I love this place! All the staff are friendly and peppy but not over the top when I stop in at 6:40 am. I love their coffee but I have recently been addicted to the blackout(hazelnut mocha). They also have amazing pastries and cookies. Their flavored rock stars are great as well. The only complaint I have is that it is too loud sometimes, but that’s very minor and doesn’t stop me from going.

Was in line for 8 minutes and the car line didn’t move. Gave up and as I drove around saw that only one person was serving. Really black rock?

Mexican mocha mmmmm! I always have to make my own manual version elsewhere, so nice they have it on the menu. Very flavorful and the drive-in ladies are very sweet! Xx

Consistency is key with coffee. Especially when you are that person who only orders an Americano. You are then able to taste what the espresso shot actually tastes like. BR does a great job dialing in to make sure that the shot isn’t bitter or too sweet. Great job team — keep makin people smile!

It’s not like I had the worst service or that their espresso drinks are all that bad, however I drink black cold brew coffee daily during the summer and was disappointed they don’t have it. Their espresso drinks are alright but I hate Americans and won’t be back there. Nothing special for a coffee shop. Me and my friend literally stopped at the next coffee shop and dumped our coffee on our drive back to Seattle.

I just love it. Nice place. NICE people. Way Better coffee than Starbucks in F-Meyer next street.

I go here for the tea, and they always remember my order. I have tried other drinks but the tea is perfect every time so I don’t stray. The staff is very friendly and it is nice to see them whenever I stop in.

Great drinks and customer service. I would definitely recommend it. Nice it has a drive thru. I enjoy the sugar free rockstar with the sugar free syrup, blended of course! Nice and refreshing!

Far better coffee then the burnt crap at Starbucks. The staff always seems friendly and willing to provide suggestions. This is the only coffee shop we go to in the area… Again I detest Starbucks and the Coffee Shack down the street is horrible. Not sure what else to write, we only ever use the drive-through, but if you want to good cup of coffee stop through.

It’s a coffee place. You get coffee, you drink coffee, and you become caffeinated. I’ll choose Blackrock over anything else in the area, but nothing mind blowing.

Came here to kill an hour. Took a risk and bought the $ 5.75 three cheese pastry. After the purchase they hand me the cold pastry and inform me they cannot heat it up. They don’t even have a microwave. Pastry tasted terrible. The mocha was decent and the ambiance was more hip than Starbucks, don’t buy food here they don’t know what they are doing in that department.

My favorite coffee place because they cost less than Starbucks, their sugar free drinks taste great, and you get a free one on your birthday!

Iced coffee is strong, which is the bomb-diggity… White mocha tastes sweet but refreshing. Décor and people were great. Friendly staff, nice lounge music. Some great roMANtic ballads.

If you like sweet coffee drinks this place is good for that, they make very decadent drinks. If you don’t this place is sort of lack luster. The coffee itself is not very good so if you’re looking for a cappuccino or a macchiato, I don’t recommend this spot. The reason I am giving it such a low rating is because the décor is so unpleasantly uninviting, the place is always empty and I think it’s the furniture. The modern, all black and white angular style is just the opposite of cozy. The staff are very nice and cheerful but something sits wrong with me about it, it seems like they must have a boss who hires for looks. Washington is blessed with an abundance of beautiful women but I feel uncomfortable when it is blatantly obvious that their hiring standard seems to do with a person’s attractiveness. Nothing personal to the baristas who work there!

I should really wake up a few minutes earlier in the mornings and brew my own pot of coffee but I just cannot bring myself to sacrifice that last 10 minutes of sleep. I stop here pretty much every morning unless there is more than one car in the drive-thru. I’ve never been inside. Of course there are other places that brew better quality coffee, but Black Rock makes up for that in all other ways. The staff is ALWAYS extremely cheerful which is sometimes a little overwhelming for me at 6 am. I can be a grump in the mornings but always leave here smiling. Isn’t it funny how great customer service can have that effect on people? This is my favorite Black Rock location. Love the Irish Cream Breve.

Beautiful inside, cozy fireplace for winter, big windows for pretty summers. Mom got a free drink on Mother’s Day, and a cute young staff that I’d love to be a part of! Sounds all good to me!

One thing I learned in my years in the service industry, is that you need to have a good People Plan. Black Rock has it nailed, in aces. At every single Black Rock you will find excellent people, making excellent coffees, and a lot of faithful coffee drinkers. I always shut off my ears when people tell me how they are«coffee freaks» and then immediately start spouting off their favorite drinks from Charbucks. Yeah, Charbucks… they burn the hell out of their beans. If you want great coffee served by phenomenal people… go to Black Rock.
