A Cut Above

Jeanie did my nails, and they came out perfect! She took the time to make sure I was completely satisfied with them, and fixed a cracked nail for me. She was nice enough to let me try a color on one nail before I made a decision.

Although the owner was very sweet, she does not know how to cut men’s hair. First off, this was my first visit, and she told me $ 15 was going to buy me a haircut and a shampoo afterwards to get all the loose hair out… she then proceeded to cut my hair, which when she was finished I looked at it and had her go back over it because there were a lot of missed spots… she then took me over to the sink to shampoo (by this time there was another female customer waiting) where she proceeded to slap my head with a towel in an attempt to get loose hair out… and ran water over my head for about 4 seconds… and then decided to skip the whole shampooing step all together… we then got back to the cutting station where we again examined to make sure the haircut was complete, and of course… it wasn’t…there were still many stragglers I had her try and touch up… by this time I was embarrassed and annoyed because I felt like a needy customer but in reality, she was in a hurry to get to the next customer being the only one working, but I just wanted a decent haircut! Keep in mind I get a «high and tight fade» so my hair isn’t long at all… so after I paid the lady $ 15 for the cut and $ 5 for a tip (regretfully)…I left… and while sitting in my car, looking in the mirror, I saw MORE uneven spots! I went back in and had her touch it up for a 3^rd time (keep in mind, she would have let me walk out the door after the original haircut prior to ANY touch ups)!!! So she went over it AGAIN with the clippers, I thanked her again, and I left… only to realize when I got home that she had «slipped» with the trimmer around my right ear, leaving a quarter sized bald spot!!! Also, the neck line she supposedly straightened is totally uneven… like a quarter of an inch higher on one side then the other!!! I’ve never left a review on Unilocal before, but seeing as Unilocal is how I found this «stylist»…I felt morally obligated to share my experience with the public before anyone else has a tragic experience such as myself… I’m sure she styles women’s hair amazingly… but men, Stay away from this one…
