Uptown Tans

Well that was disappointing. Walk in to try a new tanning place with a friend who currently goes there and her and I get treated terrible. She had a separate issue that I think the older woman handled improperly but that has nothing to do with me. I told the older woman that I hadn’t tanned in almost a year and she told me, «god help you.» I tanned all summer on our boat, I’m not a pale ghost by any means, I just didn’t need to go to a tanning salon till now, but she can continue with her assumptions. I tried to ask what the packages were or anything at all and she was short and rude. She had no knowledge of why I would spend $ 45 per month vs. the $ 75 per month for the other package besides knowing it was called «Platinum» and you can use any bed you want. Oh well, I’ll take my business somewhere else where they actually treat customers with respect.

I love UpTown Tans and everyone that works there! The place is remodeled beautifully, the beds are great and the whole staff is so knowledgeable on all things tan! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Best place to tan… very clean and friendly. Have tanned other places in the past and none of them even come to par with Uptown :)

Very affordable and clean! They even have a red light therapy bed, customer service has been great too! Highly recommend it!

Great prices, great service, great beds

I moved to the area about a year ago and have tried 2 other tanning salons before finding this salon and thank god i did. I love the family friendly environment and will personally never tan anywhere else! The staff are always super nice and the beds are even better! Speaking from someone who worked at a tanning salon for 3 years i definitely would and do recommend this salon to everyone looking for a beautiful tan and a friendly environment to get one in :)

I will never return to this place after my encounter with the owner at blondies. As a business owner, you should be excited when someone says they recognize you from your salon, usually that means that they have been there and instead of being snotty and telling them they don’t look like they tan, you should be trying to get them back into your salon. That’s generally how places stay in business. Just because you think that you might be old enough to be my parent, doesn’t mean you should treat me with any less respect than you would someone you thought was older. BTW, I’m 26 and a mother of two. As if it wasn’t uncomfortable enough already walking into a place where teenagers are sitting around on each others laps looking like they just rolled out of bed in their pajama bottoms, only getting up to check you in while the owner is no where in sight. This place is no where close to the welcoming, family oriented business described in previous comments.

Owner is very friendly and knowledgable. Salon is clean, hours are good. Rarely have to wait for a bed. Employees and volunteers are always friendly. Bulbs are changed on a regular basis, no wasting your time and money:-)

This place is great! I walked in and felt very welcomed! Nancy was very nice and extremely helpful! This place is super clean, which is always a plus! I’ve tanned at numerous salons in Vacaville and this place is by far my favorite! I purchased a VIP membership and look forward to tanning here! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to tan!

Great place for spray tanning. Takes longer cause is not a booth. Great service. Nice staff.

I had been going to the same tanning salon for years and recently became very unhappy with them so I decided to make the switch to this salon. I’m not one that likes change so it’s difficult for me to try a new place. I was extremely happy I did. The place is very cute and clean and I instantly felt at ease (which is important considering the state of undress your in when you tan) The owners mother originally helped me and she was super sweet and polite. They have a coupon for new clients as well so it was nice to save a little money. When I came out from tanning, I met the owner and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that she is a Lon time Vacaville resident and that we know a lot of the same people. I try to support my hometown as much as possible with my business so this is great. I do hair for a living, so I will definitely be referring everyone to this place. If you are looking for a great place to tan with all brand new equipment at a reasonable price this is the place to go.
