So sad this place is closed. I remember when it opened 25 years ago. I loved shopping here because they had carts with two seats for my 2 and 3 year old toddlers which was the only way I could actually grocery shop. They also had the best produce section and the best selection of organic products. Working class families deserve access to healthy and affordable options too. I also loved the people. The workers were friendly and I always ran into someone from middle school when I went there. Sigh. I’ll miss this place…

STORECLOSED: Located off H29/Sonoma Blvd, cross street Meadows. Mom-in-law always came here for loaves of French bread – will go back to her second choice(my first) for French bread; Safeway. I think they should consider putting the Trader Joe’s here…

I like this place. Prices are reasonable and I am astounded by the variety. I got everything I needed(and then some) all in one spot. Great prices, good selection, clean, organized, knowledgable staff, friendly check out people, wide aisles and big huge parking lot. You will save money shopping here.

Such an amazing place to shop!!! The floor is so clean, they have such amazing staff, and the prices are really good! I usually shop around night time, and the employees are very helpful, and whenever I need something I dont feel like such a burden for asking… It was my first time shopping for WIC the other night, usually my wife does that sort of stuff, so im not really even sure what to get, and the checker Ellen, helped me get everything. She showed me where everything was at, and was so helpful, she told me about the WIC sticker and thats how I can tell if the products is WIC approved. I learn something new everyday. Thank you Ellen, and thank you Food for Less, it was such a great experience shopping here, and will be shopping here from now on.

When I came in today to re-stock on California-grown asparagus, I thought, «what’s that sound? Someone’s vacuuming?» Sure enough — a store employee was vacuuming THEPRODUCEFLOOR!!! See THAT in action at Raley’s or Safeway, I dare you. I love that it’s easy to see the origin of the produce, which is important to me personally. And their stock of hot sauces(mmmmm, The Pepper Plant’s Original California Style!) and Morton & Bassett spices/herbs is excellent. Need to try their steaks next — kind of important to me since I am not vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/un-whatever. And even better: Found Château La Paws wine — extremely difficult to find! Now if only they had Château La Paws Pinot Noir …

My favorite place to grocery shop!!! Great prices and helpful staff… the only bummer is bagging your own groceries but to save $$$$$ it’s well worth it to me!

I highly recommend a trip to Food 4 Less in Vallejo on Sonoma. We used to go all the way to Napa for our grocery shopping. Now we can get most of the items we need by shopping at Food 4 Less right here in Vallejo. They have changed their game plan significantly. They now have a bulk bin area where I get my gluten free flours, popcorn, ingredients for granola. They have an ever increasing organic produce area and an amazing health products(soaps, tinctures, shampoo etc.) Many of the items are non-gmo and organic. They also carry lots of vegetarian items and lots of oddball items you might have to travel a distance to find. It is like shopping at Whole Foods without the high price and fancy surroundings. They really are making an amazing effort and will listen to your comments and suggestions. Keep it Local and let’s reward a Vallejo business who cares.

Where else can you find non gmo selection? Exactly don’t promote poisoning our nation by Safeway, luckys or whoever else in bed with Monsanto.

Great selection and great prices. Its usually thee cheapest place to go grocery shopping in Vallejo and its been that for years. I’ve been going here say whole life. The staff is very friendly, the cashier actually engage conversations with you, and they actively try new things to make their grocery store different from there chains. They also actively compete against other grocery store’s ads to beat them on their prices. Better prices on alcohol as well. They also sell marinated meat which are great for meal ideas such as taco night. They used to be open 24 hours but now only open till midnight. I definitely get a lot of my cooking ingredients here. Food 4 Less will always be my go to grocery store!

I actually like this place way better than food max. The prices are way better and reasonable. Not as nice looking and the staff is not very fast or friendly. However the prices are lower. I guess it’s like they say you get what you pay for. I do have to drive across town to come here but a lot of times the deals are worth it. I’m defiantly all about saving a buck.

There’s a huge selection of items, but I feel like there are grocery stores that are a lot cheaper. I love that they have bins with dried fruit, nuts and grains though!

I had a terrible experience here with the so called Sunday evening manager named«Dwight» I was told to wait for him to cash the lotto ticket scratchers that I bought there, I waited over half an hour for him when finally he showed up and was very rude and refused to cash my tickets. I will never come back here and will be making a report with the corporate office. People should not refuce to do their job just because its tedious and they simply dont feel like doing it and give attitude on top of it.

I live in green valley and the only grocery stores conveniently close to me are Costco and Safeway. I can’t get all my groceries at Costco so always settled for the nearby Safeway. BUT I think they’re very pricey and often I was not happy with the quality of the produce. Anyway, one afternoon while in Vallejo I decided to stop by F4L on my way home via hwy 29, to pick up a couple items. I was totally blown away by this store. Huge produce department that was clean, neat, and the freshness of the veggies and fruits exceeded that of the Safeway in green valley. Plus this F4L had a lot of organic and specialty items I could find in Whole Foods and definitely would not find in Safeway. They held every Bob’s Mill product, had the largest Asian food section that I’ve ever seen in a grocery store, and each staff member was warm and friendly… they seemed happy to be there! So now I will drive 15 miles to do my grocery shopping at F4L. Folks who have a stigma against discount grocery retailers, give this Food 4 Less a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I shop there because i like the food, the people, and the music, but let me start with the food. They have very fresh and reasonably priced produce, including the largest organic selection I have seen in Vallejo, as well as organic milk, chicken, and many grains. The staff is very helpful, and clearly enthusiastic about their products. And the music makes it all pleasant. And it’s not all about big displays of unhealthy food. I call Food 4 Less the store for people who cook.

They are really transforming this store. Finally a organic or natural store I can grab all the things I need instead of traveling to another city to go to trader joes or whole foods. They have a lot of organic products and I’m loving it. Although they seem to be short staff in the evening there is always a line of at least 4 carts full of groceries and one cashier. The prices are pretty reasonable.

Have been coming for years. They usually have great prices, but it is a turn off when I see a mouse scurry across my feet as I pay.

Great prices, lots of organic produce and other organic products. I have replaced my Whole Foods run with Food 4 Less, because they have all the«hard to find» ingredients that I use. Yay!

Food 4 Less gets an A. We found many organic alternatives for what we were shopping for in every aisle. The produce section was absolutely grand and it was neat as a pin and fully stocked. They have a great selection and the produce area is HUGE. The clerks who were stocking and stacking greeted us and were pleasant and helpful when we had a question. The checkout clerk pleasant and courteous and even found a peeler coupon on my organic flour that I had missed. We did have to bag our own groceries, but honestly that isn’t a deal breaker because I kind of prefer to do it myself since I like to keep like things together. We will be shopping at Food 4 Less regularly.

I’ve lived in Vallejo for 13 years and have never checked out F4L. What was I thinking? This place is A-Freakin-Mazing. It’s owned by The Nugget Market and it shows. The good: 1. Big produce selection, including organic and at reasonable prices. 2. Enormous spice, Asian and Mexican selections. 3. Many items carried at Whole Foods you’ll also find here. 4. Great bakery department. They bake it there. Just brought out he freshly baked still warm bread while I was there. 5. Big aisles so, you’re not bumping into other shoppers. 6. Very clean and organized. The bad: No complaints
