Can’t wait for them to reopen! Great food, excellent service, friendly staff. Darrell & Johnny do an awesome job.

I don’t know why this place was closed. But today I ate lunch there. A lot of changes since they opened back up for business. We ate in but still had to order at the counter. The waitress never brought us our drinks, check on us or offered silverware. The menu has drastically changed from a variety of choices down to only a minimum with higher prices. No condiments on the table. We had to get them ourselves. That when I notice the hot sauce had very questionable waxy chunks floating on top of the bottle. The cook has been there for a long time and the only reason I came back. He is very friendly and attentive but sorry I will not come back.

Thank God it’s closed, finally. It lasted longer than it should have. Absolutely atrocious, terrible service with teenaged servers on the loose, yapping and socializing with no supervision and management care. It’s a shame b/c the food itself when it first opened and if it fell in the hands of a cook who cared, was pretty okay. But it quickly went downhill and continued to nose dive w/o pre-empt when the problem was fairly evident. This was definitely an example of ownership/management neglect who didn’t care about product and service, but only about $$$. It’s better that it’s closed. Hopefully, something better will come along to fill this space. Bye-bye Red Onion, you will not be missed.

The food is really good! But I just called 4 times and they didn’t answer, so we are stopping by Habit Burger instead. I was craving Red Onion, but we didn’t have time to wait for the food to cook. No answer means no business. Bummer.

Yesterday was the first time we’ve tried this place and yes, i’m a fan! Looking through all the food pics on Unilocal and seeing the menu online as well, we had an idea of what we wanted to order. BF decided on a bacon double burger, I ordered the spinach, mushroom, garlic burger and we split a basket of onion rings & fries. We were not disappointed! The burgers were delicious! The amount of onion rings/fries were too much for two people. we probably only ate ½ of it. We’ll definitely be back — there are so many more selections we can’t wait to try.

Stopped in for the first time with my oldest daughter for late breakfast… Sat at the counter, for quick service right??? They were out of home fries and would take 1 hour for them. So I order a BLT with seasoned fries. We got our fries quick in 5 minutes after ordering, but I saw them make a BLT and put it on the shelf for 20 minutes. The«cook» was backed up on omelette orders. It looks he can only make 1 or 2 at a time with skill level… The food does look good though. Not sure, hate to judge the place on one visit but it will be a while till I come back.

Their Cobb Salad is truly the worst Cobb Salad that I have ever had. Whoever made it, has obviously never had a Cobb salad before or just didn’t want to bother. Usually, a Cobb salad will have a variety of lettuce, including iceberg, watercress, endives and Romaine. The Red Onion salad only had one type of leaf. The tomatoes were sliced and to the side of the salad rather than integrated in it. The grilled chicken was in slices and laid across the top of the salad. The grilled chicken wasn’t bad but also didn’t seem integrated into the salad. I did not discern any boiled egg but it was kind of difficult to know because everything else was in clumps and lumps. I didn’t see any avocado either. Bacon and blue cheese were present. I don’t have a clue what the walnuts and cranberries were doing in a Cobb Salad? Left overs from Christmas? To be fair, the Cobb Salad was brought to me at home. Someone picked up take out. They said their Club Sandwich was ok. I had a bite. «Ok,» is about right. The order of garlic fries was too big. I was not impressed and only ate one but they were not for me anyway. I was told that the restaurant looked very nice but nobody was in there. I am told the desserts looked great. Apparently, the staff was very pleasant. We thought everything was overpriced.

Burgers are rediculously good! Friendly service. Asked to change the channel to the Warriors game and was almost instant! Took home some desserts out of the case too. Dinner for 2 under 40 bucks:)

Tables were clean and service was quick when dining in. The servers checked on us with the food delivery. If you like huge dripping cheese burgers, this will satisfy. We were starving and they brought us an order of onion rings out very quickly. Not a healthy habit to eat here regularly. I usually order the spinach mushroom burger to justify that I am eating some veggies, LOL. But… if you’re in the gigantic burger mindset, they have some 2⁄3 pound monsters that my, «guys,» like too.

Got a burger for 7 bucks, added the meal deal fries and drink for 3.50. Very satisfying meal for around 10. Not a bad deal for a good burger and considering i couldnt even finish the fries They asked if i wanted my burger cut in half… GENIUS! I WANTTOHAVEALLMYBURGERSLIKETHATFORTHERESTOFMYLIFE! Got some macaroons on the way out that did not disappoint Will come back for sure ! #CUTITINHALF

Tried this place for breakfast this morning. Let’s just say after waiting patiently for 30 minutes for our food we ended up just leaving. Not sure what the disconnect was with the waitress and the cooks, but seems like they weren’t on the same page. I only say that because 10 minutes prior to me walking out the waitress had asked if they could replace some of my sausage patties with bacon. So I was under the impression my food was being prepared as we spoke. That wasn’t the case though. Instead that food was for a different table. So we ended up going to Buttercup grill for breakfast. Sat down and had our food in less than 15 minutes. Red onion staff can learn a few things from this place.

My husband and I ate here last night, for the first time ~ service was very good ~ the food was excellent. We ordered ½ order ea of the onion rings & fries, needless to say there were way to many for us to eat ~ but they were excellent ~ the onion rings were perfect & not greasy at all. Our food came to us hot, not cold & like I said earlier we had good service ~ this is our new favorite place for a hamburger.

I ate here a few days ago with my family. The food was okay but far from impressive. We ordered 2 regular hamburgers and garlic fries. Overall, the hamburgers were good but not great. The meat is small and not fresh(probably frozen, but can’t confirm). The garlic fries were greasy and sweet. I noticed that the fries were not freshly cut. They’re Ore-Ida Crinkle cut fries that you can buy from Safeway(frozen section). The garlic topping was not freshly chopped and was sautéd in oil. The staff could be little rough around the edges(reasonable, given the location.) There was a tall guy in a red hoodie walking lazy and preparing food in slow motion. I have an image of him pouring chilly over fries with a hoodie on. He doesn’t even look like he works there and is definetly not dressed for work. But who cares. not like anyone important eats here to even notice. I definitely won’t be going back.

The only thing I recommend is burger and fries or onion rings I had to tell the tall Asian guy that works there to smile because everytime I go he looked bitter or upset finally got him to smile I must agree there prices are too high and you always have a long wait if you order on phone or if you go there it’s still a long wait. It seems like employees are family and always joking and talking about personal things before they put your food too cook The owner or main manager always has his wife and kids there, kids are so loud it’s very unprofessional my last meal was not to pleasant The youngest kid kept crying it was a annoying

Overpriced. I called in an order for buffalo wings, garlic fries, and a burger. I drove a cross town to pick up the food and we still had to wait 7 minutes additional to the 15 minute drive there. The guy in the front confirm my order and it cost up to $ 40. We got home to find no buffalo wings but plain wings. The garlic fries were soggy. The burger was just okay. We called and I ask to speak to the guy that took my order and told him we order buffalo. His reply was«oh I’m sorry we don’t make those» and did not offer to fix it. The wait is long. No customer service. Food is greasy. We won’t be going back. Save your money and appetite. This place is not worth it.
