Cool, funky atmosphere. Great beer selection. And decent service. Food is better than your average bar, but nothing that blows my mind. Kid menu is OK but a few items are just smaller portions of the grown up version, which isn’t always what my rug-rats are into. All in all, a great local hangout for Westside Van-T.

don’t usually write reviews too often other than sharing photos of what I ordered as I think photos truly add some reality to a rating in and of itself and gives a potential guest a idea of what they may expect to receive as well. In saying this, if you find I added a photo of something or even checked in at a particular place and did not write a negative review then you can assume from me that it was at least«acceptable» Now, as for Brick House, what I can say is that this place has a terrific happy hour with a variety of flavorful wings that are sure to put any palate. Prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection of microbrews.

I think I’m being fairly generous giving Brickhouse three stars. First of all they have no hosts or hostesses and it is a seat yourself kind of situation. That wasn’t really a problem until we couldn’t find a place to sit and we had to stand there hovering like vultures waiting for a table to open. Hostess or not, no one welcomed us or asked if we needed anything until one of our party went and found someone. Now to the food. I had the Bleu Cheese Bacon Burger which I found quite tasty(the bacon was excellent). My wife however had the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese which was pretty horrible. They use processed cheese and not even a high quality variety. When your square of cheese doesn’t lose its shape(at all) when heated something is wrong. Definitely not worth the 9 bucks. One word people: CHEDDAR. I mean for crying out loud Oregon is right next door and last time I checked the state has a wonderful town named Tillamook. In case you didn’t know they make REAL cheese there!

Awesome event last night! I have been coming here ever since I turned 21, so I feel like I can honestly say… Amazing music finally!!! It’s nice when the good food is accompanied by such great music! It’s a pretty rare thing to have both at the same time! For dinner I had the special grilled cheese sandwich with some kind of Parmesan crust all over the outside and it was delicious. It also had tomato and bacon! And the French fries were perfect! My only complaint is that I specifically asked my server for French fries first because I wasn’t ready to eat a sandwich yet and she assured me that she could take care of and of course it all comes out at the same time lol. They always seem to have a great selection of beer as well. the happy hour menu is actually pretty decent. It’s not like the Brock house has the most amazing food BUT they really do have some of the best service around. And that really mAkes up for the mediocre food. Now, if they could just make a REALSHEPHERDSPIE… That would make a lot of people happy! Note to Brick house… I bet if you keep having music like last night, you will begin to draw in a better crowd. Thanks for having such a fun atmosphere!

Cool venue, came to see a friend play. Drink line moves slow unfortunately. It was a Friday and no severs on the floor. So had to stand in 20 minute lines

Live music often. Great & many beer choices. Some damn good food — especially the sliders! Nice happy hour prices. Don’t forget to go all the way in — there are many other spaces than the front! A back patio for instance and a room with games. A second bar and more restrooms… Lots more to see and the music can be heard, for the most part, throughout. It’s a great place. Need I say more?

Had a great experience on mine and my hubby’s first visit. Service was great and food was definitely worth going back a second time when a friend suggested we try it. I got the BLT and loved it. Side salad and ranch dressing which I’m guessing is house made.(I love my ranch.) Boy, was it a different experience on a Saturday night than it was on that weekday afternoon when we went! Food was just fine but I wouldn’t get it again. I got the Grown Up Grilled Cheese and it was just kind of sloppy. Grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomatoes and it’s pretty much a panini. It was meh. We waited 10 minutes just to get menus or acknowledgement despite waitresses walking by. When they did say they’d be right with us, it was another 5 minutes. Once we were ready, another waitress walked by and said«She’ll be right with you.» 5 minutes later. The waitress finally shows up and says«Did she take your drink orders?» Well, no. -.- On the plus side, they use the iPad to give you your receipt and charge the card which I appreciate. I don’t like waiting to get a receipt and it seems pretty efficient. I’d still go back but definitely not on a weekend.

My husband had a delicious flatbread pizza with pepperoni sausage and mushrooms and I had the half soup and sandwich. This turkey sandwich was incredible with tasty whole wheat bread.

We pretty much go here for Happy Hour. We can eat, drink, be full, and spend very little. Yeah, it’s a little divey, and yes the service could use some improvement… we just go here to unwind after a long day. My one complaint is more related to how they let the bands handle setting up… we were there at 4:30, and a band is starting their setup. Giant speakers that were ten feet tall in a small little dining area… kinda like people who drive a Hummer. And we asked when the band played… 9pm! So I totally get being early to make sure setup goes smoothly, but then randomly when the drummer felt like checking his snare every 20 minutes, the folks there just to enjoy eating have to endure random bits of sound checking– yeah I know it’s not a complete reflection on the Brickhouse itself, but I do feel they should monitor a «too big for its britches» type band who feel they need to take over the dining area almost 5 hours early… With a little better service, the food speaks for itself, Brickhouse could definitely earn 5 stars.

Delicious burgers and delicious beer! Lots of options on tap. Decent prices. We came on the weekend during the day and they were practically empty, looks like a decent night life spot. All the girls hostess, servers, etc were really nice and friendly. We had fried pickles 7⁄10(spears not coins), brick house burger 10⁄10& great NW burger 8⁄10.

Seems to be in their desperate last stages… Trashy environment; poorly arranged bar & dining area(LOUDSHUFFLEBOARDRIGHTBYDININGAREA). The food is mediocre, too much cheese on everything. The beer menu is meager, could use some more nitro stouts. THESERVICEISUNPROFESSIONALANDINCONSIDERATE; the waitresses are one step away from dressing like go go dancers. A huge disappointment and a serious depletion of character from just 2 years ago. New owner??? ??? KEEPDRIVING, YOURHUNGERCANWAIT A LITTLEBITLONGER!

I gave this a 3 star just because I come here so often and I’ve seen what it is and can be. The consistency of service/food is very poor so it’s hard to rate. Stay away from the pizza! The meat was good but that breading they used was like cardboard. Burgers have been good to me here and they have a nice beer selection. I’ll come back just cause it’s right down the street.

Excellent and friendly little bar with outstanding food. The Chicken Caesar is undoubtedly the best I have ever had. They have a few other salads and all are top notch. The Burgers are ample by anyone’s measurements and very tasty. The Beer selection is wide and first rate with plenty of Microbrews for the NW Palate. To top it all off the wait staff is exceedingly friendly and on the ball, I have never had a long wait here for anything. I will be back often!

I’ve been here several times but it’s probably been about a year or so. Tried it Friday at 5PM. Do not order the fondue. It’s comes in a soup cup with unmelted cheddar cheese on top. of it. Not sure what else is used but it is largely unflavored. It is served with toasted baguette rounds and sliced sausage chunks. Our sausage came burnt on both side. Not crispy. Not grilled, burned. When I asked a server if it always came this way he responded that it is usually crispy on each side. I held up a piece on a toothpick and asked him if that looked crispy. He said he’d go get a manager. Manager never came. I also ordered a humus wrap. It was basically filled with lettuve. Very little feta cheese, cucumbers, and red onions. I truly didn’t taste any humus. I asked for some balsamic dressing to pour onto it because it was just so dry. Don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen here but it is not an improvement.

My hubby and I were pretty excited to finally have a date night in a bar with real adult drinks instead of eating at a family restaurant and sitting in the kids section. We ordered the totchos(tater tot nachos) and I have to say that the idea was better than the product. The tater tots were barely warm and the cheese was hardly melty. My Moscow Mule drink was awesome and this would be a fun venue to listen to some music based on the layout.

Ok… For some reason I really hate having to give Brickhouse only one star. I can tell the owner is really trying hard and the menu/beer selection has got it goin on. The staff, does not. I’ve been for lunch and breakfast now and the first time my experience was meh, three stars. This time a solid one star. It was like our server just didn’t even care she had a table… We were one of the first tables in the restaurant. I know she wasn’t busy. Yet the greet was slow, my lemon was gross and mealy. When I asked for another lemon and water she didn’t even apologize! Helloooooooo sweetheart, you’re in the customer service industry! Smile, apologize and get me another water. The food took a while both times, this most recent time she didn’t even check on us in the meantime… 3 people had coffee. Soooo low and cold coffee. YOUHADONETABLE! The food deserves better service. I honestly can’t even get started on my other thoughts good and bad because, in the end, if the friendly attentive service isn’t there. Then who cares?

I really hate to go with the crowd when it comes to Unilocal reviews, but I gotta do it this time Brickhouse. Service is poor. Let me say that again in case you didn’t read it the first time… SERVICEISPOOR. It took about 15 minutes to actually get greeted after we sat down. If that wasn’t bad enough, it took close to 50 minutes to get our food. Mind you, it was just my boyfriend and I, and we ordered a burger, the chicken finger basket and cheese sticks. Mostly fried crap that should theoretically take 20 minutes tops. We asked for the cheese sticks as an appetizer, and they came out with our entrees following the above mentioned 50 minute wait. Actually, they didn’t come out with our entrees, I had to ask the food runner person where they were, since they neglected to bring them to first time. Thank God we gave ourselves a full two hours to eat here before going to see a movie at Kiggins, because we for sure needed it. I usually hate to tip low, but after eating here I was extremely tempted to leave $ 1. Actually I was really tempted to leave $ 0 and a quick note explaining why this place sucked so bad. But as a former server, I could not do that. I still felt robbed after spending $ 40 at this place(two beers, two entrees and an appetizer, plus a begrudging $ 5 tip). One extra star for their tasty chicken fingers, which paired well with the honey mustard. Avoid this place!

I’ve driven by this place so many times. This time we stopped and we decided to try their happy hour. Server was more interested in helping only her male customers. I had to ask for my drink 4x before I actually got it. My food was cold, the fondue was lumpy, and bread was hard and almost seemed moldy on top. It’s funny because my server totally had time to sit down and chat with some friends while on the clock, too! Won’t recommend this place, and I worry if they are meeting health code standards hence the 1 star, it’s a health issue.

I had heard great things about this place and thought it to be average. The service was pretty slow and they didn’t seem to be busy except for chatty services at the bar counter. They were friendly enough so it didn’t really bother us. The drinks were strong and the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the décor! They had a good beer selection and we ended up leaving there with a semi small bill. However, my boyfriend asked for mayo on his burger and was charged extra for it! Isn’t that a regular burger condiment?!
