Update: my wife has gone here a couple of times for lunch and they have had issues with the quality/taste of the food is not consistent.

I don’t know why people are rating this place so bad because of one experience of poor customer service. I ordered my food to go and I took a little long to pick up my food. The server offered to make me a new one because he felt that the food got cold. I said that was not necessary. The food was still hot when I was eating it. If a place was understaffed it’s probably because they are not getting enough business to have a ton of staff. Don’t let other people’s review stop you from trying this place!

Good food, nice and clean environment. The peanut sauce is very creamy and served generously.

WARNING! WARNING! If you like it hot, Thai Home will put you to the test! Got Shrimp Fried Rice the first time I came here. First mistake was I got them confused with Thai Little Home, which is a couple miles down Fouth Plain, in the downtown direction. Second mistake was thinking there HOT would be comparable to any other HOT I have ever experienced. WaaaaaaaHooooo Now I have never met a real life, honest and for true Fire Breathing Dragon. But, when I looked at myself in the mirror and opened my mouth… This dish was so hot it could burn out any aches and pains, Arthritis, Bursitis, and straight up run Sinusitis, Halitosis and Gingivitis out yo’ mouf Yep, I said mouf, because that would be the only way you could pronounce«Mouth»! EXAMPLESPEECH; Muh mouf id ern fie! I had the misfortune of getting BenGay close my eyes once. Knowing what that felt like, continuous tears/reverse heat vision, I could only assume that this dish would have not only burned out my eye socket, but punched a hole clean thru my skull and out the back of my head Although the food had good flavors, each time I got a hint of them, they were quickly over taken by intense heat. Again, my mistake. If you«are all about that heat Boss,» then this is the spot. If not, the no heat/medium heat options are great!

The service is hit or miss, mostly miss. I have eaten here numerous times but recently I have noticed an understaffing issue. On three occasions I sat at a table for over 10 minutes without even being greeted, let alone have my order taken. I ended up leaving all three times. Three strikes and you’re out! The food is good, but my lunch hour is precious and I can’t risk wasting 45 minutes sitting and waiting and then scarfing my food down in 5 minutes. Not worth it.

Will never spend my money here again. Poor service. The server didn’t even take our drink order nor greeted us when he eventually did get to our table. Took about 20 minutes for our appetizers to come to our table and mind you it was a very slow day. Also when we put in our order it took about 30 minutes to come to our table and my order didn’t even come out. Only my partners do I was just sitting starting at my significant other eat while I waited for my food which arrived 10 minutes later. And still after he brought my food, he didn’t take our drink order(: never again will I return

Ok so the service was not good, they didn’t ask if we wanted anything else besides water! The waiter was very short with words, food was ok, but after about a half hour of eating there my stomach was very upset like I was going to puke! I won’t be going back!

I ordered takeout and had the chicken satay and peanut sauce lover with chicken. Peanut sauce with the satay and the satay was really good, but the peanut sauce lover was not. It was a small portion, really nothing to it and the sauce was super thin. I allowed it to cool down in hopes it thickened up, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. I didn’t even eat more than two bites. Thai for whatever reason does not usually compare to dine in, so I might attempted to retry this place.

VERYDISAPPOINTED !!! We are from out of town so depend on Unilocal and reviews. We got a take out order and went simple and both items with excellent reviews. Well people you missed it here. The salad rolls. full of noodles. that’s Vietnamese style, even still requested no noodles just in case. The Shrimp Pad Thai the most bland, dry, Pad Thai I have ever had. I only ate half as I was hungry, also requested extra peanut sauce and didn’t get that either. The waiter was very nice. However I won’t be saving this spot as a place to go in the future.

They know me well, because I ALWAYS get their crispy catfish entre. It is amazingly affordable, and the food is excellent! The wonderful cook often comes out to greet me, and the rest of the staff is friendly and accommodating. I will be a repeat customer and I hope they maintain enough business to stick around. They can’t be beat!

Really good Thai food. If you’re sensitive to spice go with none, I found that mild was the perfect level of spice, medium was intense but not painful. Service was good. Restaurant is clean.

I’m very picky about Tom kha soup. This was the best I’ve ever had. Service was excellent and the rest of the meal was very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Thai home has new a owner since I’ve last been here and their food is as authentic as my grandmothers traditional Lao/Thai style cooking in my opinion. The atmosphere is pretty casual and calm in the evening but it’s a lot nicer during the night. Eating the food here makes me feel like I’m eating Portland food, but just better because of the distance of driving all the way over there. A lot of there dishes include fresh and home made ingredients such as the peppers. Since its Thai food you will expect their food to be a little above average spicy! So for non spicy eaters ask for LITTLE to almost a drop of spiciness Lol! Also, I definitely recommend their crispy catfish and Lao wing appetizers it’s amazing!

This place truly is a hidden gem. I picked up a to-go order that was ready within 10 minutes of calling which was great. I ordered the Pad Thai with medium spice level and it was so delicious. I never know what to expect with a medium spice level but this was spot on. I had planned on saving half of the generous portion for lunch the next day but it was so good I ate it all in one sitting. The staff was super friendly and the décor was beautiful. Next time, I will definitely be dining in. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you– this place is great.

Was recommended to this restaurant by the owner of another business who is Thai. I’m glad I took her recommendation! VERYGOOD Thai food. I had the pad see ew to go. The owner, a VERY pleasant young woman, the waitress and new entrepreneur, gave me a sample of their peanut sauce. MMMMMMM I think there may be cinnamon in it. The portion size was perfect, the heat level(I order whimpy, cause I am) was perfect and the atmosphere pleasant and calming. They are only a month old and are still working out the timing. Not a terribly long wait, no longer than other restaurants I’ve been in. Give’m a go. It’s good and I’ll be back! Terri

I’m really not sure what all of the whiny people were talking about with the service. Just grouchy or confused. I’ve been here four times since it has reopened and have been treated better than 99% of other restaurants I’ve been to. Our waitress has been awesome. She always treats us incredibly and is just a happy person. She’s great! The food is awesome. I’m not a Thai food expert, but I’ve had it at about every place in Vancouver. This place is the best. The Pad Thai, yakisoba, and Tom Kha soup is incredible. Appetizers are great also. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. It’s my favorite Thai place to go in the area now. Keep up the good work!

The next time they put up flyers all over town advertising their new employees and chef-they should at least be properly staffed. One and a half waitresses on a busy Friday night with a half off special. Waited about 10 minutes for a water and tea. A lot of people were visibly irritated and frustrated with the lack of service. Several couples and a table of four who were seated before us got up and left after no one came to even take their drink order. When the food did arrive it was pretty good-but incredibly basic. Skimped on some veggies but after adding some hot sauce and chili it made for some good leftovers. Nothing particularly superb about this dish. Honestly I prefer the old chef and the old dirty restaurant over the experience I had tonight.

Tried to order over the phone. Menu is influx. Do I drove over. It was not far away and it wax not busy. I got my order to go after a few discussions. I ordered the crispy shrimp app. It was wrapped shrimp that was tasty, 4 shrimp for $ 7.00. The chili sauce was very weak and super thin. Would not hold onto the shrimp. I also ordered peanut lovers with chicken. Missed the mark by a mile. If something says peanut lovers you would think you would have to search for a peanut or be hard pressed to taste peanut in the entrée. But I was. Pretty disappointed by the lack of flavor in the prad pra grow. And the cashew chicken. Both were very lacking in flavor. But they actually all tasted the same. The white rice was very spotty. From al dente to mush. I see the other reviews from the old owners. I hope this group gets it together. Because 50% won’t help bad food. Best of luck. I won’t be back. I was hoping to adjust this review after having the the take out the next day. Which usually always tastes better But not this time. Had to toss the cashew chicken. HORRIBLE. Zero taste and I guess because it was 50% off they cut the corner and put as little chicken as possible. Literally 6 pieces of about 1 inch square chicken. Please don’t waste your time and hard earned money. Or I will say told you so.

Excellent salad rolls and pineapple curry! I ordered the curry medium level spicy, and it was perfect. I saw a negative comment on service. The staff were very polite and kind. I think they are just overwhelmed by the response to their 50% off special.

It’s a cute little place. Kind of dead though. The food was made pretty fast. My boyfriend got the pad Thai and I got the red curry. The pad Thai was pretty good and the curry could have been more flavorful but overall the food was good. However the service needs some improvement. Our waitress totally forgot about our Thai ice teas and she never checked up on our table after bringing the food out. SORRY I REVIEWTHEWRONGPLACE. This review was meant for Thai LITTLE Home.

I got the yellow curry and my friend got shrimp pad garlic with a Thai iced tea. The woman that waited on us was very warm and friendly. My chicken curry had very good flavor and a perfect medium spice level.(I didn’t order a specific level so i guess mine was the standard) My fried really liked the pad garlic. She said the vegetables were fresh and the shrimp were tasty. She ordered spice level 3 which seemed like almost more than she could handle. Good food and friendly people. I’m in.

I came here on my vacation — on our way to the coast and stopped here for lunch. At first the place looked empty and we were a little scared to try this place, but we went in anyway. The place resembled a fast food place decorated with Thai art to make it a little more fancy. It was actually pretty nice. A really nice lady came over and helped us. The cost of the food here was decent… around the same price as most Thai places go. We had some Thai Iced Coffee and Thai Iced Tea. Delish! I don’t remember the name of the food that I got, but I do remember that it was delicious and I had it on medium spicy. All my friends said that it was too much for them… *shrugs* I also ordered a Salad Roll, which was amazing. It’s basically salad in rice paper, it was so fresh and the rice wrap was nice and soft. The two combined and boom, awesomeness in your mouth. My friends’ food were also pretty amazing, except for the Spring roll, you know, the ones you can get at a Chinese Fast food. That was just a greasy little thing that I did not care for. Other than that, I would love to come back and eat there again! The service was excellent, even though she modestly said the menu was too small of a selection, I told her not to change it! Just do a smaller menu with great food, imo. The food was awesome and the décor is just fine. Give this place a try!
