Clean space. Very small bar, though. Bar tender with eye glasses is condescending yet inexperienced(has trouble maintaining pace when more than 3 customers at the bar) checks his phone rather than take drink orders. Good sound system. Safe area. Worth at least trying out.

Was with a group of friends who were harassed verbally by two drunk women at the bar — almost a confrontation — and bar staff were non-responsive. Beware of this bar.

Love the B lounge. Management and bartenders have always been nothing but nice to me*(a straight female!) It upsets me to hear female Unilocalers complain that they didnt feel welcome. Perhaps being a little more considerate for your fellow bar mates would have made for a better experience. 2 thumbs up and one extra thumb up for the amazing tree décor !!!

I: HEART: this place! Going to the B Lounge is always on the agenda. My friend and I have made it a weekly hang out spot, especially for karaōke night! Joanne the karaōke host, and Joe the bartender make it a really great place to be. Even my straight parents love going there(especially for the cocktails: no pun intended:) Althought Westchester has places that have gay nights, this is the one place that is all gay, all the time. Want a great place to hang out, meet some cool people(that ended up being really good friends of ours), then this is the place to be!

I guess the idea is that this place is supposed to be open and accepting… unless you’re a female! I came here with my girlfriends and we were treated like crap by almost all the staff. The bartenders would look right past us and ask guys behind us(who weren’t asking) if they needed a drink. They also made it a point to serve the men first when we had ordered before them. Drinks were $ 7 for shots and $ 8 for mixed drinks. The red headed slut shots we ordered as well as the vodka drinks were very weak and watered down. The place wasn’t crowded at all on a Friday night around 1AM, plenty of room to move around, but a man still managed to bump into my friend so hard he nearly knocked her over. When she said«excuse me?» this guy said to her«Do you have a problem? I own the place.» Great way to treat your paying customers. This place is NOT female friendly. Period. Girls, go elsewhere. I give it an extra star because the music was good so we danced all night and the drag queens were friendly and great performers.

Great neighborhood bar with good folks. Drinks are made well(and strong) by outgoing bartenders; in particular, Scott on Wednesday and Joe on Thursday. Wednesday is Gay Bingo and Thursday is Karaōke. Much nicer place than any other bar in the area.

As a part of our 25th anniversary celebration, my partner and I planned a «tea dance» party at B Lounge on a Sunday afternoon. It could not have been any better — friendly, helpful, professional staff(especially Mike) worked with us to make sure no detail was forgotten. The bartenders were courteous, friendly and very attentive. The food was great — wraps, shrimp cocktail, fresh fruit, antipasti and crudite. We drank, danced and laughed throughout the afternoon — it was the perfect ending to our weekend of celebrations, and the B Lounge was the perfect venue — beautifully decorated(as it usually is) with plenty of space to dance or to hang out and talk with friends. We are so glad that Westchester finally has a stylish and contemporary bar that caters to the LGBT community and their friends! Marty and Creig

This place is a great local bar. Bartenders pour good drinks and will chat with you. Also, this place has had food every single night I’ve been there(weeknights as well as weekends). Obviously, party mix on a bar-top is a nice gesture… but they also have hot dogs, home-made cupcakes and random other items depending on the night. Food is an after-thought at a bar, but it speaks to the way the owners/employees value their patrons. Also, the drinks skew to the strong side so having some food on hand to sop up the liquor is a nice touch. I started going around the time it opened(Summer 2011 I believe) and it has become a lot more crowded since then — in a very good way. Even on a packed night, it still has all the charm of a local bar. People will actually remember your name and key facts about you. Case in point: Joanne, the DJ who runs karaōke on Thursday nights, not only remembered my name but also the songs I sang from the previous week. She completely impressed me by offering to go through some songs that I could sing with her as a duet(since my singing is not exactly top notch…) for the next week. That level of care for a bar’s patrons is something I’ve never seen before.

Great place to B Been a few times now and like it every time, friendly, nice vibe whether just a few people at the bar early on a weeknight or crowded on a Friday. Contemporary look to the place yet still lounge-comfortable with a long couch-like seating along one wall, with moveable tables you can sort of arrange yourself – so you really can make yourself at home. Noise level varies by time of night, it’s conversation-friendly till the music volume goes up around 11(?). Wish there were more place like this! UPDATE: Over a year later, still love this place! They have a website now not just facebook to check for opening times and events

My good friend and I tried B Lounge on Saturday evening. We were both shocked and excited that there was a gay bar in Valhalla. Drinks were strong and reasonably priced. The ambiance was amazing. Overall, I loved it. The only downsides were that the crowd was a bit older(40+) than I would have liked and also the flat screen TVs had MTV on but the songs the bar played were different than the music videos on the screen, which was weird. Also, would have loved to dance — no one was dancing but it seems to have dancing potential. The bartender told me the crowd changes every night so I am looking forward to going back and seeing if there will be younger guys(and girls). It is truly an asset to Westchester’s gay community.

What a great addition for Westchester’s gay community! The place is intimate, beautifully decorated and the staff is friendly and engaging. I’ve been there several times on off hours, and though the word on this special spot has not gone viral — it will and soon. Well worth the drive or train ride — it’s a stone’s throw from the Valhalla station. Go with friends because the crowd is a bit sparse right now, but anticipate crowds on weekend evenings once the word is out!

Nice place inside… the early night bartender was not very friendly though and went on and on about how he would prefer the bar did not become a «DYKEBAR» and how he can’t stand the site of butchy chics. Considering 2 Lesbians own the bar… not sure how they would feel knowing he was saying these things to customers. The later bartender was much nicer, and the crowd was fun. Would like to see a mix of female & male bartenders so the Westchester lesbian crowd could feel welcome as well. And I felt $ 10 a shot was a little pricey for a Valhalla bar!
