Had lunch there today. Service was fast and friendly. Got a chicken club; one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I have no idea where all the flavor came from. Either the chicken was marinated or it was the aioli. Will definitely be going back. They have a seating area on the side that would easily accommodate a lunch crowd. Parking was fine, but I can see how it might get crowded. I wish they would offer some sides rather than a bag of chips.

Stopped in here for breakfast with my daughter during a «father/daughter business trip» to the Utica /Syracuse /Rochester area. This place has such a great feel to it. Wonderfully renovated and serving up cooked to order dishes. She had the brioche French toast which was delicious. I had the three eggs and home fries breakfast washed down with a great cup of coffee. Please note… they cook the eggs a little on the«wet» side ‚(which I love) so be sure to ask them to cook them a little longer in case you don’t like them this way. I only get out to Utica every other year, but I already know where I’m going for breakfast when I return.

Great place for lunch. They made the grilled cheese for the kids and split the soup in to two serving so they could split it. The French dip and the chicken salad sandwich were both awesome!

Found this place(thanks, Unilocal!) on our way back to home in Illinois from an east coast vacation, and so happy we did! The space is fantastic – clean, warm, inviting, and the people who work there are friendly and warm too! We had breakfast, which was delicious all-around, and we also loaded up on the amazing baked goods for the rest of our road trip! My only regret is that we couldn’t stay for lunch too! I really wanted to try a burger – I heard wonderful things about them!

you are getting great food, it’s peaceful and the food is great. Service is great also. I think this place has the best burger in the Utica Rome area.

Excellent café in the marble-laden Utica Train Station. I was starving at a bench, waiting for a late Amtrak train and followed a pleasant smell right to this little shop. Looking at their menu, there wasn’t much in the vegetarian & vegan vein, but there was a grilled hummus pita which tasted very good. I think the pita could have been just a little bit better with mushrooms though. The hot chocolate with soy milk was also a tasty treat. The prices were a bit high as I paid 9.24 for a pita and hot chocolate but the counter point to that is everything is hand made to order, right in front of you. Doesn’t get much fresher than that. Keeping in mind that this is the only«fast» food establishment within walking distance and it caters to travellers and DMV prisoners, this shop basically has a local monopoly. The food could be much worse, but instead they aim high. The only other thing I noted is the line. When I was there only one person was working on staff at a furious pace, just to get through my order as patrons came and went behind me. I think this place would much better serve travellers waiting to catch their next train if they hired another person to work the cash register and assist in food prep. Overall a nice place to grab a bite.

A simple and clean little café. I randomly spotted this place wandering around the Utica train station. I had a bacon egg and cheese bagel with a friend for brunch and I was surprised by the quality of the food! It was fresh and good. They even have starbucks coffee! Although I have to say the prices for everything was all pretty expensive. Otherwise, it’s a nice, quiet, comfortable place for enjoying coffee and a small meal.

Bagg’s Square is a great little café. Yummy sandwiches, burgers, starbucks coffee and delicious baked goods. The sandwiches are all freshly made, I like the chicken club because it tastes like its right off the grill.(So good!) They are a little pricey(usually around $ 15 for lunch and coffee) so you can’t go there everyday, but its a great place to go for lunch once and a while.

Small portions and very expensive. The food tasted alright, but not worth what your paying.
