I like the food here. Nothing fancy, It’s pretty much a Mexican carry-out which is great for me bc I don’t eat at Chinese carry outs. I’ve never had anything from here and it wasn’t good. I always get either the tacos or the fajitas. The beans and rice are delicious. The rice is cooked perfectly, not too hard not too soft. Glad to see they’re hanging in there considering everything else at the food court has closed.

Silvestre is always a go to spot when I want something quick and good for a reasonable price. Even though this is the closest location to me I prefer the Silver Hill Rd location in Suitland. I decided to go with my favorite dish which is the fajita mix that has shrimp, chicken, and steak. It also comes with rice and your choice of either beans or salad. The meal was decent but the shrimp were cooked a little too long and some of the steak seemed a little tough. It wasn’t bad but it is normally better than tonight. The reason I prefer the Suitland location is that there seems to be more consistency. That is the reason I gave this experience 3 instead of 4 stars.

I work near here and it’s always a hassle trying to get food. I only get a thirty so the first time I ordered I went in and ordered and it took my whole break to actually wait for the food. It isn’t worth it: the steak and shrimp fajitas are bland, I always have to use the salt and pepper packets they give me. The black beans come in a mini to go saucer and have no flavor and they’re always taking an oil/water bath. The rice is not even worth mentioning and they give you two flour tortillas to eat your food with. Sucks for you cause you’ll have more meat leftover and no tortilla to wrap them in. Their attitude needs major improvement, if the younger guy isn’t there the women act like your invisible. Save yourself the trouble and go to Sardi’s down the street.

Food is always good here but today we found a hair in my food. I tried to keep it quiet and ask for a new piece when the lady who’s hair it obviously belonged to said it was the string used to tie the chicken… They reluctantly replaced our chicken and we left. They’re food is awesome but the customer service unfortunately is not…

I’ve eating here during the lunch rush and noticed a few things. The people who handle food also touch money and other things without wearing gloves or washing their hands. The Peruvian chicken seems to sit under a heating lamp all day because it’s usually dry. The other menu items are never really that good either. For the price you could go elsewhere and get authentic Peruvian food.

I visited this resturant today! I can say I was impressed. I had the fried red snapper, my wife had the chicken steak and shrimp fajitas, and my daughter had the rotisserie quesadilla. All were great, with popping flavors! I give this place five stars! The ambiance wasn’t all that but the food was bomb!

I was doing some Sunday shopping and decided to stop here for a quick bite since Chick-Fil-A was closed. I read the reviews prior to coming, which were mixed, but I was really hungry and not in the mood for Panda Express. Basically, my options were limited, lol. I ordered the steak tacos, which seemed like the safest option. You can’t mess up tacos, right? Lol. Despite other customers making complaints about their orders while I waited, I had zero issues. My order was ready fast, it had all of the toppings I wanted, the meat was juicy, and it was tasty! The service was fine, not bad, not spectacular. The location is a bit hood and the food is basically a step up from Taco Bell, not an authentic Mexican restaurant or anything. But hey, I wasn’t expecting a 5 star restaurant and for $ 5 I can’t complain. I would come again!

I’ve only had Silvestre once prior to trying this location. I wasn’t thrilled with my chicken dish at the Ft. Washington location but I was extremely delighted with my shrimp burrito at the Largo location(I stopped in twice in one week). Service isn’t the best but I suppose when it’s 90° outside and 100° in the kitchen you tend to be a tad bit irritable(No air inside the restaurant). Probably best to call ahead as it was pretty busy on both of my visits

So… just because there are multiple locations that share this name does not mean they are all created equal… I frequent the St Barnabas Rd location but when I found out there was a closer location I figured I could indulge in my addiction more often… WRONG!!! This spot just doesn’t serve the same quality food… I usually get the same dish… red snapper, rice and beans… today was only different because I also got the plantain which is the only reason for the star… My mouth waters at the thought of the red snapper when done correctly but this location has twice disappointed me and served basically fried snapper… Smh no thanks… St B here I come!

This is a great spot for some very good Peruvian/El Salvadorian food. We asked the folks how to describe the«type of food» because it is not Mexican as some folks told us. I got the Chicken Enchiladas with rice and black beans. The lunch portion was dinner sized and ended up being enough for two meals. If you are coming on your lunch break CALLAHEAD and place your order or you will be waiting forever. It is a small place with lines going out the door if you are just going in to make an order. The rotisserie chicken was great and flavorful. I got a rum cake, but two days later eating off the leftovers, I have still not been able to eat that cake yet.

This place was just ok to me. Of course I am going to naturally compare it to Sardi’s chicken(which is delicious). The chicken here seems to be missing that extra kick that you usually get from this type of restaurant. The sauces were just ok. The customer service was nothing to be super excited for. I also think that a place like this should have a good visual meaning you can see the chicken on the rotisserie, smell it, etc. None of that is going on here. Hate to say it but it seems like this restaurant is much more nicer to any Hispanic versus a African American. I say skip this spot and go to Sardi’s which is about 10 minutes away if you can.

Went by here during lunch. And discovered a great quick spot for rotisserie chicken! They have a large menu, service was quick and the food was great. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. It was just the right size for lunch, and the chicken was seasoned very well. The chicken breast was huge too. My only thought was they should consider cutting it up for the customer and put in on top of the salad rather then leaving it in one big piece for us to have to cut with a plastic knife. I will be going back this week since. I saw so many things I want to try!

I did not like it here at all. The chicken tasted like it was sitting under the heat lamp for a couple of days, the portion sizes are small, the people in the back speak Spanish and only one person speaks English apparently so don’t try to ask the person preparing your order to make any changes as they won’t understand. Just wait for the cashier to be available to ask any questions. This place isn’t even a good second choice. I would suggest taking the 15 minutes that you are going to wait for pre-made food to be ready to drive over to Sardi’s for fresher food, more choices for sides, and better customer service.

Nice, clean place. Simple. Nothing Crazy. Nice people, but SLOW service… Call Ahead. As for the food, I’ve tried just about everything on their menu(I use to work down the street). Everything was good except the chicken, which is sad because this is suppose to be one of the signature items. Tastewise, it was okay. It’s roasted chicken. But, I’ve been to many Peruvian-chicken places and this had to be the driest pollo a la brasa ever.

I’m so glad that pizza place is gone! Replacing it with this was a great idea. This place is a step out of the box for a lot of the shoppers of the BLVD. I encourage all of you to take a chance. Trust me you will not regret it. There chicken burrito was one of the best I’ve had so far. One more thing the menu is fairly large and can get confusing. If you just tell them what you want they will let you know how much it is. It just makes things a lot quicker.

Terrible terrible service. Stood and waited for more than thirty whole minutes and it wasn’t even packed. Then on top of that the food did not even taste that good. Do not come here.
