Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

Not sure what happened here but this is how the miso glazed salmon was served. Rice was hard and undercooked. The steamed broccoli took way longer to come out and was clearly microwaved. Terrible quality.

This Restaurant is super clean, superb wait staff and excellent food with very generous portions at reasonable prices.

Chicken tender platter. Huge portion. Tasted great. Great value for the price. Hot and served quickly.

Great music. Extremely slow service. In their defense we were with a Lange group and it seemed to overwhelm them. Saturday at lunch was to much of a rush for them.
We will try it again — mistakes happen and they tried to work through it.

Great service and atmosphere. Food is good but not served as hot as I was expecting.

Amazing Food and costumer service. Great prize for the food that was served. The design of the building was extraordinary. Really recommend passing by it on a road trip like us.

If you are like me, you will probably laugh at the name of «Chedders» with the tag line, «casual dining.» If you are also like me, you will be blown away at how nice it is on the the inside, and the really affordable prices for their food.
The best way to describe this place is that it’s very similar to a Applebee’s or Chilies. Or at least something similar in dining experience. The menu is diverse with steaks, salads and lighter plates. I ordered Lemmon pepper chicken that came with 2 pieces and 2 sides. I was able to select a healthy option with steam broccoli and carrots all for $ 8.95!
Overall, a great value for its price.

I would normally give this place 5 stars but today the food was overcooked and the service sucked!

Had my wedding dinner there, and it was perfect. We were a group of 8, and every single one of us was beyond happy with our food, and the service! We were instantly greeted at the door, the entire restaurant was extremely nice, and clean. Our server was with us within a matter of minutes got our drinks to us quickly, all of our food was cooked just right and got out to us in a decent time. Definitely would recommend to others!

This Cheddars location is excellent! The food is good, the portions are generous, and the wait staff is very attentive to the diners’ needs! I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Everyone I’ve ever met rants and raves about Cheddars, and to some degree, they’re right.
The place is louder than holy hell. The service is decent, and the food is above average.
The portions are insanely American (which to me is a good thing!). They have a wide variety on their menu.
I never left disappointed, but honestly, it’s a slightly above average restaurant.

I would truly love to give this place a better review but there were more negatives than positives. Our visit was on a Wednesday evening and we were seated right away. We had a very attentive waitress who approached our table right away. The food was very good and we would order the same salads again. If you are looking for an exotic selection of mixed drinks then this place can fulfill that.
Now for the negatives. If you are looking for a place with a good beer selection, do not come here. They definitely need to update their beer menu with a better selection of microbrews. There are just too many out there now. We were celebrating a special occasion and was in the mood for a «good» cold draft beer.
We were seated in a booth in the bar area so this next remark may have something to do with where we were. It was a very warm spring evening. The thermostat must have been set on 60 because there was frigid air blowing right down on us! We begged our waitress to ask management to turn the temperature up which lasted about 2 minutes and then it was right back to cold air again.
All in all we will not return here unless they update their beer selection. And we would definitely not sit close to a vent again.

Staff is always friendly and prompt. Always have a great time and experience here. Food is made to order and doesn’t take forever to come out. The servers are knowledgeable of the menu and are able to make suggestions. Always clean inside and out. Great place to have drinks with friends or to bring the family.

It’s been a few years since I stopped in at a Cheddars, but it was a perfect stop for a quick dinner.
Started with chips, queso & salsa, nothing special but they did keep the chip bowl full.
Dinner orders were all over the road, but had a common theme, chicken salad, buffalo chicken wrap & chicken fried steak. If you were a feathered fowl in Valdosta, GA tonight you had to be a bit nervous.
My buffalo chicken wrap was huge, cut into quarters and packed with chicken, coleslaw & pickles. Managed to eat half and then grabbed the other half for a midnight snack.
Our drink glasses were refilled the moment, and I mean moment they were ¹⁄₃ empty. Friendly & fast service and a decent value for the money.

I’m kinda torn… I’ve been here a couple other times (before Unilocal) and was impressed but today was a little ho-​hum — i started off with a tower of onion rings and noticed as i started they were a little greasy and by the time I was at the bottom you could hardly eat em because of the grease — then came the main course: tenders and shrimp both buffalo — i couldn’t decide between the two so this i thought was a perfect compromise at only 2 $ more than the tender plate — well the 2 $ extra gave me 2 less tenders and only 4 shrimp… and by midway of the plate my tenders were very soggy and cold — our server was courteous and prompt however it took her 3 attempts to bring me an unsweetened tea refill — she claims the pitchers were labeled wrong — and as other reviews have noted our side of the restaurant was extremely loud (i think this may be related to the brick walls…) i really wish I had listened to other reviews and traveled up the road to a highly recommended restaurant… oh well I know for next time

The onion rings are good and the beer is always cold. Several TV’s throughout the restaurant, will change the station if asked. Met the manager Kim, nice young lady. The bacon cheeseburger, juicy and cheesy.

Cheddars is always a great place to dine with awesome food and great service. Our waiter today was Chase and he has been on top of everything with a n awesome attitude.

We frequent Cheddars about once a month. The food is pretty good along with a decent portion size for your money. Prices average between $ 10 – 20. Your wait is average for the restaurants depending on the day and time.
This particular visit I got the New Orleans pasta. They service was pretty quick and kept our drinks full. You must get the honey butter crescents with the raspberry sauce. Have to ask for the sauce, it usually comes with the Monte Cristo. Favorite meals: Dijon chicken, Buffalo chicken fingers, Country fried steak, Broccoli casserole.
**The only thing at Cheddars is that it is extremely loud. They seat a lot of people inside and can get very loud, where you cannot hear people sitting with you, especially if they seat you next to a large party.

We ate at Cheddars for the first time today and I am sure that it will not be our last. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing and the staff was professional and attentive.
We started out with two appetizers — cheese sticks and onion rings. The cheese sticks were food but the onion rings were great. The remoulade sauce was just right with the ideal amount of kick.
My wife ordered the shrimp and they were fried to perfection. I had the vegetable plate with house salad. The red beans and rice was very good and the broccoli cheese casserole was fantastic. The edamame beans were the low point… pretty bland and not shelled as mature edamame beans should be.
Overall, the experience and food were both very good and the prices were extremely reasonable. Just the sort of neighborhood grill experience that the chain was intending to deliver. I would highly recommend Cheddar’s.

Simply said … Bad service and bad food. Waited too long for the server to take the order. Food was acceptable but just that. Taking this place off our list to eat.

We love us some Chedders. I realize this seems like another chain restaurants such as Applebee’s or Chili’s, in fact it is, but they know how to do it right!
I love the layout of the place, the big tables and separate bar area. This particular Cheddars was very neat and organized, clean in appearance, and everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant! And I mean super pleasant!!! Very friendly folks at this place.
The happy hour specials were a really great deal. I believe the appetizers were $ 3.50 as well as a few specialty margaritas. In fact all the prices are very reasonable. My Keylime chicken and shrimp shown in the picture was only $ 8.99. My honey’s tilapia dinner was also only $ 8.99.
Our dinner arrived in a reasonable time, it was very hot and everything was cooked perfectly. The red beans and rice are to die for. Give them a try if you’re in a city that has a Cheddars restaurant. I believe you will be very happy!

Food was pretty decent. Atmosphere was quite nice. Prices were fantastic! I was just passing through town but I think this place wasn’t bad at all.
