We have been long time customers and Hungry Ninja will no longer get my business. One of the employees by the name of YESSINA is always rude and degrading to the customers. She took my order incorrectly and I asked her to fix it and she argued with me and told me that it’s my fault she messed up the order. I overheard her with another customer with the same issue and she told them that they can either take it the way it was made or leave! Not the way to do business in the SCV!!!

I have been going here for such a long time and now this new older lady cook was very rude and she declined to give me extra teriyaki sauce for my order. This is such a disappointment after years of loyalty to this place. I will stop going here unless the owner replaces this lady for good!

Illegal credit/debit card charges. Just because other businesses do it does not make it legal to charge a surplus for your business expense of owning a credit card machine. It is not the customers responsibilty to pay your bills. Fix it.

Unfortunately unhealthy, but this place beats teriyaki madness in deals every time. The food destroys Panda Express and lotus express. It has a huge white carton box with delicious teriyaki chicken, teriyaki shrimp and/or beef with a pineapple selection to the rice which I don’t recommend. The food is so filling in the small carton and the sauce is great. The owners are annoying and weird socially but the cooks are not they do a good job cooking the food and the food cooks really fast. It is near Valencia high school and is the best place for fast Chinese/Japanese food selections.

My high school son begged me to go here and I reluctantly agreed. Small place, big portions. Quick and friendly service. Ordered chicken and shrimp dish. Chicken dry and over cooked. Shrimp and rice cooked well. Minimal veggies given with meal. Overall meal just ok. We may give them one more try.

I ordered my food at 7:25 and finally got my food at 8:15. Had to wait about 45 minutes for my food even though the place wasn’t busy. The workers were talking amongst themselves and weren’t paying attention to the grill and cooking. I’ve eaten here a couple times and the quality of the food keeps getting worse the more times I come. I still ate the food but this place wouldn’t be my first option the next time I’m looking for

Hungry Ninja has got to be one of my favorite quick bites. The value for their food is incredible and they have very generous portions. I bought the regular teriyaki chicken for $ 6.15 and it was enough to feed me for both dinner and lunch the next day. There was no line when I went in, but they got the food out very quickly. Compared to other teriyaki places, this one takes the cake.

4 ½ rounds up. they were out of pork so had to knock down a star but lady at counter was fast and friendly and when I was told the chicken was gonna take 10 minutes she apologized and it was in fact closer to 2 – 3 so up a half point. food was fine and a lot for your money.

It’s my third time coming here and so far it’s been good. What I got: Regular chicken teriyaki with rice The good: I love how they give you a lot of food and sauce for just 7 bucks. Definitely can’t finished it all in one sitting and they definitely aren’t stingy on giving you at lot of sriracha either. I know a lot of people complain about their food being burnt, but I’ve never had that problem, maybe it’s more of what kinda meat you get? Haha who knows. The bad: I don’t really have any. In all, this place personally for me isn’t as good a sarku’s teriyaki chicken, but it’s pretty close and to get a lot of food so 7 bucks so it’s good too me! I definitely, recommend this place.

To start, this review is going to be incomplete. Mainly because they didn’t have about half the items on the menu. I tried ordering the beef and shrimp combo but they didn’t have beef. Then I tried to order the pork and they said they didn’t have pork either. Their only options were chicken and shrimp. Considering they didn’t have what I wanted on the menu and I was left to choose from what was left, I opted not to order anything. Is this a management issue? Not sure. I would have liked to prove a review but unfortunately I wasn’t able try the food. Maybe another time… or not.

The food is average. This use to be the spot when I was hungry and broke, the portions are huge and can typically fill two people. Typically not a place I recommend but would go to if I’m in the area and starving.,

Went to hungry ninja for the first time today in a few years. I won’t be back. Chicken was chewy and over cooked. Quality of food was just terrible. I ordered a lemonade and it was Literally warm, they failed to give put ice in cup… So gross.

So my boyfriend had told me about this place. He raved about it so much and finally had the chance to come. To be honest I didn’t like it. I ordered the chicken and shrimp and he ordered the beef and chicken. So the food is ready pretty fast. The steamed veggies is just soggy cabbage and the whole plate is drenched in a non flavorful, watered down sauce. The shrimp was tasteless. I had some of the beef in my boyfriends plate, which wasn’t great either. Over all I gave it a two for the price and how fast our food was ready. ***If you’re ever in Santa Ana try MOS2 which is way better than this place!!**

SERVINGGROSSSLOP… The low ratings are accurate however some people will eat anything! I’ve been here a few times against my will. All I can say is that they are the masters of serving slop to people that look like they can barely afford to eat there and have no taste. Sort of a «walking dead scene». Pour sauce on everything to mask the non flavor of the BURNT chicken, beef and dry rice… It could be the chef who looks like he just made parole… Never again, Hungry Ninja does a serious injustice to real fresh teriyaki chicken and steak meals. They make Panda Express taste like Benihana’s.

Is this place under NEW management? Today I ordered chicken and beef combo. Let me start from the rice, it’s hard and taste like left over rice. The beef and chicken is SUPER dry … the meat are completely dead!!! Even boneless skinless chicken thigh is crispy(not in a good way). I don’t thing I’ll come back … so sad, we used to like this place!

I kind of stumbled on this place and it pretty much a hole in the wall WaBa Grill type place. Your choice of meats with teriyaki sauce over white rice and veggies. Unfortunately they sacrifice quality or quantity. Yes, they give you a boatload of food, but it doesn’t taste all that great. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki and the meat was overcooked and chewy. I couldn’t even finish my plate. You’ll get a much better meal at WaBa.

Hungry Ninja holds a special place in my tummy as one of my favorite joints to eat at in high school. When I moved back into the area I couldn’t wait to relive some of those delicious food memories. I got my usual large chicken teriyaki order to go and was in heaven the minute I got home and devoured the entire large portion in one sitting, a feat that is rare for me. I love their chicken smothered in teriyaki with rice and veggies. I wish I had more veggies though, as I jealously watched my friend enjoy 4 whole broccoli compared to my one. No matter! I love the food, I love the name, I will be back for more!

I drive by this place all the time and wanted to check it out. Based on reviews I ordered the chicken and beef combo, and also a shrimp and beef plate. The food was good. Very generous portions. You get s bed of rice, then topped with veggies like carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. Finally they pile on the meat. I only ordered the regular and was stuffed on the one plate, but you could easily have some left over. Everything cooked to order so it’s hot and fresh. Ask for extra teriyaki at the end. And yes it’s in a strip mall so it’s a dive, sticky floors and all — but you can just take it to go or just go with the flow!
