The food is mediocre at best. We went there for the birthday just because my mom loves Greek food. Have reservation in advance. Half of the menu was not available. We ask for Martini, the waitress say she is not sure if they have Gin and never bother to come back. I ordered King shrimps, which was big disappointment. Few very small cheap shrimps in bland tomato sauce, 3 peaces burnt taste potato and spoon well over cook noodles for the side, that looks mushed. I wonder what kind chef can’t cook simple noodles? My husband had chicken kebab and it was disappointing as well. 5 nickel sized chicken pieces, so dry, that was obviously overcooked, same potato/noodles on the side. Needless to say that Saganaki was over burn and it was almost impossible to cut. Calamari was good but came with spoon drop dressing. Really? My sister and her husband ordered lamb, pretty pricey, but meat was good and it came with same terrible siding. We ordered bottle wine, which waitress didn’t bother to open, at this point I wasn’t surprised. When this bottle get empty, they offer to try Greek wine. They pour little drop in my mom’s glass, like teaspoon at most. We order that wine too. How surprised we was, when they charged us for the bottle and a glass too. It was wrong. Should I say that nobody refill our water? Ended dinner with $ 228 bill, frustrated and hungry. On the way home stopped at Safeway to get bread and salami for sandwiches. I would never return and will give Zero stars.

No. Just no. The homey setting is not lost here but the opportunity for any kind of comfort is. A building built In 1884 just cannot serve its inhabitants nor its community well. Drafty, small rooms and hard narrow chairs do nothing to make one want to stay. Add the over poweringly LOUD recorded music that accompanies amateur belly dancers and it’s enough to actually drive one away from the place altogether.(Btw: the guy noodling along with the recorded music actually provided pretty entertaining ambiance. Belly dancers are not Greek, they added little and were accompanied by nerve-shatteringly loud noise. F A I L) IF you order food do so very carefully. Portions are small(thankfully– less to try to eat), uninspired and salty. Rice was cooked to near mush and served with potatoes that were also woefully overcooked. This double starch combo accompanied several of the plates we ordered. Three tired little spears of asparagus hid beneath a cold gyros but I didn’t eat them. I just felt sorry for them. «Fresh Washougal lamb» needed much more time on the roasting rack or much less time in the field. Chops offering arrived so tough the weak flatware had no chance of cutting it. Our party watched in horror as the«Greek Fisherman» who is front-of-house, literally commandeered a diner’s knife and fork and started hacking up her lamb chop. She had mentioned it was tough and unyielding. Instead of spiriting it away, Greek Fisherman set into it to show her how to cut it(N)opa! Appies were weak in flavor and presentation. Saganaki was the toughest most durable dairy product we’ve ever encountered. So bad it was not worth mentioning — even when wait staff saw more than two-thirds of the portion remained on the plate when cleared. I am a plate cleaner. I arrived hungry at Touch of Athens and left in the same state. A modest dinner for four clocked in at $ 125 with only one round of ouzo. No other booze. No dessert. Waaaaay too expensive for Vancouver and waaaaaay, waaaaaay outta line with what we were served. Go anywhere but here to try your luck in Vancouver. Leave this relic untouched.

No complaints! Live music. Fireplace for mood. Lots of feta on the salad and the lamb fell off the bone. Nice!

This is a great combination in a restaurant: good food, great location and great staff. Price was a little steep — not for your average business dinner. Great lamb.

Supposed to be open weekdays for lunch 11:30 to 2pm so met a girlfriend there yesterday. Closed with no sign on the door indicating emergency, etc. So we give up as this was supposed to be the«second chance» visit after friend hosted a large group there several weeks ago for dinner — where they were understaffed in the kitchen and so meals took over 70 minutes to come out. She said everyone loved the food but adequate staffing and reliability are also needed.

Food was fantastic, the environment was pleasant with appropriately themed music, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The pita bread was delicious, with olive oil and balsamic available at the table. We chose to eat indoors, but there was also an outdoor area for eating. A great place to eat a meal with a few friends.

Really do not know where the 1 stars come from. We are from Puyallup and decided to to take a leap Of faith, so glad we did. It was like we were eating in George’s house. He made us feel SO welcome, introducing his kids and Grand kids, then bringing out the Ouzo! The music was great and so was the food!

Tried too go twice now! First time signs say there open but not. Second time plenty of room but owner says there full. This Greek must think his food is all that because he doesn’t want new business from loyal foodies. Guess he’s just like his country doesn’t run a good business and probably doesn’t pay his debt also. Shmuck!

The first time I went to this restaurant, I was not educated on the true delight of Greek cuisine. However, I had an amazing experience with good service, food, laughs, belly dancing and traditional plate breaking. Everyone was having a good time for my dad’s birthday. Now years later it’s the night before my Grandma’s wedding and it’s a disaster. George seats half our party in a timely manner but doesn’t provide water. As the second half arrives and is seated at a table I move to, there is little to no service. A totally separate family that comes in after our party gets better service, water and pita bread before George truly tends to us. If that wasn’t enough, his supposed female server was arguing with him in front of us and had the most smug, «I don’t want to be here» look on her face. As if having barely any lighting gave a terrible ambiance, so did her attitude. We had to ask multiple times for water, wait for any response on drink refills and pita bread. Although our food came out in a timely manner, George barely seemed able to hold my dinner plate– having leaned across the table to hand me the hott end of my plate, burning my hand. Considering he could barely hold the plate without shaking, I thought fast to grab it with no forewarning he was handing me the end with the most depressing serving of Moussaka… for $ 14 dollars… While I was fairly upset with that, I let my hand cool off and waited for bellydancing… this time around it seemed as though they pulled some experimental dancer from a rave and asked her to «shake it»… I came for bellydancing and left so disappointed. Everything they seek to offer has been crushed and I am very sad to see that they lack the charm I once knew they had.

Okay, seriously, my wife & I had a date night at Touch of Athens for the first time and felt at home. Watching George, the owner, sitting down in the lawn, Alex taking our order, the wonderful Greek food and listening to the Greek music to make our time here simply wonderful. We had the flaming cheese appetizer, lamb chops and a very good Greek salad. Don’t be in a hurry, enjoy the family, music and food, sit back and enjoy!

WOW! Totally blown away by this place! I’ve passed it before and thought it looked charming, but I finally went in and the food was RIDICULOUSLYGOOD! It was as good as any Greek food I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to Greece! Everything was amazing. The owner recommend the rack of lamb and we’re so glad we took his recommendation. We had the calamari and the tzatziki and a Greek wine, and then Ouzo for dessert. Listen to the owner’s recommendations and get whatever he says! You will thank me! SOGOOD! I could eat there for dinner every night!

Took my sons here last night for dinner. At 9&14, they are fantastic dinner companions:) And showing them a part of their heritage was great! George is always so gracious and we feel like family. Our dinner was wonderful, as usual. Hummus, dolmathes, gyros and spanakopita, pastitsio, and lamb chops. All the entrees come with soup(delicious lentil) or salad, potatoes, and orzo. The portions are generous, and the prices more than fair. When the music started, my sons got their first taste of traditional Greek dancing. And I got to dance with my handsome boys. Such an all around amazing evening!

I can not say enough good things about this place! My boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day and it was spectacular. The food, the ambiance, the staff and the SHOW! A sweet Greek man with a heavy accent met us at the door and sat us. He was welcoming and warm and I felt like he was inviting me to dinner at his home. Our waiter(who’s name escapes me) was attentive and friendly. He made sure to wait until we were done with each course rather than stacking dishes on our table like some places. The food was delicious and everything had so much flavor! Then comes the show! We were the last reservation on a Saturday night and the lady at the table next to us said we were lucky– this is the best time to come for the best show! There was plate breaking, singing, dancing, laughing! The host even started singing with the musician and at one point before we left, he got on the table next to us to serenade everyone and dance! Just when it couldn’t get any better, the host met my boyfriend and I at the door and gave us giant hugs, thanking us for coming. Who does that? Good people do that! People aren’t kind like that anymore and this place reminded me of the good old days! I think my review speaks for itself, but we will definitely be back and will definitely bring friends!!!

Food was pretty good but the atmosphere was what really set this place apart. The old house makes it feel like you’re eating in a distant relatives dining room. There was a very talented musician playing and he made the whole experience feel like you were eating with the owners at their home.

We visited Touch of Athens last night. It’s like stepping back in time. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. The food was delicious and the service was sweet and kind. It’s a family business and you can tell they care about their patrons. I had their Spanakopita… yum! My favorite. My Greek salad was amazing. The prices were very affordable. I’ll definitely go back.

George, the owner, is a wonderful host. I enjoyed a quick lunch of spanakopita that came with a Greek salad. Delicious! All for $ 8. Great lunch spot!

First we were informed one of the waiters didn’t show up so apparently we couldn’t sit outside… Which is understandable. But the lone waitress told us we would have to wait a few minutes before even being seated, a few minutes turned to almost 10 while there were plenty of seats open and she could have just pointed at a spot. Finally what looked like the owner came out of the kitchen and sat us. Service was slow but again to be fair one waiter was missing, however we noticed people who arrived after us getting drinks and bread before us! the family’s were getting preferential treatment as well. Finally the food arrived and it was average, the lamb kabobs were cooked nice but we’re lacking flavor and the potatoes were sour. Our experience was one let down after another. We will not be returning.

This place is beautiful. We loved the décor(and are still trying to figure out how to sneak the wine buffet back home with us). We went on a really slow night where we were the only ones in the restaurant, and rather than a bored, inattentive server, our waitress was on hand every time we needed her and discreetly hidden in the back area when we didn’t(there is nothing worse than a lurker when trying to eat!). Never having eaten there before, we both ordered the Zeus so we could try a little bit of everything. He absolutely loved all of it, but while I found everything quite good, the style of food wasn’t as much to my liking. I guess I am just not as big of a fan of Greek food as I had hoped to be, but that is just me. The crowning jewel of the evening, however, was the baklava. I hadn’t had any in years(and once again he had never tried it). Since what I was used to was home-made, I didn’t have very high expectations, but boy was I wrong. This stuff was some of the best baklava I had ever had. I would gladly go back any day of the week just for a nice dose of baklava and coffee! In fact, I think I am gonna do exactly that!

Great atmosphere great food! Chef came out and checked on my meal. You can really tell this is an authentic Greek restaurant by the love and passion they put into their service. If you want a good meal without feeling rushed then I suggest this place.
