Dr. Tsai is absolutely the best. I’ve had to be at the dentist a lot, and I’ve moved around the country a lot, so this means a lot of different dentists. No one else I’ve tried comes within a million miles. First, he is nice, caring, welcoming. He is absolutely relaxed at all times, never visibly stressed or worried no matter what he sees in your mouth, which really puts you at ease. But he also doesn’t sugar coat anything, so there aren’t unpleasant surprises — he won’t say it will only take one visit if he thinks it might take two, for example. He will prepare you for two and then maybe finish in one. Furthermore, he is conservative: he wants to watch an issue, and not pre-​emptively take action before it is necessary, if it might not be necessary. Just can’t say enough: the best. Whole office also super nice and responsible and accessible.

Dr. Tsai has been my family’s dentist for close to 30 years, and he’s been fantastic. However, he’s turned over his practice to his nephew, Bryce Tsai, D.D.S and his wife, Amy Tsai, D.D.S. Turns out, they are just as great as their uncle. Both Dr. Bryce and Dr. Amy are both fairly young, and they are both extremely personable, which is nice when you are inside a dentist office. I’ve had check-​ups with both of them, and they are both extremely conscientious about their patients’ comfort level when they are working on you and even after they’ve finished.
One of the most comforting features is the general vibe in the office. The entire staff is really nice and they all seem like they have a great time working with each other, which really puts one’s mind at ease. The last thing anyone needs is someone who’s working on your teeth that’s angry. As I was on my way out after my appointment last night, I was talking to Dr. Bryce, Dr. Amy and the office manager, Janice, just shooting the breeze, and I was thinking it was just like talking to very cool friends, and not to dentists. It’s great that I can say that, and I guess it speaks highly of them! So, if you are on the market for a new dentist, give them a call and forget calling 1−800-DENTIST!
