Salon Amara

I am extremely picky about my hair, and I am extremely satisfied with Salon Amara. In the past, I have only high end salons, including the Lincoln Park area in Chicago. I was happy with them all, but I needed to find a shop in Indiana that would meet my «picky needs.»
I am really bitchy if I don’t get a good haircut.
I’m happy to say I found it, and I get a GREAT cut, color and style. I use Laura G – my absolute favorite. Her color skills are excellent, and she gets cuts right. She is the only stylist who, when she cuts my hair, it almost falls into place on its own when I wake up in the morning. She also knows exactly what to do to flatter my facial lines — she recommends the best cut for me.
Laura is also extremely cordial and caring. You’ll like her immediately. And just wait until you get shampoo/​scalp massage from her. Oh my gosh, she is the best!

I found Salon Amara four years ago after a terrible haircut. I went in to have my awful hairstyle fixed and have been seeing Mallorie ever since. The prices are high, but you absolutely get what you pay for with quality service and great products.

Mallorie does the most amazing job turning my mess of curls into something manageable and beautiful. She’s done keratin, color, up-​dos and cuts for me and I’ve always been happy.

Had the worst service there and will never go back! I got a manicure there and it chipped as soon as I got home. I was going to a wedding and they didn’t not want to give me my money back. They are really pricey and the staff is awful and rude

Horrible! Splurged on gel nails for vacation and they fell off within 2 days. They looked terrible too. My girlfriend got shellac on her nails and they also looked terrible. She asked them to fix them and they tried but they still looked bad. Prices were insanely high and staff wasn’t very friendly. My friend did say the eyebrow wax she got down was amazing.
