I see a lot of good reviews, but I came in a couple days before and was asking an older Asian man some questions, and he was so rude…, I was asking question and didn’t even want to talk just point, I told him he was being rude and he kick me out of the restaurant… Will never come back, went next door to Dairy Queen to enjoy my lunch no wonder you have no customers…

This place is as Japenese as Indira Gandi. We ordered a lot of food for 3 people to go and a couple things were OK.(I remember a curry chicken that was nice) These happen to be Thai and or Indian items. But like a previous review said the Tempura was chinese style Sweet&Sour breading and I’d like to add that they were very small sparse pieces. The GYOSAWASN’T. More like potstickers Dare I say the people aren’t even Japanese but look Indian? Looking at previous reviews and noted the dates I think there’s been a change. If I didn’t know better I would believe that this place changed ownership.

Consistently good food. The owners are very nice as well. We just found this place a few weeks ago, and we can’t get enough! Terrific prices and large portions!

I wanted tempura udon soooo bad and this was so disappointing. The noodles are spaghetti noodle thin and it all comes in a flavorless veggie broth. All the veggies are shredded(by all I mean cabbage and carrots) and my ‘tempura’ shrimp were heavily breaded Chinese food shrimp that had not been cleaned and were awful. I can’t vouch for the rest for the food but will never go back. I couldn’t even eat this meal

YUM! Huge portions of food and super nice people. They customized my lunch to exclude certain veggies and just really went all out to make it a tasty meal. I work nearby now and I plan to come at least once a week.

Today I had lunch for the second time here and both times was very pleased with my meal. I had the Teriyaki Chicken & Beef Combo last week and the Curry Chicken today. The portions are plentiful and the ingredients fresh and well prepared. Quick service from a very nice man who I believe is the owner. I’m sure on my next visits I will learn more about the people running the place but seems to be a small family run business. Out of the approximately 30 items on the menu I plan on trying about 25 of them as this will be a regular lunch stop for me. Would highly recommend giving this place a try as the prices are reasonable also.

I have not been to a Teriyaki place in forever. So this was a welcome visit that came about by accident. Some spontaneous spring cleaning lead me to the local laundry mat for some blanket and sleeping bag washing. About halfway into the cycle’s my stomach alarm went level 5 and something had to be done about it. Outside the window and across the parking lot was the Orchards Rice Bowl. After a quick check of Unilocal on my Blackberry and finding two 4 star reviews, I thought I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give the Rice Bowl a whirl. I was impressed. Good hot food and lots of it. The proportions were great. I got the Teriyaki Chicken of which there was lots of it, and came with a large side of white rice, some veggies, and a side of additional Teriyaki sauce. The food was ready so fast after I ordered I couldn’t believe it. I got right back to the mat and dove in. I got so much food for $ 6.95 I couldn’t eat it all. I am not a light eater, so that says a lot. The place is kind of small, and looks like it is ran by a family. Seating for about 30, and bottled Pepsi, water and a few other choices are what are available for drinks. I have already been back once more and had the Orange Chicken, $ 6.95 again with the same sides, and an even bigger portion of Chicken than the Teriyaki. I will need to try some other Teriyaki places out to see how the food stacks up against other comparable meals, however this food sure tasted good to me. Give this a try if your in the area and like Teriyaki. They have over 28 entrees on the menu including some vegetarian meals. The prices are great, the service is wonderful and fast, and its really nice to help support family ran businesses in the community rather than the big chains. I will definitely be going back many more times. 4 Star only because I have so little to compare to on the food end. I like to be able to give a better comparison to how this stacks up to other Teriyaki places, having said that everything sure tasted good to me and I wanted to get the word out about this little place.

Sacramento to Portland and Portland to Vancouver 13 hours in the car + 2 hungry individuals = a nice good lite on the budget menu. Yes, it was a 13 hour drive but we eventually made it. Atmosphere of Vancouver, WA I’d say it’s a nice outdoors kind of a feel. The air a nice a refreshing but cold. After the admiration of the outdoors a good friend and I went looking for something to eat and we came upon this ma-and-pa restaurant. When you’re in a city like this, I’d say ma-and-pa shops are just the best things in this world. We gave it a shot, surprising the price for the food wasn’t all that bad. Too bad that they don’t have seafood or sushi here but hence the name«rice bowl». Only various items with rice which was what I was looking for in a nice comforting meal. I ordered the Teriyaki Beef Ribs plate, an order of gyoza, and a nice bowl of Udon. After ordering, I walked around a bit through the different shops and then back which was 5 – 10 minutes and my food was ready. Really quick service I might add. All the food was just divine — just love that homely mama fresh cooking. So if you’re ever in town give this place a shot.
