This is not a place to eat. roaches on the counter and when i told the manager about it he said that they spray every other week, which is no even true. the waitress was asking for change and the guy told her«i am hungry why didn’t you call me before.» and kept in his own thing and the had it to go to the liquor next door and we still waiting standing there. the odor once we entered the place was so bad. we would never be back to this place.

Came here awhile back. Ordered 2 pupusas and 3 glasses of wine. The pupusas were just avarage and the price a complete rip off. Did not get a itemized tab and a total price of 30 dollars. The place looks trashy and the service is just mediocre. Go somewhere else. Trashy El Salvadorian place.

I would give it zero stars if I could. We went for late breakfast and the waitress was named Raquel. Worst attitude ever. She took our order wrong and when we told her the order was wrong she got mad! She took the plates back to the kitchen and came back to tell us… well to «correct us» on how to order next time. She argued with us and kept telling us to do the order better next time. Another patron called to placed an order and when she hung up the phone, she said that she didn’t have time to talk to people on the phone that wte dumb. Raquel should be working there as a waitress.

The most salvadorian restaurant in the valley ! Authentic, fucking bomb ass pupusas, their horchata is on point too, they literally make it better than in Mexican restaurants ! I came here with my daughter and I wolfed down four pupusas and I feel no shame. I don’t really like the music being so loud but that’s fine because it is a dance club at night. Seriously all the complaints about it «not being a family place«during the day need to LEARNHOWTOREADTHESIGNOUTSIDE ! Don’t expect a karaōke club/restaurant to be like a library during the day ! Especially knowing it’s a salvi restaurant, expect to see sexy Latinas and have music blasted ! That’s just how we salvis do it. Seriously though, everything was delicious, I’m totally coming back!

I have passed this restaurant for many years and finally decided to give it a try. I went there around one o’clock on Monday. The parking was less than stellar. It is a very small parking lot in the back. Upon arriving at the location, I noticed that there was a man who got out of his truck, he kept staring at me as I prepped to get out of my car. He was a few steps ahead of me and by the time I got out of my car and was walking towards the back entrance he was going in. He turned around looked at me and closed in the door. It was a bit strange but I dismissed it. By the time I got to the counter to order, the same man was standing off to the side. The person taking the order was assisting someone else. She managed to assist the other person, grab the food that was waiting to go to a table, pass in front of me and not say one word. There was no «hello», «I will be with you in one moment», nothing, there was absolutely no acknowledgement. She passed me again, grabbed another plate and still not a word. Once she got back behind the counter another patron came up, she helped her as I stood there waiting for an acknowledgement. As for the same man from earlier, turns out he was not a patron, as he went behind the counter to the refrigerator and grabbed a canned beverage. As he he stood cleaning the top of the can with his shirt and giving me a, «Why are you here?» look, it was clear that I made a colossal mistake by walking into this restaurant. Their blatant disregard for service will ensure that I never step foot in that restaurant again. Complete disappointment.

I came here with my son and boyfriend for dinner, the food was OK not bad however it doesn’t compare to my spot in LA!(Yes I drive to LA just for pupusas lol) My stars are more so for the customer service rather than the food. The waitresses look like they are selling bottle service at a club, this would be fine at night Cuz it does say live music etc but not at 430 where my son has to see your ass hanging out. Talk about tacky and they didn’t even bother to come back and check if we needed anything. I won’t be coming back here, if you are looking for amazing pupusas and authentic salvi food hit Los molcajetes on hoover!

Not a good place to take ur family… If you are into beer and Latin music this is your place. Food is not so great. Waitresses are friendly… Rude security personnel… I think they are the biggest threat to patrons in this place…

I highly recommend CALIVIEJO as your breakfast lunch or dinner spot. The prices are reasonable the food is on point. They have great service and so friendly. I come here often to have breakfast and sometimes thursday night for karaōke night. I always have a good time. I try the salvadoran breakfast or the huevos rancheros usually. 5 stars!

My girlfriend is addicted to the chicken fajitas«they must put crack in this» she said. They’re so good that I don’t mind getting padded down by the security as I walk in, everytime I walk in that place. I was there last Friday night, and it was liveee, music, food and alcohol flowing with laughter and people dancing(or attempting to) … Overall experience is pretty celestial !! because of the happening atmosphere at this joint my girlfriend and I call it «The Club»

We walked in because the sign said live music playing inside. We walk in and the seating was separated by a small wall. The left side has a stage with musicians playing Bachata music and several patrons enjoying their food. I sat on the right an ordered a glass of water with the Carne Asada plate. I ordered a small pupusa with cheese for my little one. Well when the carne asada came out it was served with a side of salad, white rice and beans. As soon as I saw the carne asada I could tell by the way it was cooked that it was authentic. I smiled as I slid in a piece of meat into my mouth savoring every texture. The rice was very tasty plus the Chile Relleno my friend ordered was also just as good. I would come here a lot more often if the atmosphere was a little more comfortable. The beer is also kind of expensive and they even charge for water. I mean I could understand if they were trying to make $ 20 profit on each 12 pack but $ 35 that’s ridiculous. If they lowered their beer prices I think people would drink more resulting in them making the same profit.

I had driven by this joint tons and tons of times, but had never once tried it. until last night. After a full day of craving pupusas I decided to stop by and boy oh boy am I glad I did. Sat down and one of the waitresses came over and asked if I was ready to order, I was, and placed my order of yucca frita and fried pork and a pupusa. Oh and can I say that Salvi chicks are hot as fuck. They kept coming around asking if everything was ok, one hottie in particular kept coming around every 5 – 10 minutes asking if she could do anything for me. Let me tell you, I thought of a few things she could do for me and not one involved food or the restaurant for that matter. Anyway back to the food. The yucca(potato-like root) was fried just right, not greasy at all and tastier than fuck, the pork was tender and juicy, and the pupusa was hot and moist(i’m still talking pupusa here you fucking pervs) with all that cheesy goodness, washed all that shit down with a couple of ice cold Modelo’s and chilled for a bit. Hottie came by and asked if I liked the food and if i’d be coming back. i said, but of course honey bunny this place is great. She said cool and actually slipped me her number that she’d written down on a napkin. Oh and apparently this place has a live band on weekends(which I didn’t see) and karaōke during the week. The only bad thing about this joint is the parking, it fucking sucks.
