I’ve always had a good experience here. Staff is friendly, food is always delicious. The OMG is one of my favorites!

So far haven’t tried sashimi there, but sushi and tempura are great. To go service is best for me. sometimes they don’t answer the phone, but you can always go in and order and do some shopping at Safeway while you wait.

I personally love yo sushi and how it’s conveniently close by to where I live. A pretty good go to spot if you want your sushi fix. Customer service was okay but the food is always great. I love how their rolls aren’t tiny like at some sushi spots. It’s cool that you just order up front and you get a buzzer to alert you to get your food once the food is ready. I think it’s pretty dangerous that I have a sushi spot close by me. I may have to make several stops throughout the week lol

Poke roll, miso soup, and their house salad is very tasty. have to ask for sriracha. They have other yummy stuff as well — my husband eats like a pig and they have everthing+ he could want. There’s entertaining music pop videos playing that always catches our attention! Good place to grab a bite and relax for a few then go.

I’ve noticed that this place is not as busy as it used to be. now I know why… the sushi is not that great anymore. the only good thing they have going are the jalapeño poppers… that’s it. Not fresh… just your ordinary sushi bar in a shopping center. Fish doesn’t seem to be fresh. i live down the street which is convenient, but i will travel far for good sushi. Explore guys, they are out there.

This is one restaurant I would love to take my friends to eat with. Even when it’s busy it’s a great place to be.

Had a great experience with this yo sushi location. We ordered to go and they gave us the wrong items. When we noticed we immediately turned around and went to speak with them. I was expecting it to be a big deal but not only did the staff have the correct order ready, the recognized us, and we’re very apologetic. Even with the mistake it was still a great experience. As always the food was great and they went above and beyond with there customer service.

After new ownership I’m a huge fan! My family and I eat here often and are never disappointed Food is fresh and taste amazing. The pictures on the wall are a great help because I can never decided until I see a pic

Yo Sushi is about five minutes from my house. I’ve never had bad meal here and the prices are reasonable. You cannot beat the lunch special. It’s the best and can be broken into two meals. They only set back is their snowbubbles. I don’t know if it depends on who makes it but there have been hits and misses every time I order one. Sometimes it’s the icy, flavorful heaven you crave other times it’s a sad, watered down drink that reminds you of medicine.

Cheap sushi, but I must say, you really do get what you paid for. My wife ordered a Chirashi and the chunks of fish that was in the bowl look so unappetizing. The fish should be cut nice and thin, and they gave thick cuts like you ordered steaks of sushi. My wife ended up not eating them. I gave this place 2 stars, because the service is not so bad.

Good sushi for a reasonable price. Tips: get the scorpion, Travis, lion king, lion prince(spicy version of lion king), black hole, golden gate, poke roll and rainbow roll with the tempura shrimp are a few of my favorites. The udon noodle soups are also good. Feel free to try anything else on their menu, I’ve been coming here for years and anything new I’ve tried was still good! It’s not the absolute best best sushi you’ll ever have, but I will say that it is one of the best in vallejo. Service is quick, rolls are fairly cheap and it still satisfies your cravings. And for the amount of fish and rolls they give, you pretty much get a bang for your buck.

Still my favorite sushi place! It’s always busy so that should be a sign. Great sashimi and the best tempura ever!

My gf has been here a few times before and recommended it. We got the large party tray with the OMG roll substituted in. However, when we went to pick up the party tray, they forgot to put in the OMG roll but charged me for it already. Luckily we checked before we left. I was a little disappointed when they forgot to add in the OMG roll because there was a number of staff on hand that could of checked in advance. Overall, the food wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great either. I’d say it was above average. But everyone enjoyed the food so that’s all that mattered in the end.

Place was overpacked, nowhere to wait for to go orders. The food itself, veggie tempura, completely bland, could not even taste the veggies. Teriaki was overseasoned and overpowering.

I’m a huge fan of Yo Sushi! Since I moved to the area a few months ago, it’s been hard to find a decent, fairly priced sushi place($ 5-$ 10 per roll!). I’m so thankful that Yo Sushi filled that void in my life! Here’s how the place works: 1. Check out the menu(posted on the board up top, and on your left side as you walk in, with PLENTY of nice photos) 2. Order and grab a buzzer 3. Go up and grab your food when the buzzer goes off! Super easy, nice for large groups because you pay before you sit. Essentially this is FASTFOODSUSHI with seating and cute lights. They have some other items as well like Udon, bento boxes, spam musubi, teriyaki bowls, etc. I’ve only been for sushi and udon so I can’t comment on the rest. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and fresh! They are very generous with their cuts of fish as well. The udon is a bit lacking and isn’t really anything special, but when I’m not in the mood for sushi I’d probably order it again anyways. Between me and my 3 roommates, we probably go here once a week. Service is quick no matter how crowded the line gets, they somehow make it work. They’re super friendly as well and if one thing in your order takes more time, they’ll hand you a second buzzer and give you the rest to start. As far as food goes, my go-to rolls are the lemon salmon, oregon, and cherry blossom(can you guess what my favorite fish is? :P) I believe these range from $ 7 – 9! One or two rolls is more than filling! It’s not top notch«I THINK I’M INJAPAN» sushi, but it’s cheap sushi that I could pretty much eat everyday :)

Nice area, rolls are really good but can sometimes fall apart when you’re eating with your chopsticks. Pinto box is really good comes with Ginger, sliced orange, rice, California rolls

Uhhh this is the last time I get sushi where you order it McDonalds style, unless it’s in Japan. I really try to refrain from posting negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but this sushi was just downright insulting. The prices were not any less expensive than a traditional sushi restaurant. The tekka maki I ordered, the most basic of basic rolls, came out torn apart and the sushi rice was dry. If you’re going to price yourself as a traditional sushi place, I’m going to judge the food as such. I left feeling depressed. This is what I get for wanting sushi at 2:30PM and refusing to wait for other sushi places to open.

The yo nachos are really really tasty! Our group stayed out in the patio super late after they closed, and they brought us bottles water as they left for the night. What sweethearts!

When it’s «dinner date night» with the family and they want Sushi. I have to think on my feet, because it can be pricey. My first«proposed» option is Yo Sushi and their party platter. The family is usually all for it. At $ 75 a tray, you can’t beat it. It contains a variety of options for any Sushi lover. This easily feeds 4 hungry people. It takes about 20 – 30 minutes to make, so make sure you give yourself some time. This location in particular use to be our go to place when I worked in Vallejo. It’s easy when going with a group, because you can individual pay at the counter and there is plenty of seating. I normally order the veggie roll, avocado roll and/or cucumber roll. You can’t really go wrong with any of them, because there is not a lot of work put into it. I don’t recommend the Udon bowl, although they say there is no «fish sauce», I don’t believe it, because when I ordered it the first time. It tasted like there was. So not attempting to take a second chance on it. The tempura is not v3gan as it contains and egg batter. As for non-v3gan eaters. I would actually recommend this place for affordable Japanese eating. I wouldn’t say the sushi is the freshest and you can’t categorize this place under most Japanese restaurants. Think of it as Japanese fast food. When I use to eat meat, I like the place. Then again, I’m a cheap date. My family enjoys it and devours everything they order.

In sushi, there’s not that many great and/or impressive sushi spots to dine at. Well, not for me anyhoo. BUT, I will say this: Yo Sushi is probably the best spot in Vallejo to get grab some sushi. My main beef with sushi in Vallejo is the SUSHILACKSBEEF… Hahaha, little… little food joke there… But seriously, most sushi in Vallejo just… isn’t that great, in my opinion. So much so that I’ve not written any reviews on other establishments. But Yo, I love Yo. Not YOU, reading this, I love YO. Typically, sushi is a «sit down and order» type of dealio. I have no problem with that traditional setting at all. But I love this unique part about Yo: You order at a counter, sorta fast food style. I am a fan of this as groups of people can all pay individually without having to worry about splitting checks and whatnot. When you walk in, you realize that you’ve enetered, quite possibly, the most Asiatic joint in Vallejo. K-pop videos playing and some of the décor you’d expect from a sushi spot. Also, you’ll immediately notice that the expansive sushi menu selection, all with photos of what you’re about to get into, price and all. I LOVE that, something I wish more restaurants would have. Once you get to the counter, your order is taken by friendly cashier. OFTENTIMES a cute girl. This is probably not a plus for anyone else, BUTIT’S A PLUSFORME, DARNIT. Upon completing your order, you’re given one of those table buzzer things. Ah, the wonders of modern technology. They must have chefs back there working like mad men, as I usually get my food pretty quickly. And when it comes it, it doesn’t taste rushed at all. All rolls(albeit, not your traditional Japanese fare, but whatever, I LOVE gimmick sushi!) come out, all nicely crafted. The seafood has always come out tasting fresh. And ah man, Lion Kings… hook those things to my veins! I also enjoy the rainbow rolls(I usually get em with sriracha) and the sashimi. So all in all, I am a fan of this place for sure. Not for the hip Asian atmosphere really(although the kiddos seem to enjoy that.) But I like the way they do sushi here. It’s not traditional in any sense of the word, but they just get it right. Consistently. With any establishment, that’s how it’s gotta be done. I love you, yo!
