. I have brought my car here several times now for problems large and small and have consistently received great service. The staff is friendly, prompt, professional, and knowledgable. The price is always very competative too!

As a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer with past motorcycle racing experience I know a thing or two about motor vehicles and public safety.
I have known Mr. Green for more years than the negative-​posting respondents have been alive (maybe 2x longer). I have also discussed the negative allegations with Mr. Green and can say that it appears many significant details were left out considering the past origin and service duty of the vehicles in question (hurricane total loss and beat-​up street racer). In my opinion, these children have grossly misrepresented their issues and bitten the hand of a generous person who was trying to help them out.
Nevertheless, I have referred many friends and family to Mr. Green over the years with zero complaints and many complements. Mr. Green is running an honest, family-​owned business which is very reasonably priced, and stands behind his work.
Green’s is where I send my elderly mom and dad to get their vehicles serviced and would trust no other with their safety.

Have used Green’s several times in the past two years for work on my Acura. From the front office to speed and quality of service Green’s is the best. Have never had any problems and I am always treated like family. Green’s was recommended to me by a friend and I extend the same invitation to you. Thank you Jim, Sandy, Dave, and Reuben for your tremendous services.

Anyone notice the pattern goes 1 star or 5 stars for these guys?
I brought my car in 3 times for the SAME issue that began with a timing belt going out (which does call for serious repairs). I grew up in the car industry; myself, my brother and my dad all concluded that during my valve job someone failed to removed the cylinder head properly thus damaging the bottom end. The first day I started my car after the job was done a GIANT plume of white smoke came out of the exhaust (which persisted everyday thereafter) and a check engine light. I took it back to Green and brought my brother where we ran through every possible scenario — Green denied there being a liability. All trust was out the door after that so I took my car to another shop only to find that the fresh spark plugs done by Green were already oxidized. I must have put another $ 1500 dollars into this f***ing GREAT car trying to save it AFTER spending nearly $ 3000 at Greens. Even the timing belt COVER was installed incorrectly.
THEN when I had a valve job done I also asked them to please rotate the tires and check the brakes. I got an estimate for $ 375 to replace the pads and calipers and machine the rotors. I wasn’t happy with their price (or prior work) so I took my car to another mechanic. He called me later asking for the key to my wheels, since they are after market, and when I told him where it was, he said it was the wrong key.
APPARENTLY when I asked Green’s to rotate the tires, they switched my key with someone else’s and initially refused to bring the key to the other mechanic. Eventually they did, but NO ONE called to APOLOGIZE for the mistake.
Now the kicker… the other mechanic informed me the problems was not the calipers, but that the pins were merely rusty, and needed some lube. No one investigated the actual problem, they just «replace» everything at the consumer’s expense. So my total from the other guy? $ 189.08
By the way, a week after my valve job was complete, my check engine light came on AGAIN.

Known and referred Green’s for a number of years, cars, and situations. Everyone I’ve ever referred, as well as my own experiences have all been positive.
You can trust this mechanic, 100%.

Quoting the last and only reviewer. «They are very honest, reliable, affordable mechanics. They came recommended by a friend of mine and I have never been disappointed in their work or service. They will not try to swindle you or blindside you like others and they are very friendly and accommodating.»
Let me tell you a story. The names and items will be changed because the victims did not want to complain because they know the people that swindled them.
Victim number one had a problem with his oven. Went to Reds oven repair to get it fixed. Mr Red said «this is your problem and I will fix for this much. He fixed. Victim paid took oven home. Problem was still there. Went back to Reds. Mr Red said OH I am so glad we fixed the problem because it made the real problem obvious. I will fix it for this amount. Victim sadly paid and took oven home. It seemed ok. One month later oven missed up again. Something different. Victim went to Reds who diagnosed the problem and gave an estimate to Victim who paid and took oven home. Problem continued so Victim went back to Reds who said I am so glad we fixed the first problem because it exposed your real problem. I will fix it for this much. Victim now feeling like he was being taken reluctantly agreed and paid the amount. He took his oven home, A couple days later the oven breaks down. One of the parts that was removed in one of the repairs breaks off and damages the oven badly. Victim calls Mr Red who says bring it in if it was anything we did we will take care of you. Mr Reds checks oven out and calls Victim with the following story. It was not anything we did. It just happened. I will fix your problem for this very large amount. Victim has had enough. He repeats the entire story above to Mr Green… I mean Red who finally maybe has a touch of remorse or maybe even gulp conscience tells Victim bring your car… I mean oven in we will repair for you.
