I’m rating this as a business-oriented Internet café: On paper, this Internet café tries to be a business destination where someone can buy time to use a computer and do Internet work and printing as well as offer other office-based services. All money used for computer time and printing are loaded onto a pre-paid phone card. One way they promote the store is by letting users run a «sweepstakes» app from their computers. In reality, the games that are part of this sweepstakes resemble online slot and bingo machines with credits being loaded on the cards for those who win these games. Balances loaded on the cards can be refunded by staff. It was about 7:30pm and I was looking for an Internet-enabled place, and found BizZone. Prices are $ 4.00/hr of computer time. One problem is how it strongly resembles a high tech casino more than anything else. The lighting is very dim, includes a walk-through metal detector and security guards; they also ban backpacks, weapons, and anybody under 18 years old. Once I entered, I was given a ticket that doubled as a raffle and computer reservation ticket. Everybody in the café were running the sweepstakes app and shown no sign of getting off their machines. When I came in, I was the only one who looked like they were there on business. After waiting about a half an hour to use a computer, I gave up my position and left. I was told by security that most business type use happens early in the day, and changes to sweepstakes during the evening. If you want a casino experience in Vallejo, BizZone is where it’s at. If you want a business-type place, Fedex Office would make more sense.
