I’m not really a donut fan, but it was National Donut Day, so what the hell. I had a coupon for buy a dozen get half a dozen free. It was also a Friday and I wanted to do something nice for my team at work. The bakery is clean and cute inside. They have lots of donuts on display as well as racks and racks of extras. I randomly picked 12 and the free half dozen were plain glazed. All of them were delicious according to everyone who ate them. I personally had the salted caramel and ohmyfatkid it was YUMMY. Service is exceptional and I was in and out in a jiffy.

I never should have tried Dot Donuts for the first time because now I can’t stop going back! Their donuts are substantial, unlike Krispy Kreme, yet still light and fluffy. My favorite is the salted caramel and the glazed cinnamon twist. The lemonade is pretty good, but I’m disappointed every time I go in and they haven’t brought back the orange juice donut: So. Good. A friend commented that she hasn’t tried them yet because she assumed by the name it meant they only sell donut holes. I never considered that, but I have to admit it does kind of make sense. Don’t be duped by the name(they sell a large«texas size» donut); stop in for some full size deliciousness and justify it by the fact that you are supporting a local business.

Donuts are great but too many times I have come at a reasonable time and they have closed due to running out. I don’t have time to go on a hunt for donuts. Unfortunately I will probably not try again.

This place is the BEST! So good! Just what I was looking for! The lady who helped was amazing as well! Gave us extra donuts just to try! She’s so sweet!

Closed at 10:30AM on a Friday because they sold out of donuts. Was really looking forward to eating donuts this morning. Donuts are pretty good, though I agree they are a bit expensive.

Dot Donut’s is a delightful little shop! The donuts sold here are delicious and charmingly decorated. I picked up a few dozen and took them to my husband’s workplace yesterday. Everybody loved the quality of the donuts and variety to choose from. Unfortunate that there is only one Dot Donuts location at this time. The shop itself is well kept and clean — the staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy to find, easy to park. The whole experience was a pleasant one. The donuts here are a little more spendy than other places, but well worth the extra money!

Meh. The employees are very nice and greeted me when I came in. I was disappointed that they didn’t have donut holes. Oh well. The donuts I got were okay. Based on the reviews I was expecting something amazing. I’ve had much better from little no name mom and pop stores.

My goodness reader, how fat I’ve gotten lately! This is due in many ways to the stress of a new job, but the blame can also be placed squarely on the shoulders of this fine establishment. Of course I could never dock them points for doing their job perfectly! And perfect is indeed the word. Their donuts are exquisitely fresh, perfectly textured, and flavored in a brilliant enough way as to give the illustrious Voodoo Donuts in Portland a run for their money. One morning I dragged myself out of the world’s warmest, most comfortable bed, performed my ritual ablutions, and hopped in the car. As I drove up 164th toward the park-and-ride, I noticed I had some time on my hands until the bus left. Oh dear but idle hands are satan’s plaything! He just plays them like that machine that stuffed donuts into Homer Simpson’s mouth. More, he cried! And reader, your reaction will be the same if you are fortunate enough to try their blackberry donut(flavors are constantly changing). Is the filling blackberry? Yes, but the true flavor is in the donut itself — a brilliant feat that makes for a gentle, enduring gust of fresh blackberry flavor. My god. And the chocolate old fashioned donuts? I’m crying at the temptation. Why Satan? Why dost thou tempt me??? Jesus take the wheel and take us to Whole Foods(not the one in Vancouver! See my review)! Oh and they serve Stumptown coffee, which, frankly, should be federal law for donut shops. Nothing goes better with a soft, crumb-y blackberry donut than a piping hot cup of arguably the world’s finest coffee.

How can you drive past a place month after month and never stop until someone sends a group text that«They’d just had the best donut of their life!!» Well, I stopped yesterday to see what the fuss was all about? Shouldn’t have — going to be ruff on the waistline. But they were RIGHT! W O W

A long time ago in a city far, far away I worked in doughnut shops, several of them from Winchell’s to a couple of Mom and Pop places and after years of baking, frying, decorating doughnuts I would like to think I have an inside knowledge into the whole(hole?) doughnut thing. That being said, these folks at dot donuts have done some homework and got the process right. Toppings are plentiful, icing is thick without being runny and the treats are all uniform in size which makes for a pretty stunning display case. The shop is small, the display is small too, but that doesn’t really matter because it is amazing ascetically pleasing to the eye. The smells are enticing. The people of dot are always very nice, I’ve not had a bad experience or even a moderate one in the three times I have been there. Prices are a little higher than you would see if you usually buy your doughnut at a grocery store or a mass producer but the product warrants the extra dime or quarter. Handicapped access rates a solid A-, there is parking close to the door and the ramps are near a well. Rolling into the door is easy with just a small hump if you have wheels to get around. All in all, an excellent experience.

I found Dot Donuts when I was headed to work one morning and will not have to look for another donut shop again. Their donuts are delightful and consistently great! I would prefer to have Dot Donuts over the competition any day. The donuts are the right combination of density and sweetness for my taste buds and taste fresh! Great morning treat!

I came here around 11:30 on a Sunday for donuts. They were out of a lot of donuts. I had trouble choosing 6 donuts without being duplicates. They were also out of coffee. I brought them home to my family and they were no good and my family agreed. I am used to going to donut shops at all hours of the day and having a wide selection. They only had one type of jelly filled donut left. The donuts here are also pricey compared to all the other donut places I’ve been to. I definitely will not be returning.

Who doesn’t enjoy some donuts? This spot is filled with nice classics and subtle twists on classics without being overly sweet and sugary. Coffee? They’ve got it. Decent selection of rounds? They’ve got those too. A place to sit down and dunk your rounds in to some grounds? That they don’t have, unless you want to sit outside which for us meant, 55 degrees and raining at 8:45am. Still though, awesome spot without all the craze of donut hype. Would we come again? Many times, please & thank you.

I can only speak for the apple fritter for now, because my husband was the one who picked up the donuts for us. Apparently he got lucky. He went after 2PM and they still had a lot left! The apple fritter was delicious. I warmed it up in the microwave and it came out great. A nicely glazed and crunchy outside gave way to a soft interior. It was not too sweet, and there was some apple flavor. The only thing I would like to see is more actual apple pieces in the fritter.

We get dot doughnuts for like … Every occasion at work. The people are friendly and they don’t push you to make a quick decision at 5:45am . Get the cinnamon twist it’s so yummy.

Very unassuming location without the glitz and line up of a certain famous Portland store. Never a wait and always fresh. Wish I could eat these daily! The«half custard half raspberry» is to die for. Actually prefer these over any of the so-called trendy shops throughout Portland. For a few dollars more, a dozen here absolutely kills any grocery store attempt. My GPS wasn’t too kind finding the location about a year ago, but don’t give up.
