They only get one star from me because they skimped me on my popcorn shrimp. All 3 orders.

I like Popeye’s chicken and biscuits, especially their spicy chicken though it’s still not that spicy but at least for fast food options it tends to be one of the few places to have spicy fried chicken. The biscuits are tasty but you can tell they’re not that good for you though.

Typical Popeyes chicken. Can’t really have any complaints about this place. Chicken is always consistent and made fast to order. Not the best chicken I ever had, but it’s quick, convenient and crispy.

Really clean restaurant. You can’t miss this location since its right in the corner in what seems to be a very quiet shopping plaza. A good place to grab a bite if your headed the other way towards Napa or American Canyon. Nice clean restaurant. Workers were really patient even when we had a good size order.

Tuesday special. I think they use inferior quality chicken. Notice the taste on Tuesdays versus any other day.

Nothing is more heart-warming than a few pieces of some fried chicken. Or maybe that’s heartburn. Could be. I always put a gangload of hot sauce on these suckers. Hmm… nah, it must be heart-warming. Yeah, that sounds about right. There’s nothing that needs to be said in the specularity of Popeye’s chicken. It’s some straight up good commercialized fried chicken. I personally prefer Popeye’s over KFC. KFC used to taste good… like, back when I was a kid. But when I eat it now, it’s a very minimal thrill. Popeye’s one-ups KFC in the flavor department, big time. Especially with it’s «spicy» variety(which isn’t really spicy at all, but more flavor than regular.) They have some pretty good sides too. Their mac n cheese, seasoned fries, and mac n cheese are pretty good. Biscuits here are nothing to talk about really. They’re a bit bigger than your usual biscuit, but it tastes just about the same as what’s out there. Oh yeah, their tuesday special, that can’t be beat. All in all, Popeye’s is a guilty little pleasure that anyone can enjoy. They’re all over the place, pretty much. It’s not mind-blowing eats, but when you need a quick fix for some pretty good fried chicken, it definitely gets the job done.

I like coming here because it is a convenient location accessing from Highway 29 and also returning from Novato CA. The chicken cooked here is spicy just the way I love it!

I stopped here the other day on my way to pick up a shipment and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the food came out. The staff was friendly and my chicken strips came out within 5 minutes. What was even better was I got an extra strip in my meal! I haven’t had Popeyes in over a year and after eating it again, I know why I like it so much. I’m already craving chicken again…

the cajun fries rule!!! food here is really good for fast food. The chicken is juicy, the line moves quickly, and it’s reasonably priced. My go to spot on a Friday night when i’m not in the mood to cook!

Do not order the corn! Fried chicken is tastier and way better than KFC, and the fries are tasty and so is the Cole slaw. But it is still not good to eat that stuff regularly. Heart, type 2, and fatness are not desired states. Jason’s fried chicken at home is way way better!!! I hoped I would have been impressed; well it was better than KFC.

I like their chicken! I’m a fan of both Popeye’s and KFC, though I personally like KFC’s gravy better. I love KFC’s chicken just as much, but what I like most about Popeye’s is the fact that their chicken stays crispy a lot longer than KFC’s chicken does. I also like their sugar can iced tea. I tasted some yesterday for the first time and I just like it. It’s cheap too! $ 1 for a huge size drink.

I live in North Lake Tahoe, where fast food choices are meager, which has its good and bad points. Nonetheless, whenever I’m down the hill, I always try to get my fill of the fast food joints that I know I won’t see for another six months. My first choice is Chick Fil A, but now that I have discovered the joys of Popeye’s, I Will Be Back! First of all, I’m heading to New Orleans next week so on a Chowhound site, I asked about the best fried chicken joint in town. Popeye’s came highly recommended, even though it’s a fast food chain(although I believe it originated in NoLa). So whaddya know, just around the corner from my motel is a Popeye’s. I grew up on Kentucky Fried Chicken and have tried Church’s Fried Chicken once or twice, but never Popeye’s. On my first bite into that lightly battered, super crispy flavorful chicken, a squirt of delicious chicken juice flooded my mouth and I believe I may have groaned in pleasure out loud. Embarrassing, I know. It literally may have been one of the best pieces of fried chicken I have ever had the pleasure of tasting(and I’m a fried chicken fanatic). It took all the willpower I had not to order 10 pieces to go to bring back home with me, but the thought of smelling fried chicken for three hours on my drive back to Tahoe didn’t really strike me as a smart thought. I regret that decision.

I only ever get the naked chicken strips and green beans. I had their regular chicken once and I wasn’t impressed. If you are hitting up Marine World… I mean Six Flags Something or Other, save your appetite and have dinner here. Or grab lunch on your way to the park… or both. Their strips are great. The beans are perfectly sauced and not overcooked. Service is always great and it’s nice way to relax and enjoy a nice meal before the drive home after a fun day in the theme park.

spicy chicken, catfish strips, cajun rice, cajun fries and a biscuit with strawberry jelly. Can’t go wrong there. I’ll go with Popeye’s chicken over kfc any day. This Popeye’s has been here for awhile too, i used to drive here from fairfield when i had cravings. they finally have one in fairfield. don’t forget the hot sauce.
