Damn– I’ve been played! And All this heat on olive oil is real — people!
So all my life, all I’ve ever bought were conventional olive oils from «major» Italian brands. I’ve done EVERYTHING with olive oil: cooked with it, baked brownies with it even do my weekend hair masks. Yes. I. Have! And all this time, I thought I was doing something really great and healthy for my body.
The Olive oil empire, has recently been chock-​full of accusations. Aside from all the negativity about what’s real or not, and all the politics surrounding olive oil, it’s now in the open and it turns out all those «major Italian» brands of olive oil are fakes!
The Twisted Branch has been in Valhalla since April of 2015 (I believe). It’s adorable on the outside as it is inside. It’s a really cute shop. Interior layout is on the small scale yet, extremely defined with all their oil beauty. Twisted also has a small coffee station (for all you coffee drinkers) towards the back. In addition to their coffee, they also have a great variety of teas to select from.
I was completely blown away by all their olive oils and their other products such as their infused salts, balsamic vinegars and honeys. Rich broke it down for me and explained to me the different types of olive oils and sampled two of theirs. The taste is like no other. Nothing fake up in here.
It’s such a lovely and cool addition to Valhalla. Yes their oils are a just a smidgen expensive, but they’re not disastrous or break your pocket. All you have to know is that, you’re getting healthy, genuine taste and most importantly, quality.

The best oils and vinegars I’ve ever had. Try the zinfandale wine vinegar. Its the best!!! I live two hours away but I already placed two online orders with them. Orders came quickly and both were packaged beautifully. A++

I tried a familiar one: the rosemary infused oil. It didn’t disappoint me! Amazing taste and worth some fine bread (which I have been told is coming soon) Well I decided to find a vinegar to have fun with and chose the raspberry dark! TGIF because I am already home and pairing them nicely with some bread and cheese. Heaven can wait! My palate can’t! This will be the destination in Valhalla now…
