I really like this vons, people there are so helpful and nice. I specially love the Starbucks inside the store, I seriously look forward to doing my grocery shopping now because I know I can drink my coffee while I shop. :) thumbs up for vons!!!

A bad experience on a lunch break can really damage views of this store. I come to Vons because it’s right by my work and unfortunately this time they ruined my lunch break! I purchased a frozen pizza for lunch and upon inspection at work I noticed this item was expired! June 2013 is NOT THE date you’d want to see on any food that has cheese in it frozen or otherwise! Won’t be returning due to the fact that I saw five other frozen foods with similar dates.

I stopped by Vons in Upland to buy a couple frozen pizzas for dinner. To my surprise when I opened up one box there was a light glaze of white over the entire pizza. I looked at the date on the box it had expired 2years ago!!! I took it back to vons letting the clerk know it was expired and she should check the other frozen foods, she dismissed me and just said ok. I took several pizzas off the shelf and brought them over to her, showing her that there are 4 other expired pizzas on the shelf. I would never shop there again with the fear of getting myself or my family sick.

This review is solely for the Starbucks manager Kimberly. Not only does she ALWAYS get my order perfect but she is always so nice to me EVERY time i see her! & she is there EVERY time i go to Vons! Wow! What a hard worker. I hope the company really understands what a wonderful employee they have. Thanks Kim for always making my coffee so yummy and a happy experience

Way, way too many panhandlers in the parking lot. Also be aware that some of the signature gatherers are totally full of sh**! I had a young lady totally misrepresenting what she was gathering signatures for, she lied about trying to keep pot dispensaries at least 1000 feet from schools, turns out she was actually trying to get marijuana dispensaries on the ballot to MOVE INTO Upland. Be careful what you are signing, some of these people are liars. I let her know where she could shove her pot and her lies. Upland would be better off without people like this. If they keep more of these people out of the parking lot this place would have a lot more business, I avoid places with this kind of harassment in the parking lot and I am sure I am not the only one.

Upset, shocked and disappointed.
I was just there. My sister slipped and fell in one of the aisle and no one helped nor asked her if she was ok. The one employer who later stopped by just said «oh we’ll clean it up» … really?!! Jerks.
Im beyond upset.

This Von’s has the best beer selection I have seen at a big chain grocery store, and the prices are quite low for some great microbrews. For instance, Dogfishead 90 minute 4 pack is 10.99. They also apply the wine discount to the beers, so always buy a 6 pack of bombers.
As for the service, it’s pretty terrible. I once had a guy tell me to stop leaving my cart and walking away from it. Additionally, I was there last evening, 4−9−15, around 8pm, and there was one checker. There were plenty of employees, but they were all goofing around with each other at the service desk and disappearing. The cashier was doing the best he could, but there was a line down the aisle. I’d guess at least 6 people with full carts. You can imagine how long that line was.
Good thing I knew I was going home to get drunk, so I just dealt with it.

I stopped off at this location after going to the bank because it was located right next door and I wanted to pick up some
Avocado for the evenings dinner. I happened to pass by the café tuna and grabbed one even though it’s a little pricy it is worth it and so delicious. I get home wanting to take a bite the whole way home only to open up and see that the plastic seal inside the container has been ripped off about halfway. I can not tell if this was an accident or if someone took a few bites and put it back. And now I am out $ 5.99 on some tuna that I can not in good conscious eat… And since it is groceries I am Dailey certain that they would not let
Me exchange it, they would probably assume I ate some and am trying to take it back. I know this is not Vons fault but I am rather angry that I spent my money on something I can not enjoy …
