By far the WORST fast food place in Vacaville. The very first time I went there I found a small hair in my Oreo shake, and since that’s one of my biggest pet peeves I ended up throwing the rest away. Went there about six months later and ordered a corn dog along with some other food for my family. My corn dog had a giant chunk taken out of it ?? I’m sure it wasn’t a bite mark, but it sure as hell looked like it. Went there today for the first time in almost a year and the lady at the drive thru had a very«I’m better than you, you don’t know what you’re talking about» kind of attitude. I tried giving them one last shot, and I guess the girl in the drive thru settled it for me. I refuse to eat there ever again.

I was in the area and decided to get Sonic because we don’t have one back home. I normally get a limeade but I was in the mood for some ice cream because it was hot. Instead, I ordered a large double stuff Oreo blast and a medium strawberry banana milkshake. My Oreo blast barely had any pieces of Oreo in it so it didn’t even taste how I imagined it to be. The strawberry banana tasted too artificial and was poorly blended. Overall I was really disappointed given that their prices for the medium and large were pretty expensive. Don’t know if I’ll stop by this Sonic again for a milkshake or blast.

It’s 11pm. I’m not expecting skates and smiley trays. I, however, expected more than rude service, cold food, and watered down drinks.

I must stop at sonic every time I’m in Vacaville! I mostly come here because of their endless drink possibilities, my favorite being a Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper ^_^ I also love that they have happy hour from 2−5pm every single day including weekends! Their service is always good they usually come out to my car pretty quick. I recommend this place for sure.

Food is delicious but customer service sucks. Ordered from here twice in 2 weeks and both times my order was incorrect. Tried to call and let them know number just rings and go to a cell phone voicemail.

Typical Sonic Experience. The drive through service was faster then expected since when you Drive-In, it is slow. Lots of staff so it is nice to see the employer staffing correctly for service vs lean to make a better GOP. The issue is that I have a $ 10 certificate that was given to me a while back for a very bad experience during closing time at their American Canyon Location. Same Ownership. When I was in the area and wanted to use it this trip, I was told no, they don’t accept those. I asked why because their address was on it and the employee said I’m sorry but no, we don’t accept those. I asked if there was an ownership change and she didn’t know. I noticed that on the window, it appeared to state the ownership group name, which matches the name on the certificate. The certificate does not have an expiration date. Even if ownership changed, it should have been honored, like a gift card.

Always worth a stop in the way home from the North Bay. So many options that you can have a new thing every time you go!

They had technical difficulties that delayed our order to be taken but once it was taken we got our food pretty fast. I had my doubts for the fast service but they proved me wrong. The I got the double cheese burger meal with onion rings and am iced tea. My drink was filled with ice and so my drink didn’t last the meal. The onion rings tasted like it had a pancake batter that I didn’t like much. Overall it was a fast and good visit.

WORSTSERVICEEVER!!! I like Sonic just for their slushies and blasts! So when I’m in town I like to go and most definitely when it’s so warm, I don’t have one where I live in Chico. I’ve always had great experiences at Sonic, but not today 4.2.16 So I drove to the Vacaville Sonic before I had work at 6pm I wanted to order a drink because it was very warm today. I ordered a Large Coconut Cherry Sprite Slush & a small cup with extra cherries and the lady on intercom at the outside drive up window didn’t listen to what I wanted and then she said my order was $ 5.45 which is odd when I ONLY ordered 1 thing when it should just be $ 3– something. I kept pushing the outside button to get someone’s attention but no one answered. Then two different girls came out on roller blades and kept coming out with different drinks what I didn’t order!!! I was so angry I just left! Went to work«Drink less» Wow! I’m NEVER again I’m going to Sonic in Vacaville on the weekend since they can’t get their Shit together!!! Unbelievable!!!

This is a strange location and I can’t really explain why. What I do know is the food is «blah» but it’s good for the kids(grilled cheese) to/from our Tahoe adventures.

I’m not sure why every Sonic on Unilocal has such horrible ratings. It’s unfortunate because I’ve always had positive experiences at every Sonic I’ve been to, and this one isn’t any different. Our waitress roller skated effortlessly to our car with our drinks, and was very friendly! I always order a Route 44(the biggest size) strawberry limeade, and it’s always delicious. They have happy hour everyday from 2 pm — 5 pm, and all of their drinks are half off! I don’t understand why there isn’t a Sonic in Sacramento. Please please please come to Sacramento!

This is the first Sonic location I’ve seen in the country that has an indoor dining area. They also have the outdoor area, and they don’t have those benches that seem to be made of wire that make you want to eat quickly and leave. My knowledge of Vacaville is minimal, but we got here and I’m not sure whether I parked in the Sonic lot or the park-and-ride lot since they seem to be connected. Ordering is as easy as it is at any Sonic location. We didn’t have to compete for the speaker as everyone else was in the drive-thru line. After they took the order, the light on the card slot kept flashing, so it seems that they don’t take cash. Maybe, they don’t want to handle cash. It could be a risk. The receipt came with the food at a later time. It wasn’t but a few minutes and a woman arrived on roller skates with the food. She rolled back into the kitchen before we realized that there was only one packet of salt, no ketchup, and very few napkins. I can appreciate the speed but it’s much better when everything is there. My chicken strips were dry, dry, dry. I didn’t eat all of them. The tater tots were good, and we didn’t need extra salt, actually. My buddy’s burger was said to be good, as were the tater tots, once he got some ketchup. Overall, it was okay, and I’d probably order a chili dog instead of chicken strips, if I return. I like that they had an enclosed dining area. Prices aren’t great but going across the street to Dairy Queen would probably have been more expensive.

I ordered a cherry lime aide from drive thru. The young lady seemed nice but she didn’t have my drink when I got to the window and continued to make me wait. While I was waiting there was a young boy, maybe 19. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt and what looked Like a blue visor. After listening to this kid say«that’s f-ingawesome» and«no f-ing way» while talking to a co worker(again, no drink ready) I knew I’d never return. This location is really the only one in proximity to my work and I won’t return because of the lack of professionalism the company seeks in employees.

I decided to go back here and grab some fast food for breakfast. The service was excellent and I was very happy about how friendly and customer oriented the person helping us was. I know that it’s just one data point but compared to the last time(which I gave a 1 star rating due to poor service), this was remarkably better. The breakfast sandwich itself was pretty good.

Sonic… ‘Sinking, sank’d, stunk’d. It was a cool 92 °F, August afternoon, the last time I stopped by this particular location. I thought that it’d be nice to have a relaxing bite from the comfort of my car, in the slightly cooler shade of the stalls… ‘AND having my lunch hand delivered to me via a roller-skating«waitress,» is just a guh’roovie perk. Photo — Well, the thought was nice.(Insert needle scratching across record — ‘And for those of you who do not know what an LP, 33, or a record is, «Google it.») I’ve been to Sonic a number of times, never a bad experience… ‘Until that fateful day. I sat in my car for a good 10 – 15 minutes, contemplating what to order as I navigated the extensive menu… Hey, I wasn’t in any rush, just enjoying the down time. The NEW, Original Croissant Dog, caught my eye. A simple unadulterated hot dog served with yellow mustard on a croissant bun, sounds good! Photo — I also remembered that I liked their cheeseburger, so I added one to my order just for good measure. I was in need of a little pick me up so I ordered a Java Chiller w/Toffee flavoring as well. The NEW, Original Croissant Dog looked & tasted more like a bagel dog… ‘Fail. There was no flaky, croissant bun, see photo.(And if indeed it was employee error, «THEYHAVEONEDAMNJOB! Picking out a simple hot dog bun!) ‘And they want to raise California’s minimum wage to $ 15/hour? Photo — After I finished the WTF dog, I was still hopeful. After all I had my «good measure» cheeseburger to look forward to and possibly make up for this poor excuse of a $ 3 hot dog… ‘And if by «make up for it,» I mean old, dried out, hard, crusty, sitting under a heat lamp for 30 minutes, bun then it succeeded! That’s two crappy @ss items in a row… Who’s in charge here?!(Date: 08÷03÷15 at 14:38:41) The«Crusty Burger» — I don’t usually write up «FAT food,» spots unless the service is very exceptional or as in this fine example, sucked more than all the Hoovers @ a vacuum cleaner convention. I rarely eat fat’ass food but when I do, I’d like to be sure that the artery clogging, heart disease, fat pushing, franchises are going to make it worth my while… Sonic, you failed with flying colors. I salute you as I pass gas in your general direction. You have your lame excuse of a croissant dog and cardboard buns to thank for that, and you’re welcome.(Well, at least I hope that was gas I was passing.) The order — Croissant Dog($ 2.99): WTF?! Do not bother ordering this; waste money Sonic Cheeseburger($ 3.99): «M’eh…»; the bottom bun was crusty and hard; flour fortified foam core Photo — Java Chiller w/added toffee($ 3.84): Good; the only saving grace to the entire meal Photo — Grand total: $ 11.65 Receipt — The service from the young lady taking @ the order window, to the one who rolled out to my car delivering my greasy bag of high cholesterol gifts was great! I’ve never had a bad experience with any Sonic team member during the number of times I’ve been to this location. Up until now, I’ve always thought that this location was«Okay.» It wasn’t über-groovy, Kryptonian super, nor did it suck hockey pucks either… It was what one would expect from a fast food spot, albeit a bit on the $$ side in comparison. Well, then there was this particular day…(Sigh) At least they were consistent in being bad!(Insert applause here) However, the JC was my crappy lunch, savior — «AAAAA’MEN! Mahalo, Java Chiller!» I’m unsure when I’ll be returning to this particular location and if I do, I may just limit my orders to strictly«beverage items» only… There are a lot of fat food joints in the area with equally mediocre food. — Welcome to Vacaville! I was always on the fence when it came to Sonic, they’re were smack dab in the middle of the nothing-special, metaphorical road on the fat food highway… However, now it seems they’re stuck on the side of the road with a flat. The service here has always been great, no attitudes, just friendly & helpful team members but this last experience was just completely asinine. Waste money. Note: It has been over three months since this clusterf*k of a lunch and I’ve yet to return. Pau.(Done.) — Big Aloha! Food: 2(+1 star for the Java Chiller; the only good thing from the entire meal) Ambiance: 3 Service: 3+ Value: 1

Ordered the ultimate chicken sandwich traditional. First they showed up with the wrong order. Then came back with the wrong order again. I pressed the button and was told oops we will fix it. As of 1204am not fixed. I did ask to talk to the Mgr but they refused to let me deal with him. As of 1208am I pressed the order button again for the status and was pretty much told you are SOL. I flagged a car hop down and demanded my money back. This is a joke. Never did get my food.

Every time I drive between the bay and Sacramento, I make a point to visit Sonics. Why? THEMILKSHAKES. I also love how you can order from your car, and the food gets delivered to you. Other than the shakes, I don’t think I’ll be ordering anything else from Sonics. It seems that everything is prepackaged and warmed upon ordering. Last time, I decided to get out of my comfort zone, so I ordered a junior cheeseburger. However, when I got the cheeseburger, it was really cold. I also ordered the popcorn chicken, which was mostly salty breading. Drinks. Good. Food. Bad.

If I could give half stars my rating would be a two and a half. The food is subpar, but their slushies, shakes, and blasts are the bomb. I’ll be honest and say that I’ve only tried a few food items from their menu. I have been really disappointed by the food I’ve gotten and do not feel particularly inclined to try anything else. Their popcorn chicken is really just a bunch of breading and a small amount of chicken and their hot dogs taste really old and processed. Also, each time my food has been cold. It’s not like I’ve waited a really long time to get my food. I think they just leave food sitting around. I love their slushies and limeades! It’s all about the cranberry limeades and blue raspberry slushies. Sonic gets bonus points for half off slushies between 2 – 4PM. Their shakes are good, not great and their blasts are comparable to DQ’s blizzards. I personally think Sonic blasts are a bit better. Service is usually pretty good. I always go through the drive-thru and usually they get my order right. I almost got ripped off my last visit. I ordered a small blast and they gave me a mini and then they just closed the drive-thru window in my face. Sometimes the girls working here seem more interested in socializing with their friends than doing their job. I’ll keep coming back to Sonic for their limeades and slushies, but I’ll continue to skip over their food.

Driving up to the Sacramento area means I have to make a stop at Sonic for a strawberry limeade! This time though, the banana-bo-bana shake was calling my name. Just be warned, a small size was GINORMOUS enough for 3 people to share. This is typical of the Sonic drinks — they are packed with tons of sugar and too large in size. Watch out for the calories, but it is definitely worth an occasional indulgence. The drive in aspect is super cute too. My friends loved the experience of ordering and having the food brought out to you.
