The girl who seated my group and took our orders definitely needs to work on her customer service. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt because I never know what is going on in someone else’s world, but working with the public you really need to pull it together. She made me feel like we were an annoyance because we hadn’t all figured out what we wanted. The food was so-so, but the service definitely soured my opinion of this place, and I have no idea how they have 4 stars.

Reasonable prices and the flavor is great. Service is relatively quick. I always order some to go when I’m under the weather and it seems to pick me back up!

So this place gets a 5, and those are rare. If you like Phở, this is my absolute favorite place. I’ve tried many and Phở Thanh is excellent. Their phở is so good, I rarely try anything else on the menu in fear of wishing I had just ordered my usual. Their vegetarian version is packed with vegetables and their beef or vegetable broth is just delicious. Plus, it’s family owned and you’ll be supporting a local business! There is also free wifi if you ask for the password. The only negative is that the atmosphere is plain and the place could use an update and some TLC, but the service is always great. The owner brings out your food himself and has hands of steel to pick up those steaming hot bowls of phở! Definitely visit if you can.

Phở was good as was the salad rolls. I was a little turned off on the inside. Seemed like it needs a face lift badly. The bathrooms also were pretty rough. The phở and salad rolls were both enjoyed and I will definitely will return but probably just for a to go order.

I love the Phở Soup and the Salad Rolls here! Very delicious and great customer service! I go here quite a bit and I always leave happy. My girlfriend loves their bubble teas as well. All around this place rocks!!! One of the best Phos places around Vancouver I believe.

I am sure experiences differ at times. but we found the waitress a very polite and attentive young woman. she refilled our water several times without us asking. phở was amazing and hit the spot. also ordered orange chicken that we wish there was more of. the salad rolls were VERY good. all food was fresh and service was fast. we will be returning.

Love this place! Wonderful friendly family business that makes all their own broths, sauces by scratch. Best Phở, love their calamari and fried rice as well!

Service was abysmal. There were three of us and two of us got our dinner. It was nothing complicated, just a bowl of phở. I don’t think the waitress would have realized or cared had I not asked. Hard to believe I was invisible. I then just asked her to bring me whatever would be the quickest. I eventually got my dinner, after my companions were done. I hate to diss a small business and they were slammed due to a competing restaurant being closed, however it was a negative dining experience and we will not go back.

I can’t speak to the entire menu, but the phở is delicious. I’ve tried every phở restaurant in Vancouver and this place has the best broth. With they served cilantro with the soup!

Their food is good but the service was the worst I ever had. It took forever to get our food. I don’t think I would be coming back.

I hoped this would be great Vietnamese food, but sadly it doesn’t live up to most of the reviews here. Service was slow. The peanut sauce was watery and overly salty, veggies did not taste fresh, and the overall taste of the food was bland and unexciting. I will likely not be returning.

This place is awesome. Great phở’ and great service! Food is always served in a timely manner and I feel very welcome and comfortable bringing my small children. Family friendly and always willing to help with the menu options, as not all of us speak Vietnamese ;) I’ve eaten a lot of phở’ over the past 15 years and I’m a fan!

Just wanted to note the server was super kind and left me a message on here to contact her for reparations. I declined, but the offer was a nice gesture. There are SO many dining options around here, I just think it’s important eateries try to not get defensive and really just evaluate what they serve and customer service. No harm, no foul

We have tried several Phở Soup joints around Vancouver and these people have it down. I only order the lean beef as I am not into stomach and intestinal parts. The broth was wonderful, the food was hot and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed the Spring Rolls. A healthy and tasty meal for a very reasonable price served with a smile. It really doesn’t get better than this unless you are heading to the high-end establishments.

Phở: Nothing special, Phở was not bad but not as good as other place around here. Restaurant: Very dirty, floors, walls, windows. Cobb webs on every stick of bamboo in the place. Staff: Very nice!

If it were an option I would give this place 3.5 stars but when reviewing I always like to give them the benefit of the doubt and round up. I was a little suspect from the beginning when we walked in and most of the patrons and staff were white. Yes, I’m white but I’ve found that the best, most authentic phở places have primarily Asian patrons. I got the P1 minus the tripe. The meatballs were surprisingly good but the briscuit was lower quality than what I’m used to. The broth, as it comes to the table was good but not great. I was able to flavor it pretty well with plum sauce, chili sauce and sriracha. The server was very friendly which always helps the experience. Overall an enjoyable lunch but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to eat here again.

Excellent food all the way around. The chicken phó and salad rolls with fish sauce are(were) my go to meal here. Cleanliness is not so good. They always say if you want good Vietnamese food go where the Vietnamese go. But cleanliness for me is a huge part of the score. Food 10 Cleanliness 3

Typical run of the mill phở joint. The service isn’t very quick, the food is mediocre, and the décor is severely mismatched(seizure like Christmas lights + a safari wallpaper + bamboo??) Nothing much to write home about. However the staff is friendly.
