Back in the good old days, I used to get a Pro-Deal discount that was quite generous from Eddie Bauer that I could use in-store and online. Now they discontinued that perk and I have to carefully hunt to take advantage of discounts and sales. If you find anything 40% off, that’s pretty much as good as it gets at Eddie Bauer. They have some nice outdoor gear which are pricy but quite good. They also have generous sizing for those of us who can’t fit into size 2 shirts.

Sad. The service in this store has changed drastically. The product has changed too. Its mostly just coats and jackets. And prices have gone up quite a bit. So much for doing my Christmas shopping at EB.

Yes, the clothes are the quality and price they should be. Awesome! What sets this store apart is the staff: in particular Carol. Not only was she helpful, she was friendly and informative. If I shop here again, it will be due to the awesome customer service I received. Additionally, I despise companies that make their employees work on Thanksgiving, Eddie Bauer get a grip.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Good prices, and great selection of clothes, especially for an outlet store.

Found it interesting that I could not find this store listed with ‘outlet’ on Unilocal because this Vacaville location is in the Napa Premium Outlet area. This location has a larger selection than the San Leandro outlet. The manager in particular is a very nice lady. My husband and I both shop here and I think a few employees recognize us. They are quick to greet you and show you current sales. They also quickly offer to check for different colors and the such if needed as well as point out other items they think you may be interested in without making you feel like they’re pushy — they seem genuine. Initial prices seem high, but the sales prices are a little bit easier to digest. There are definitely some good prices, but lately it seems outlets in general have prices close to retail stores. Just a litle note — My favorite item that is available during the winter is their flannel lined jeans. There are quite a few I’ve seen that only have the flannel on the bottom portion of the pants for the ‘look’. Eddie Bauer’s flannel lined jeans are lined throughout and are very comfortable. I found they run just a tad bit large, but probably not enough to go into the next lower size. I was a little irritated during the 2012 Christmas holidays(not the fault of the employees) with the emails I received because there were a few emails advertising Eddie Bauer Stores with all merchandise 40% off(this was after the initial Black Friday/weekend sale). When I clicked on the store location button for the ad, it listed the Vacaville store. There was something I specifically wanted and drove out from the East Bay area. When I got there, the sale was not current and two of the employees said the sale was not for the outlets, but was for the regular stores only. When they also said I wasn’t the only one, I’m hoping someone told their marketing department or made it right by honoring a 40% discount — in my dreams.

My husband and I both shop here for our clothing. Great quality and the service is amazing. Workers greet you as you walk in, announce their sales and are attentive when you need sizes not on display. We are loyal to Eddie Bauer and recommend you buy and visit here. Great casual clothes for comfort.

This is an ok store. In my earlier youth, I always thought of Eddie Bauer to be a higher-end Abercrombie & Fitch and thus avoided it. Yes folks, A&F wasn’t always a slathering of sexy models, club music and men’s cologne sprayed throughout but catered to the outdoorsy type once upon a hatchet. As my years progress, I’m beginning to see that EB does have some rustic style going on there. Sure I don’t live in the frozen tundra needing one of their super warm coats however those do come in handy when the temp drops down to the 20’s in rare cases. I’ve also noticed with other like-minded stores they have been incorporating popular styles as well. This particular location always has friendly staff and they’re not intrusive which that in itself can be hard to come by. While I haven’t purchased too many items yet, I think I might someday be one of those handsome older gents with rustic style :)

Most people already know what Eddie Bauer apparel is all about so I’m just going to focus on the service. This review doesn’t encapsulate any of the corporations business practices as a whole(ie. whether it supports social justice causes, uses sweat shops, etc…). As a particular store, this had some of the best customer service I’ve experienced at a retail venue. I’ve been to this store 5 – 6 times now for various reasons: looking for a sweet deal, returning an online purchase, exchanging pants because of incorrect sizes, looking for gifts, etc… The exposure has led me to interact with 4 – 5 different store reps/cashiers. They’ve ALL been courteous, helpful, and patient. I usually don’t like going to retail stores because of long lines and dealing with ‘fuss’ but I never seem to mind when coming to this particular store. Props to those that reinforce the work culture here!

Shirtaliciousness! After getting my hair cut(okay, cut AND colored) today, I stopped by Eddie Bauer to look for a raincoat for my husband. Lots of jackets but not the RIGHT one. Cripes. Upon leaving, I swooshed past one of many sale racks and out of the corner of my eye spotted a long-sleeved cotton shirt in a gorgeous, yet manly shade of green. And great fabric. I checked the size — good — and then the price. The tag read $ 7.49. That’s $ 7.49. Seven dollars and forty nine cents. I kid you not. Just then I spied another shirt, this one a lovely pumpkiny-rust. Perfect for Thanksgiving, huh? Okay, I get this weird little surge of adrenaline at moments like this and, after composing myself, took the shirts to a sales person to verify this unbelieveable price. «Is this the correct price?» I gushed. «Yup,» he answered. Another surge. It’s not as if my husband really needed more shirts but who could pass these up? They were beeeeutiful! I toured the rest of the store before leaving and was impressed with the presentation of the merchandise as well as the prices. But best of all — my hubby loved his new shirts and I assure you he’ll look amazing on Thanksgiving.
