Hello I chose to give this place a try today and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit on the pricey side and the portions are on the small side. But the food when added with certain table side condiments for added flavor was not bad at all I got a dry noodle dish that had grilled beef and crabmeat in it instead of the side of miso that’s suppose to acompany it I got this pork soup they have which is just a small bowl of pork soup broth not bad. The waitress was not that helpful with communicating with us what the dishes consisted of. Overall I think this place has potential but as of now it’s a work in progress!!!

Stopped in here today once I say they had Raman noodles. I was so excited to see someplace in Upper Darby. I got a pork Raman and bao buns. The soup was bland. Wasn’t terrible just not even close to the places in the city. Would I go there in a pinch? Yes but that’s if I really didn’t want to drive the extra 10 mins. Ok so the bao buns. Bao buns are one of my favorite things. So I was super excited to see them on the menu then quickly disappointed. They were soggy, and covered in a brown sauce, teriyaki? The pork didn’t have much flavor. I guess the sauce was suppose to make up for that? It had a piece of lettuce on it as well. Overall, very disappointed. Maybe I’ll try again?

I was in the mood for Thai and planned on stopping at Terminal Square since I was in the neighborhood. I parked my car, put some money in the meter, turned around and saw something I hadn’t seen before. There’s a new food spot engraved into the Asian storefronts and it is called Sow Seeds. I looked inside through the window and it was empty, except for the staff sitting at a few tables looking bored. A young lady came outside and handed me a menu. It was different. There wasn’t a huge selection. I decided to go inside and check it out. When I was inside it looked like I woke everyone up lol. They all got up and started to look busy. The waitress brought me over a menu and I decided to try a few things off of it. It was a little confusing. I couldn’t fully understand what the entrees were, so I just dove in. It was some type of Thai Fusion. I hadn’t decided what my entrée would be yet so I started with some apps. Grilled Whole Squid — grilled squid served with special sauce(see picture). It was served on a bed of lettuce with two slices of lemon and two different sauces. No one explained to me what they were. The darker sauce had a sweeter taste to it. Pretty good. The green sauce was nice and spicy. I love spicy food. This added some nice zing to the squid. As for the squid, it was just average. Nothing jumped out about it. I’ve had better at the other places in the neighborhood. Grilled Beef — grilled beef marinated in special chef sauce served with special sauce(see picture). Once again, it came out with no explanation of what anything was. The sauce was kinda spicy, but nothing special. The waitress didn’t ask me how I wanted the beef cooked. It came out cold and tasted just meh. It really didn’t have much flavor. Kinda reminded me of those bags of beef jerky you can get at Wawa. You want it to taste like beef jerky, but you know it won’t. Boring. You can get better grilled beef a few doors down. BBQ Beef on a stick — beef, grilled pineapple, chili and cherry tomato served with a spicy sauce. I would love to show you a picture of this and tell you what it tasted like. Unfortunately the waitress forgot to order it for me. I figured that out once I finished my main entrée and it still hadn’t come out. She was apologetic about it, but the mistake just shouldn’t have happened. Main Entrée Green Curry Cripsy Chicken — white rice with crispy chicken, green curry sauce, peas, carrots(see picture). This was supposed to be a spicy choice from their menu. I really didn’t taste much spice. Maybe it would be spicy to a person who doesn’t normally eat spice. I just didn’t feel it. It came out with no explanation, although it was easy enough to figure out. The chicken was two thinly sliced pieces of breast and it had a golden brown breading to it. It was cooked nicely. There was some rice along side and it all sat on top of the curry sauce. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t make me feel like I needed to order it again. When I was finished my entrée I waited a good 10 – 15 minutes to be seen by the waitress again. She was pretty focused on whatever was happening on her cell phone(see picture). Overall I would have to say my experience here was pretty disappointing. They have been open for 2 weeks, so I can understand things being a little rough in the beginning, but I still have to take off points. The food was ok. Just average. The service could have been much better. The waitress had some trouble understanding me. I would have loved an explanation of what was presented to me, other than what the menu said. If you really want to check this place out, go ahead and give it a try. Maybe things will improve when they are opened a little longer or if they possibly read my review. I would suggest trying other places in the neighborhood though. I probably won’t be coming back. Thanks for reading my review :)
