We stayed here to see the GoPro Mountain Games 2015 event. In a nutshell, we wish we could stay at this hotel longer to just indulge ourselves. First of all, their hospitality made us want to visit here again. When we made a reservation by phone, a concierge(Mr. Chris) suggested doing that online using hotel’s website would be more affordable, so we did that. All staff was very attentive and congenial. Second, our room had a fabulous mountain and river view and gorgeous hot tub and shower. Amenities were AVEDA brand which made me feel really glad. The décor and furniture are refined and needless to say, they were clean and neat. Third, they had a upscale breakfast buffet. Even though you’re very healthy eater, surely you would be satisfied. Of course for big eater, they provided substantial meal. In spite of the fact, they have a great sports facility including indoor & outdoor jacuzzi, steam bath, and dry sauna, business hour is until 8:00 pm. That was my only beef. Instead, you can take a yoga class from 6:30 am. Over all, as a lot of other people’s good reviews have indicated, this place is where you should go when you visit Vail.

I stayed mid August and loved it. I had never been to Vail, so I wasn’t sure if the hotel would be convenient to the main village area. Luckily it was about a 5 minute stroll. The public parking lot is conveniently located across the street. The rooms were very cozy, large and very clean. The beds were also extremely comfy! Staff was friendly and quick with the check in process. In fact, I mentioned that I only put down 2 for the reservation and I wanted to add 2 more to my reservation. I assumed that I would have to pay the extra person fee but he mentioned it would be fine, even with the complimentary breakfast. There were plenty of options for breakfast and it was yummy. I did not take advantage of the spa or gym, hopefully next time. Overall, I had a great stay and I will definitely be back.

This place is great. Very nice facilities. I had a massage and it was one of the best ever. We will definitely spend more time here on our next visit to Vail.

We stayed here the last week of May and loved our stay. The place was pretty empty since it was off season, but the staff was all very helpful and kind. Our room was comfy and the breakfast was really good everyday and included. We loved using the gym and spa. The staff was very helpful with telling us great hikes in the area like Hanging lake, and helping us find white water rafting companies. Would definitely stay here again. Lots of little extra perks like fresh muffins and tea all day.

Came for a long weekend in February and I hope to return. Everything was wonderful. Great location at the end of Vail Village. Room was large, cozy, clean and quiet. HVAC system was great but the free wifi was weak. The spa and gym(Vitality Center) were beyond anything I could have wanted — and I’ve visited some very nice spas. This one was top notch — newly redone, gorgeous design, and all the staff and services were incredible. I did a guided snowshoe with Ellen, the first American woman to climb Mt Everest from both sides. Ahem. That’s some pretty impressive staffing. Hotel and restaurant staff were also great and the food fantastic. They could invest in a cart/table for room service. Breakfast at Terra Bistro is included and the 5−6p happy hour with half priced apps is a total bargain in this fancy town with resort pricing.

Did not enjoy our stay. No air conditioning. Don’t stay here ion the summer. Very few typical amenities; have to ask for ice. Coffee maker did not work. Restaurant is ok but nothing great

I think it’s a great place and the staff are just wonderful! The lodge is convenient to all the skiing and ski school. There is no shuttle which is $ 56 on the Colorado Mountain Express which can take FOREVER if you have 11 people in your car like I did, or you can take a cab for $ 156. It’s not an easy place to get to and not affordable by any stretch.
