While the food is pretty good, the prices are a bit steep. Our favorite are the ribs. The strawberry daiquiri I ordered didn’t taste like it had any alcohol in it. We do love the dark bread and honey butter, though. Service is always pretty great!

First thing I have to say is I like my steaks very well done«NOPINK» the chef pulled it off with out an butterfly cut. My top sirloin steak was cooked well yet very tender and juicy. Big kudos. As for my other guests one liked their steak rare well thats what they got and I understand it was tasty. The chicken tenders are large and filling for those picky eaters. I ordered the pepper fried zucchini, loaded stuffed potato and nacho plater for starters. Everything was tasty.

We have been loyal customers of Black Angus for years even though it does not have the quickest service or is the cleanest environment. It was, however, a place where we celebrated, as a comfortable ritual, birthdays, family gatherings and social events over the years. However, we will no longer go there because Members of «The Prime Club» receive a one time offer for a free birthday dinner. This January my wife, who joined The Prime Club, invited me to her birthday expecting the BA birthday discount coupon in her Email. She did not receive one and called restaurant who said for her to call corporate. She did and was told that a coupon was E mailed, if she did not receive one too bad. Checking her Email including spam, trash and received it was not there. So… as told by corporate«too bad».

The place is def geared towards families. I wouldn’t recommend this place for someone to take a date too, but would def recommend it to a family that has loud little ones and daddy wants a better steak than what Outback offers. Probably the best restaurant for families. Every table is a booth and the booths are like 8ft high. No one will see or hear your loud rambunctious kids! Décor is very tacky, but it’s not disgusting. It’s at least clean. The food is about as crappy as I allow a restaurant to be. Wife and I are experienced cooks and enjoy fine dining(doesn’t exist really in vancouver), but sometimes we want to go out with the kids. Kids aren’t welcome at fine dining eateries so families are often left with sh*t holes like red lobster and olive garden. This food here is mildly better than either one of those. The steak does require salt and isn’t the best thing ever… but it’s passable. The portions are also man sized unlike the 4oz steak turds you get at TGIF. The price for a 12+oz ribeye steak will only set you back approx $ 30 and they usually offer larger steaks too. Service needs improvement. The managers are hard working and aim to please which is good, but it can take a while to get seated and fed. Oh did I mention if kids eat all their food they give the kids a free ice cream?

Came here for good steak and a quiet dinner. We used a coupon– Campfire Feast for $ 42 for two people. Without the coupon, I would be disappointed. We ended up paying $ 92 before tip, full price would have been about $ 20 more– and that is not worth it for Black Angus. Met Grill or Ruth’s Chris– yes, but the prices at BA are just far too high. So price notwithstanding, the food was good to excellent with few exceptions. The mashed potatoes are a definite«skip-it». The steaks were quite good though! Cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. Had the fried zucchini as an app, and those were great! Wedge salads were large and really tasty. The bread was delicious, but could have been warmer. Signature cocktails that we tried were good and not overpriced. Strong and large. We finished with double Absoluts, and they were large, large drinks. They were overpriced though– $ 11, and based on the signature cocktail prices, that was $ 2 – 3 more than they should have been. But again– they weren’t watered down and they were big ol’ drinks. Service was mediocre. All the servers seemed to hate their jobs. That was disappointing. Bottom line– next time I have that campfire coupon, I’ll go back for the steak. But I won’t go at full price and I won’t expect to be dazzled by extras or terrific service.

I absolutely love Black Angus, and was a regular in California. Which is no surprise that we’ve been here three times since moving to Vancouver in October. Every time thus far, we’ve had a tall — thin — Caucasian waiter, maybe mid twenties early thirties with short shaved blonde hair. SUPER sweet guy, very attentive, very friendly! & always remembers us! Every time we come we Google a coupon for the Campfire feast for two. Which is a fabulous deal. I love the fire grilled chicken and my fiancé gets the steak. I absolutely LOVE the fried zucchini. One of my favorite appetizers. I recommend the wagon wheel sampler. The desserts here are so so, I wouldn’t order one if it didn’t come with the meal. If you’ve never been, I definitely recommend!

I give four stars for the authenticity of this steakhouse and its overall ambience, but 3 for the food. It’s got the whole«Texas» theme going on with big, private booths and huge vaulted ceilings. However, it’s really just an overpriced Outback steak house IMO. We made a reservation around 7PM and were fortunately promptly seated. Service was noting exceptional and everybody was extremely rushed. I get it, but we had a difficult time getting drink refills and our waitress never came back to serve food, ask what’s up, etc. For four people, it was $ 176 with a tip. That’s some Ruth’s Chris prices and straight up insanity. Would I come here again? Sure, if I wasn’t paying for it, but I don’t think I’d pony up cash to come here again.

When my girlfriend and I came in, we were told a 35 minute wait, it took an hour to get seated and then another hour for our food to arrive. the hostess was very sassy but they didn’t ID me so that was lit. food was good. EDIT: they gave us our $ 70 meal free because of the long wait.

This place is actually pretty good. The Loaded Baked Potato Soup is very good, as well as the garlic mashed potatos. We had the Wednesday special which was prime rib and mudd pie special. It was quite delicious. I wished the drinks were unlimited refills. Overall, it was good quality and the wait staff was pleasant.

Cheesy garlic bread is to die for. Great happy hour menu and prices in the bar area. Also good deals on NFL Gamedays. Bacon cheeseburger, fries, coleslaw and a beer for $ 10. Can’t beat it.

I went to black Angus for my birthday dinner last week. I made a reservation since there was going to be six people. When we got there, the host staff were very friendly and we were seated promptly. Our waitress came to take our drink order and we did not see her for a while after that. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. She was short with us and not very personable. I ordered the steak, shrimp and lobster dinner. The steak was very dry. I had hoped for a better steak at a restaurant known for their steaks. I wasn’t impressed with the food. Since it was my birthday, a group of employees came to sing happy birthday and brought a large chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was delicious and warm! It was the best part of the meal.

11/28/2015 Service was very good. Food was not good at all. Prime Rib was dry like jerky, but with no taste. So disappointed going to write corporate office.

This place is seriously the best steak I’ve had in Vancouver. We try a lot of different places in Portland and other cities around the world, the latest being a Michelin rated steakhouse in Dublin, Ireland. For half the price, we get a steak that’s a million times better than what we had overseas. We were definitely skeptical given its location and the fact that it’s a corporate chain. However, every time we go we are not disappointed and the quality is always there. The staff is super nice as well. We had a very friendly server with green glasses(forget his name) but he was wonderful. We will keep coming back!

Do not waste your hard earned money here even with their coupons there are extra charges. Service is terrible. Food is undercooked fatty meat and over cooked hard vegetables. Potatoes cold but will microwave. Waitress disappears rude and wondering why she is doing this line of work. Prices very high and not worth it. Worse meal ever gone down from years ago. Do not waste your money here!!!

This place is a classic in the steak house family. They offer large portions of food for a fair price, and one can get a large 22 oz beer rather than the standard 16 oz. The only thing negative about this place is the location; which is just behind an older hotel and butted againest the i-5. My synonym on the beer is only that perhaps they could offer a little more variety. Bottomline, this place is fun, tasty, and worth the skrill

I’ve eaten at Black Angus Steakhouse a bunch of times over the years and they’ve always been consistently wonderful. I have never had a bad meal there nor have I ever received lousy service there.. .so I guess some of the reviewers who gave surprisingly bad reviews of this place must have just had some rotten luck. We arrived there at 8:15 on Saturday night without a reservation, were greeted by two friendly hostesses, and we were seated immediately. We had their«Campfire Dinners for Two» which consisted of our choice of two dinner entrees, one appetizer, and one dessert for $ 58.00. We chose Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip for the appetizer. The dip was served baked in its own little skillet and came with crisp tortilla chips. It was good. I got a Wedge Salad for one of my «sides» and it was huge with blue cheese dressing and bacon. Actually, it would have been nice if that wedge of lettuce was smaller.. .so it would have been easier to eat. My entrée was a 12 ounce New York steak. I ordered it to be cooked medium, and it came out cooked just right.. .a perfect medium. Also, I know that some New York steaks at other places sometimes don’t taste as good as others maybe due to the quality of the beef or whatever. Well, mine tasted great! In fact, one of the things I do like about Black Angus is their consistency since every steak I’ve gotten there has been really flavorful, and they always cook it exactly the way I request it. My friend’s entrée was a combo platter of BBQ Chicken and Baby Back Ribs. She said everything was tasty and tender.. .and the proof is that she ate it all. We shared our dessert choice of Sky High Mud Pie, a tall slice of ice cream pie in a cookie crust. Our dinner was especially pleasant because of the friendly and efficient service we got from our server. In fact, when we mentioned that my birthday is next month, she was kind enough to give me an «early» complimentary birthday dessert of a fresh baked Chocolate Chip Cowboy Cookie with ice cream and birthday candle. THAT is friendly service. OK, so I always get great food and great service at Black Angus.. .I will keep coming back!

Prices are high and quality is mediocre. They also need to step up their beer selection. The waitress did a good job and was very polite. If you’re looking a nice steak house I would go elsewhere.

The wait time was horrible, but it’s our own fault for not making reservationThe Was able to go into the lounge so it was an ok wait. The bartender who was filling in(Trevor, I think) was very nice and professional. Once we got seated, the booths were all large enough to accommodate 4 – 6 people which was nice for just us 2. There was a relatively fast turn around time once we placed our order. The wait staff(Chelsea) was over the top friendly and she didn’t make us feel rushed. Prices are up there, but for us, we don’t go on a lot of trips so it was ok.
