Today, the Sisig and Tocino Fries were delicious; and the service is very friendly– not too friendly, where it seems like they just want your money, but down-to-earth friendly. What more could you ask for?

Tried this truck for the first time today at the art walk. Ordered 2 things: longsilog and the sisig fries. Longsilog: longonisa was pretty good. The standard you could get at the counter from island pacific or seafood city. Came with 2 slices of cucumber but no vinegar to go with it): Sadly the rice was just plain rice and not garlic fried rice and the rice was slightly hard/undercooked. Rating: 3⁄5 Sisig fries: the sisig was nice and tender and nicely seasoned. I think they give a pretty good portion of meat to balance the meat to fries ratio. Fries were cooked well but could’ve been drained a bit longer. Sriracha mayo was good just wish there was a bit more! Add some fresh green onions and this dish would be golden. Rating: 3⁄5 Overall this place was okay. It’s nice to have a local food truck that offers some homestyle Filipino breakfast plates(because we love our breakfast) and other staples like lumpia and pancit. With some creative tweaks to their dishes and maybe offering garlic friend rice again, I think this truck has potential to do really well!

Great comfort food fix. I love the Sisig tacos and lumpia. I would really like the vinegar-garlic sauce for lumpia if possible. Right now the Jufran is served with it which is good, but I really love savory food. I see this truck at Art Walk and festivals, how about at Saturday Farmer’s Market?

It was a terrible choice … The food was not great. The rice isn’t even fried —(hence the term Si-log) it’s just plain rice that’s almost sticky — the type that’s about to go bad :( Never again.

So. Good. I always go for the tocino fries(pork) and it has an egg and yummy orange sauce. Nice to see another Filipino place open up! My only comment would be that their hours are usually only during lunch… I think they would get a lot more business if they were open for dinner. And they’re closed Sundays and Mondays. Also their location always changed. Sometimes downtown Vallejo and sometimes next to food for less; not a lot of food traffic over there. I know today they were near costco which is WAY better foot traffic and exposure. Food is good, only comment would be the tocino is sometimes too soft and not crispy enough. Other than that it’s all good!

Saw this place over at St. Pat’s some months ago for an event that I volunteered at; sadly they ran out of food before I could get any but it looked delicious! I was excited to see that they were at my youth group’s event in St. Cat’s a little while later and — being a potato enthusiast — ordered the Tocino fries. It was AMAZING! Probably the best fries I’ve ever had. And I’ve had plenty of fries so that does say something! Perfect ratio of fries and toppings, and the fries themselves were great. So good that I had to track them down another day to get more, lol. I only wish that they were open more often(like in the afternoon) and in locations other than downtown

Just saw them at the IHOP parking lot & of course had to try them! They serve Si-log! What can go wrong? They gave a pretty good food portion, but the taste leaves nothing to be desired. Ordered Bangsilog and sisig silog, and both were tasteless except for the sides that goes with it!!! I’m sure it’ll be great with a little seasoning! The girl working needs hair net or her hair needs to be tied back! I would t want to see hair in my food! Haven’t seen one but accidents do happen!

The Yolk is a food truck specializes in Filipino Cuisine. I consider The Yolk one of the hidden foodie gems of Vallejo, even the Bay Area! I’ve eaten here a couple times and each time was amazing!!! Their food surpasses your expectation especially after seeing pictures that your friends posted online. First, you think«that looks so good» and then you go over there and try the food, this is delicious! When you check it out, you should definitely try the Tocino fries over egg! The sauce makes you want more! Writing this review make me want to drive from Sacramento to Vallejo for their Tocilog! I ordered two sisig tacos one day and it was so good I had to order two more! These tacos weren’t your regular Taco Bell tacos, they were legit street tacos! The people that works there are friendly and helpful. Also what makes its great is that your food is made fresh to order and being prepared by the chef/owner himself! For a new business, I see a lot of opportunities for The Yolk. One of the key things are their operation times. People are usually working on the weekdays and don’t have time during the workweek. This gives more people the opportunity to check out the yolk. Also, their location, it’s always a journey trying to locate this food truck, however if you follow them on social media, it isn’t too bad. Once you find the truck, life is good! Overall, I highly recommend trying out The Yolk and even make it a trip with you and your friends to try the infamous all types of silogs. Check it out and support local businesses!

My husband came home raving about this food truck. Since they are rare in vallejo I thought they should at least get a Unilocal. He said the guy was super nice and the food was awesome. It’s Silong(garlic fried rice with meat and fried egg). Located in Food 4 less parking lot
