This place is really good. We were in Valdosta touring VSU and stopped in on our way back to Jacksonville. I had the BBQ trio with ribs, pork and brisket. My wife and daughter had the pork sandwiches. My son had the St Louis and baby back ribs. The BBQ was wonderful and there were about 7 different sauces. I stuck with the mustard based throughout my meal since it was so good. The collards and macaroni & cheese that I had as sides were very good. The star of the meal was the desert. They had this unbelievable peach cobbler and ice cream desert bar. It was seriously the best cobbler I have ever had… peach or otherwise. It was warm and perfectly crumbly with a sweet cinnamon topping. The vanilla ice cream was thick and creamy for soft serve. I highly recommend this place if you are in Valdosta, GA.

Great I-75 dinner stop. Portions are huge. Using the waitress tip, the four of us(2 kids, 2 adults) basically split two of the Smok’n Pig Trios(platters) and we had leftovers. Really, really good barbecue. Pulled pork, ribs and brisket all excellent. Brunswick stew was one of the best we’d had. Wonderful sauce selection. Salad bar was fresh. Good cobbler and soft serve ice cream comes with your meal. Can’t go wrong here! Caution: Don’t be misled by their menu. This is not the Olé Times Country Buffet. That’s another chain owned by the same people.

I dreamed about this place and finally had the chance to eat here. 1. Good place physically, huge and a big parking lot. 2. The food service was great, the non sweetened Ice Tea was better than many sweet ice teas that I have had. 3. I had the three meat plate, of ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The meat was bland, didn’t have the smokey flavor even though the placed smelled great. The green beans were weak and tasted straight out of the can but the Mac and Cheese and Peach Cobbler are excellent. The meats are perfectly tender, but could be more smokey and I was disappointed. 4. The sauces are plentyfull. Their hot is not that hot, but their Original and Carolina styles are just great, fabulous. The sweet sauce is SWEEEEEEET! I was disappointed in the flavor of the meat itself, more smoke.

Waitstaff was nice. Sauces were above average. Pulled pork and brisket were among the worst I’ve had. People thin-slice brisket when it’s bad, and this is bad. Some sides were really good, but what I came here for was not. I won’t be back.

Stopped by here on the way home from Tennessee. I had the sliced pork and my wife had the BBQ chicken. The sliced pork was good but nothing spectacular. It was somewhat dry. The BBQ chicken was the winner here. It was tender, juicy, and delicious. It didn’t need any sauce. The platter came with a trip to the salad bar(decent) and mac-n-cheese. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I’d try it again for the ribs or the chicken, but not the sliced pork.

This place is good, but don’t let its name fool you. My favorite stuff on their menu has nothing to do with pigs — get the pulled chicken or the prime rib sliders. The sweet potato side is great, the mac n’ cheese is good, and the peach cobbler’s awesome with the ice cream on top. The pork is pretty bland for my tastes — pecan smoked, and honestly, it just doesn’t have much of a flavor to it. Barbecue sauce helps. Somehow, the pecan smoking works way better on the chicken! Servers are always nice here. They definitely go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and they’re quick with orders. So there it is — go to the Smokin’ Pig and don’t get pig, and you’ll have a good time.

Decent BBQ joint. Nothing overly special but good. Lots of sauce choices that were yummy. Good service and nice environment. My husband had ribs and brisket. I had pulled pork. For sides we had sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese, and baked beans. All good.

Stopped in on a road trip and had the baby back ribs with baked beans and creamed corn. The ribs were good but not great, and the baked beans were overly sweet. There are 6 sauces to choose from, and I ended up liking one(the Carolina) while the rest were just OK. The service was friendly and fast but unfortunately the food was just middle of the road.

Not the best barbecue I’ve had ever, but it is quality. Food was presented well and flavorful. Brisket was the only exception… it needs some bark on it to give it more flavor. Salad bar was excellent and a it being complimentary with any entrée is a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall very good experience and will go back next time I’m in the area.

Oh my gosh, this is the BESTBBQ anywhere! This place freaking rocks! I can’t get enough of their pulled pork! I’d eat this place about every day if I lived in the area. Thank goodness I don’t or I’d be 300 pounds, all due to the Smok’n Pig. I’ve eaten here more times then I can count and we always get great service with a smile, and the food is off the charts awesome. Can’t wait for my next visit to this place.

I’ve been smoking and eating BBQ almost before I could crawl. Like something else I can think of, BBQ can best be described as variations of «goodness». Having said that, Smok’n Pig BBQ is some of the best I’ve had. I recommend the ribs but I have it on good recommendation that the pulled pork is superb. Have the fresh pig skin appetizer. And the prices for this high level of cooking are very reasonable. Go. Eat. Enjoy! And p. s. to Alice S.: California has BBQ? :-)

I have no idea why people are saying they’re BBQ experts and this is good BBQ. I’m not even from the south and we’ve had WAAAAY better BBQ in CA. Heck, my own pork rib and pulled pork recipe is WAY better than this! We got there about 1PM and ordered pulled pork, beef brisket, pork ribs. Everything was DRYASBONE. Even drenched in sauce there was no saving it. I was truly astonished, we’re in the SOUTH for crying out loud! The trimmings were okay. Got collard greens, cream corn, okra and mac and cheese. They were all good.

Let me tell you this place is the bomb. I don’t say that often about a restaurant nor they pay me to say this. I had the ribs and they where outstanding«fall of the bones kind of ribs». I can’t remember the name of the sides, but it was a soup of some sort with shredded chicken and some green fried little balls that all though bland in flavor because they where deep fried maid them delicious. There was plenty of staff at this location and they have an abundance of seating. I look forward in coming back here.

Excellent consist BBQ restaruant. I live in WI and have been here 4 times. I ordered the triple platter this time ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. Pulled pork very good. Chicken moist every time and delicious. The ribs were ok. Lot of sauces to choose from. I like the hot and sweet. Service is always good and quick. If you haven’t been and you love BBQ do yourself and give it a try. Comes with salad bar buffet. Also like there Brunswick stew.

You’ll see the signs on I-75. If you forget, it’s exit 22. Big place inside what very obviously used to be a Sonny’s. Friendly, quick service, good sauces, pretty good food. Fine for the price, speedy, clean, all that. But if you’re going to advertise that you’re in the Top 10BBQ Places in the country, you’d better knock my fat Q-eatin’ butt to the floor. And they didn’t. They quality was good, sure. But I HAVE eaten at some of the best Q places in the country, and the Pig isn’t one of them. Kid’s rib meal is a great value, though. If you’ve got little ones, get them that.

Generous servings of tasty BBQ and fixings. Great place to stop on a road trip. 30 minutes and you’re in and out. Fresh salad bar and dessert comes with most dinners. The fried mushrooms are fantastic and the orders is enough to share between a family of 4 easily. Solid brisket and chicken tenders, but we still can’t get over the fried mushrooms! We’ll be stopping in again next trip.

We enjoyed a great meal here… our favorite sauces were the«Sweet & Spicy» and the«Southern Mustard.» We ordered an appetizer of onion rings, and we did confirm that they were made with Vidalia onions. So delicious! And of course as tourists, we wanted Vidalia onions! I made the mistake of ordering a meal that included the salad bar, which I was not hungry enough for. You will be given so much food that I feel the salad bar is sort of a waste. Pulled pork was yummy, brisket delicious, service VERY friendly…(Lita made us feel very welcome and took great care of us). Overall a very good meal that definitely satisfied us! Could not get connected to their wifi.

Huge restaurant, about a mile off Int 75 in Valdosta midway between Atlanta and Tampa. A billboard proclaims«top 10 in the country» which may be a slight stretch but we found it certainly is a solid choice for barbeque. The salad bar is very well maintained and has an excellent assortment of salad fixing choices. I tried the beef brisket and pulled pork combo so I could try both types barbeque. Both were excellent. My son tried the St. Louis ribs pork ribs and proclaimed them first choice as well. My son and I are both certified barbeque contest judges and have both judged the International Memphis in May contest several times. We would certainly put the barbeque here in the«world class» category. Well worth the short trip from the interstate. A sweet finish is provided by warm cobbler and nice soft service ice cream.

Halfway between Tampa and Atlanta You’ll find this down-home BBQ joint. I’ve been eating BBQ all my life. Smok’n Pig’s meat is on point! The place is right off the highway And their parking lot is massive! Your best choice is to stop here. You’ll regret it if you pass it! The smell of the smoke draws you in So you know you’ll be in for a treat. There are many great options for everyone No matter how you prefer your meat. I went with the pulled pork platter For most places, that’s how I judge. So much food was put in front of me! When I finished, I could hardly budge! They have their own line of sauces My favorite was Carolina style. My parents brought me two bottles On their last visit, which made me smile! All BBQ platters come with free salad bar. It had a pasta salad that made me slobber. They also include free dessert bar With ice cream and homemade peach cobbler!
