Sometimes life does not go as planned and things happen and the money just isn’t there. This was the case for Hanukkah and Christmas this last year and with an 8 year old tax deduction The Wife and I were determined to not let his Christmas/​Hanukkah suffer because of us. We started looking for things to sell, placed ads on Craigslist but you know how that can go. Eventually we looked to jewelry and started looking for a place to sell some gold and silver.
I volunteer with the Vancouver Police Department and I asked around for the most reputable place to go to and several officers said Goldie’s was the place so with some trepidation about what it would look like to go to a place like that and how I would be treated I took the drive of shame.
When I arrived I was happy to see a comfortable waiting area and a nicely appointed office. The owner waved me into his office and we exchanged pleasantries. He sorted through our stuff and pulled the valuable stuff out, all the time explaining to me how this worked since I told him I was a newbie at this. I was made to feel immediately comfortable. At the end I was very satisfied with the price he paid for our stuff and we had a decent Christmas after all. If life gives you lemons head for this place and make some lemonade out of your old jewelry.
