Pita’s Republic

I was the only person in this restaurant at 11:00 in the morning. I had the Chicken Caesar Pita and a Mango Surprise Smoothie. While the each of the foods were served at the correct temperature I wasn’t impressed with either. I felt the chicken lacked flavor and was overly salty. The smoothie really wasn’t that good either.
A couple of other turn-​offs were the outside tables still had trash on them. The tables inside looked like they had been wiped down but were still dirty. The only restroom had no paper towels. Once again, this is at 11 in the morning. Obviously they weren’t really ready to open up.
I was given my food without any utensils or napkins. I also couldn’t find any. I have definitely experienced better.

Love this place! The food is excellent and so very fresh… the best eatery in Brandon that has a decent vegetarian selection. I think actually they make the best falafel and hummus that I have EVER tasted! The owners are very sweet and they take alot of pride in the quality of the food they serve. For a vegetarian… there are not many places around Brandon, FL that have more than 2 or 3 items to choose from but that’s not the case at this place. they have several vegetarian wraps, Pita’s and platters to choose from. in addition to a nice selection of meat wraps, Pita’s and sandwiches. We look forward to going back! So glad my husband and I decided to go to this place. Definitely 5 Stars!

Won’t go back. Got a gyro it was very very dry. The pita was stale. Took two bites threw it away Very disappointed

Food is good, but painfully slow to get. It’s dirty… dead fly on the window sill, napkins on the floor…

Looks like there are new owners for this location. The food has always been delicious! I usually get the California Dream or Tex Mex wrap. Can’t go wrong with either option!

The owner/​manager is really friendly and knew the customers who were there while I was. The food is great. I got a chicken pita and potato salad. Good prices and you get lots of food. Great for lunch or dinner. Everything I have tried from here was super good.

I have been a customer of Pita’s since about 1995. Brandon used to have a second-​run movie theater located in the same plaza as K-​Mart on W. Brandon Blvd, and just outside the theater was a franchised Pita’s that was very good. My favorite one is this one– E. Bloomingdale Ave. in Valrico. Owner Hamdi is always in good cheer, extremely friendly, and he loves a good social or political debate when the store isn’t too busy!
Service and quality are consistently high, however keep in mind that each sandwich and salad are made to order so when it’s busy, it does take a bit of time to prepare your food. Pita’s offers a middle-​eastern influenced menu that is unavailable elsewhere in Tampa Bay. I recommended the combination salads and sandwiches, falafel, their home-​made potato salad which is extremely good, and the savory hummus. Their roast chicken recipe is very unique and flavorful, while the Spinach pie in my experience has been so-​so.
My only only other quibble would be that the house vinaigrette salad dressing is too sharp/​acidic tasting, in my opinion, but there are many other dressing choices. The Pita’s location on Causeway (a few stores down from Publix) is likewise excellent. You can’t go wrong with either location.

I absolutely love this place! Everything is freshly made and delicious! The management is great as well! Get Feta on your Gyro you won’t regret it! I’m heading there now!

This was my first experience with this chain and it was very good overall. I ordered the Gyro pita, one with Tzatziki sauce and the other with the Hummus and both were very good, lots of fresh flavors. My only gripe would be the pricing for the size you get, If you compare a similar item to something from Chipotle at the same price range, you get a bigger product.
I’m looking forward to going back and trying their salads which look yummy.

I’ve been going to Pita’s Republic locations around Tampa for the past 3 years. I’ve consistently had good food at all of them! The portions are enormous and the food always fresh. I’ve never had a bad experience. The location on Bloomingdale is close, it’s always clean, and the staff always friendly! My top picks are the Acropolis and the lamb gyro! The spanikopita and bakalava are great sides and dessert!

Great wraps, gyros and smoothies. This is my go-​to place when I’m working in the area. Meals are healthy, filling and oh, so tasty. I was overwhelmed with the menu options when I walked in the first time; this is probably a normal occurance. Everything from fish tacos to the classic gyro. Great smoothies to top everything off. I started with the chicken & avacado. After a few times of that, I’ve gotten hooked on a wrap with chicken, lettuce, avacado & their chipotle sauce (yum!). Definitely a favorite.

I walked in mid-​afternoon and they weren’t too busy. I was greeted right away by two friendly staff members who had a fun sense of humor. A few people were sitting at the tables inside, there were also some outside seating but it being so hot today I wanted to grab the food and head home. Their menu is large, affordable and has many «healthier» alternatives to their regular food. I ended up getting the chicken/​feta pita fold and it was DELICIOUS. I opted out of the cucumber sauce, but I’m sure it would be just as tasty. The pita fold and a (very tasty) strawberry-​banana smoothie came to about $ 10. I will definitely be coming back again!

I ate at the Pita’s Republic in Ybor City and I absolutely loved it. I got the Meditteranean Chop salad with chicken. I can’t say enough how great tasting their chicken is. I really never judge chicken. Chicken is chicken, but there’s some seasoning on theirs that made it really stand out to me.
The portions are huge. The prices are reasonable. Staff was friendly.
I seriously love this place and wish they were country-​wide. So delicious. I’m going there now.

Nice little place to go grab a Gyro on the go. Also they make all kinds of other things to wrap a Pita around or stuff into. Nice if you are on the go and just want to grab a quick bite other than the usual fast food. Place is usually pretty quick, courteous and clean.
