We had Gourmet Exprezz cater a work meeting. Placing the order was easy and the staff was extremely helpful with making sure we had everything that we needed while helping us account for multiple people’s dietary restrictions(vegetarian, gluten intolerance, etc). The delivery was on time, they helped me set everything up, and very friendly. The food was amazing, a big hit with everyone at the meeting. We did not have one person who had any issues or wasn’t able to eat what was provided. Catering meetings like this can be stressful, trying to be sure you are respectful of everyone’s different things with food. Gourmet Exprezz made this process very easy and delivered some yummy food. Thank you so much!

Genuinely unimpressed. I would much rather eat at Habib’s here in town, or drive down to Suisun for Athenian Grill.

I don’t understand the high reviews; I had the lamb salad and it was nothing special, just iceberg lettuce and salty lamb; the GF had the falafel plate and she said the food was bland, plus it only came with 3 falafels; the price of chickpeas must be going up these days…

Just tried the zucchini plate – it’s BOMB! This will definitely be a repeat.

I saw the reviews and gave this place a try. The place was busy at lunchtime. I ordered the chicken gyro. The young kid was pleasant, his father or grandfather seemed not Very happy lol, but it didn’t bother me. The food i ordered was to go anyways lol. Reminded me of the«Soup Nazi.» Chicken gyro was great, so I’m giving a 5 star for the food.

This place is awesome! Ordered the lamb plate, I had my order in 30 seconds! Talk about express! The vegetables are really fresh, restaurant is clean, and staff is friendly. Also great value for the price. I’ll be back. The food is so good I’m writing and reviewing at the same time!

I have lived in Vacaville for about 14 years and just made it in. I remember a friend asking me if I had tried it years and years ago. He said it was really good. I live down the street! Anyway, better than I expected. Everything was delicious and filling! We love the pita bread and spread, and everything we ordered(a couple gyros and shishkabobs). We will be back!

I came here specifically for a few things. After reading all the reviews I decided I wanted a lamb gyro, babaganoush, tabouli, and a potato cake. Well, one out of four ain’t bad. Apparently their menu has changed, and is trimmed down to only a few things. Disappointing. My gyro was good, but in the absence of the other items that I felt put them above others, I doubt I’ll be making this a regular stop. My gyro was fantastic, but I’m super disappointed in not having everything else.

This is another great kabob place in Vacaville. It’s Greek and Mediterranean style cuisine. My favorite is the chicken kabob meal. Comes with rice, 8oz of chicken, side of tzatziki salad or a tomato salad. My favorite is the tzatziki side. They make their chicken moist and tender and I highly recommend it. The beef sirloin and lamb is also pretty darn good and a few dollars more. They also feature a great falafel sandwich which is only served on Wednesdays and Fridays. I recommend that if you have a chance to get it, but it goes fast. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are clean as well. They could work a little bit more on customer service but I guess if it’s a family ran business, they’re always working seven days a week, I’m sure they are burnt out. But the food is always great and that’s what counts.

We ordered a lamb plate and med salad. Came with Pita Bread and small salad. The lamb was thin slices and not as good as some other places. Place was clean and service was good. Lentil Rice was alright. I liked the simple menu. Paper plates keep the prices down.

Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. Plates provide a very healthy portion(consider sharing). They have three types of rice(plain, lentil, ‘royal’ w/ground beef). The ‘royal’ is the sh-bomb! We only had the chicken, and it was great! Only minus is the absence of a fountain machine so everything is by the can or bottle.

I was looking for a local, small, quiet place where I could get a filling lamb gyro. This is that place! Lamb kabob is next!

Today was my first time here at Gourmet Express. I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area. I took a bit of a risk coming here because I’ve never had Greek food. But man was it a great choice. When you first walk in you will see that there is plenty of seating. It’s not what you would consider«trendy» with how it looks but the food and service and great. They were quick, friendly, and are fair priced. I got the lamb gyro. The lamb had good flavor and good texture. Definitely would recommend this to friends and family!

Love love love. This is my go-to place before work. Love that I can call from my car and pick up my food within 10 minutes on my way to work. The food is always fresh and delicious. Very filling! Always satisfied. Get the perka app for free gyros!

Overall: a good, no frills restaurant with quality food! I have come about five times and have never been disappointed. While the interior is nothing fancy, the food is delicious! The portions are generous. I personally have ordered the plates and always have plenty for lunch the next day.(Their food is delicious left over!) The ingredients are fresh and flavorful! Gourmet Exprezz is great for take-out that you won’t feel too guilty about eating.

Love this place. My fav dish is the lamb kabob meal and their Greek salad. Their veggies are roasted so perfectly. Nothing beats fresh food especially when I’m too tired to cook and don’t feel like eating at a fancy restaurant. I always order my food for pick up but they have a pretty big dining area. The owners are warm and it seems to be a family owned business. I’m so happy to have found this place!

Can you say«yum»!?! I came to Gourmet Exprezz the other day because I was craving a gyro and tabouleh. I was not disappointed. It was one of the best gyros I’ve ever had, and it was HUGE! I was so full that I didn’t even taste the tabouleh(which is now in my fridge to be consumed later). I placed a take-order over the phone. The lady who took my order was sweet and very polite. This was my first time in so I didn’t really know what to expect. They are a counter service style restaurant, and the open food prep area is clean, tidy, and well organized. The staff was so friendly and everyone was smiling. My order was ready when I got there. I paid the nice lady behind the counter and when I got my gyro home I was delighted that it looked and tasted amazing. Gourmet Exprezz will be seeing me again soon, and often!

Great place for a quick lunch, whether you need something to-go or dine-in. Spacious and very clean dining area. I got the lamb plate, which came with a side salad, 1 pita bread, and a side of royal rice. The lamb was grilled and tasted pretty good but lacked some flavor; the salad was simple and fresh tasting; the pita bread was decent; and the royal rice(rice with ground beef and spices) was my favorite part. I wish there were additional condiments or sauces available, could’ve added some spiciness to the dish if I had some hot sauce.

Thank the higher powers for the best shawarma! When I first moved to Vacaville I was depressed about where I was going to eat. It seemed there were only chain restaurants to choose from which didn’t interest me. So through my internet research Unilocal recommended this pearl, but no one else had seen this pearl. The owners told me they were closing next month! So after having and loving the best Shawarmas in my life and then their original Potato Cakes, I returned as much as possible to say goodbye to a match made in heaven but separating too soon. And then, the higher powers that be kept them open and thriving and we lived happily ever after together forever. What makes the Shawarma so good? Everything is fresh, homemade and seasoned perfectly. It comes with a simple side salad too. It will fill you up, and you will have garlic breath for a few hours too! If you get the Potato Cake, ask if they have gravy. It doesn’t come with it, but sometimes they have it. I can’t recommend any particular one because they are all good. Lastly, I recommend heir house hot sweetened Sage Tea. It is very interesting.

Piss-poor customer service from the old lady who I believe is also the owner.(Translation: Service sucks @ss) Regardless of how good your food may be, it’s not THAT good… ‘When you get so full of yourself as to forget basic business principles like customer service, it may be time to consider another line of work. We’ll see how long this ump’teeth review stays up before Unilocal*HQ removes it when the owner cries foul. Poor service = poor review, simple. If Gourmet Express had an honest rating, it would be more in the 3 Star range but I see how they keep their overall status consistently high… ‘By having the negative ones yanked from their business page. When I first wrote my review, there were more unfavorable write-ups but now… A number of them are MIA. Coincidence? I think not. Do not be intimidated by unfair tactics by business owners not wanting to be accountable for sh*tty service by crying to Unilocal*.After all, wasn’t that the driving force behind the heart of Unilocal*… Reviews by the people, for the people… ‘Or has a bit of that been lost in the commercial machine? Originally, I had given this place a Two Star rating but after all this rigging of the system, One Star. I really wanted to give this place a fair try but after my short & sweet visit for a simple cup of coffee… I think not. It doesn’t matter if you sell cars, fine art, or peddling pizzas from a cart… It’s a people business. — Big Aloha!
