Wines & Liquors

As much as I like Mr. Delhiwala the chap working here, be careful with his suggestions, they are sometimes misleading. He’s a real sweetheart though and don’t get me wrong, he knows his stuff but sometimes (once or twice) he misses.
I like when wine companies are there for wine tastings. Those times I spend a really long time drinking, well tasting. Those days I always leave so happy, must be the vibe.
It’s a typical, regular sized wine/​liquor store. I can appreciate the good deals here. They seem to carry a wide assortment of novelty drinks, alcopop and the likes.
Wines? YES! Other liquors? I’m not too sure as I’ve only ever shopped here for wines and didn’t even have the courtesy of checking for other drinks to report to my Unilocal-​mates : — (
The one thing I can say I don’t like about this store, is they carry the lottery gaming system. Each time I come here other folks are all happy and smiling purchasing tickets which makes me think «maybe, just maybe I should give this lottery a try. $ 1 to become a millionaire, so easy» and I look at the beautiful machines and scratch cards as they beckon me over… so romantically… I comply… BUT gotdarn!!! I’m already borderline al*hiccup* so please don’t satisfy my addictive personality with another one!

Putting «wines» up front as the first word is a lie. Sure, they have some wines, but this is not their main source of income. This is a liquor store that happens to sell some wine also.
The selection is kind of sad — which I guess is the type of mood you need to be in to shop here.
I was really turned off by the guy who felt the need to kind of creep up behind me and watch/​stalk as I looked around, and then only after I turned and asked if he needed something did he ask if I needed help finding something. Holy crap, was he mad that I didn’t grab a bottle of Thunderbird and cash out? What was he afraid I was going to steal his stock of dusty Romanoff bottles?
Screw this place, there’s a ton of better places out there that won’t make you feel cheap and dirty (in a bad way) just for walking in and daring to look around.
