Was not a good experience. Does not seem like they can handle capacity. We ordered pick up and when we got it home the order was not correct and the pizza was not good. Additionally, they were out of gluten free pizza. We are locals and will not go back.

Worse experience ever, will not go back. The menu is VERY confusing, difficult to determine what you are going to pay until the register rings you up. A 16″ thin crust pizza with one topping cost almost $ 20. They had a special posted on the door that was clearly visible as you walked by, Sunday Night Football Specials During Broncos Games: 1 Coors light Pitcher, 8 Buffalo WIngs, 1 Large Pepperoni Pizza, $ 25 + tax. Asked for this special on January 242016(Sunday), this was the Broncos vs Patriots game. They said they could not offer this because there was no way to ring up on the register. I told them this was false advertising, the store clerk said to take this up with the store owner. Store owner was nowhere to be seen. You would think if you complain they would just take the money($ 25 + tax) and deal with the store manager later. Nope, the store employee was not about to help. This store replaced a Soup joint, Mizzupa, wish that store was still there. But for now I would not give them the time or day.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way to Beaver Creek as one of our coworkers claimed they have the best pizza! So we decided to check it out. This is a small café with tables along the perimeter of the room. It’s a type of place for takeouts. Anyway, they have a limited selection of signature pizzas but you can always choose your own toppings. You have options for the sizes of the pizza from the cut, tray, round, etc. I wasn’t too impressed with their signature toppings. But I went ahead and ordered the Harvester since it was lunch time. The wait was 15 – 20 minutes for our orders, which was a bit longer than expected. My Harvester pizza was nothing but a plain Margherita pizza with veggies on top! The crust was just ok, typical thin crust. And they overcharged me by $ 2! I’ve had plenty of good pizza ranging from thin crust, deep dish, pan and the pizzas here paled in comparison on all levels! In my opinion, their pizzas are just mediocre at best. If you’re looking for some seriously delicious pizza, it’s worth considering other options.

Ordered pizza and buffalo chicken tenders for delivery, was quoted a time of 45 – 50 minutes. When the food arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes later it was cold. Not even slightly warm, cold like it had been sitting in a car or on a counter for 30+ minutes. When I called to tell them about it the person on the phone said they would talk to their supervisor and get back to me. They never called back. Disappointed to say the least.

I have to disagree with the poor reviews. As far as «not knowing good pizza,» I’m from Chicago. I know what EXCELLENT pizza tastes like. And this is solid pizza. A little pricey, sure, but they have a buyer program that significantly reduces the cost for locals. And the vegetarian za I had was flavorful, and well-made. As far as the price-quality ratio in this town, this would be my top pick(though to be fair, I haven’t tried Local Joe’s new recipe).

Tonight I got a pizza from here, I ordered ham and pepperoni, when I went to pick it up, they guy said; ham and pineapple right? So the order was incorrect so I had to wait 25 extra min!!! When I finally get the pizza home, trying to enjoy when I pull a 10inch piece of plastic pepperoni casing from my mouth!!! These guys must be SUPER stoned to have forgotten that! I won’t be returning! I expect more from a $ 25 pizza!

We were staying in vail for the week and on our last night we ordered pizza. I have had good pizza and terrible pizza in life and have to say this is one of the worst pizza I ever had tasted. The sauce tasted like water down tomato juice. In other words, no flavor at all. The cheese tasted bland and the pepperoni was just little thin slices of greese. Either people who rated this with more than one star never had decent pizza or were super stoned so anything would taste good. In the words of my seven year old«two thumbs down dad!»

Not very good pizza. But they charge premium prices. It is Vail thus they can overcharge and deliver poor quality and still stay in business.

So here’s the jist on the Old Forge Pizza Company. The folks on the phone were extremely polite and the delivery was very prompt. Unfortunately that’s about as good as it got. I ordered a Caesar salad and a 16 inch thin crust pizza to be delivered to my hotel. The Caesar salad had brown lettuce consistently throughout and the pizza was delivered warm and unfortunately lacking any real character or taste. I am left feeling disappointed and wishing I had listened to the hotel staffs recommendations and not Unilocal’s reviewers. Definitely not 4 stars or boxes or whatever those things are. People, please try to be more honest with your reviews as people like myself who travel for work do rely upon them. Usually the reviews are quite accurate. 2 boxed stars only because I can’t give 1 and a half. Sadly, I have lost my appetite for pizza.

This is some of the best pizza EVER! Super crunchy crust, great flavor, just«awesome» as Ron put it. We had the Butler specialty pizza… freaking awesome! It’s a small place with only high tops hairs and tables, but it has a great view of some of the mountains in Vail.

Holy sweet mother of amazing crust Batman. I would travel through miles of nausea inducing, hallucination causing altitude sickness again to make my way back to this amazing place. Why are the reviews so few? Seriously take this review to heart because I don’t review lightly. I cannot describe the buttery, gooey, cheesy mouth orgasm I experienced with the pepperoni and cheese bread I consumed, but if you want the most delicious, life changing slice of heaven you could ever ask for, dine at Old Forge.

My wife and I are from northeastern PA, and now live in Colorado. What a great find this place turned out to be! Very friendly staff, fast service, and pizza like no place else on earth. Whenever we talk to friends who have moved away from NEPA, the thing they miss the most is the pizza. Thanks for bringing this style of pizza to Colorado! We’ll never venture out this way again without planning a stop for some more of this excellent pizza!

Best delivery pizza in town! The staff is very friendly and provides a fun experience. I’m definitely returning to this location time and time again!

The atmosphere is more fast-food-restaurant-ish, with no sit down tables(just high stools type of seating). That was fine, but different from what I expected! The location looks out to the mountains, but also is a part of a complex of other restaurants and stores(Safeway is right next door). They had gluten-free pizza, which was great! We loved it. The crust was not especially bread-y or crispy unfortunately, but it had nice flavor to it. The tomato sauce is so tasty! They also have fun combinations of toppings. It’s all freshly prepared and the staff are friendly. Greek salad was perfect, and huge! It is worth the $ 8 you pay for it. Overall, a great place to grab a bite to eat, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price unless you don’t mind it being a grab and go, or eat quickly kind of meal.

I think the staff and service was fine, but they have changed their menu. They used to service a calzone type item. It was stuff with cheese and your choice of meat. While this was the best thing on the menu they no longer offer it. The pizza is just ok but that stuffed breadstick/calzone was simply amazing. I don’t think I will return.

Incredible service, friendly staff, amazing pizza. Conveniently located just a short drive away from Vail’s main village, it’s worth getting in the car for. If you go, you’ll find that Old Forge could easily compete with any of any of the major chains out there. As an added bonus, they also offer some gluten-free options for discerning diners.

Solid pie with great options. The red, white and pesto pies have all been delicious. Many topping choices. Worth and stop if your passing through Vail and want a tasty Pie!
