I love this place, I eat here a few times a week and everything is really fresh and tasty! The first time I ate here I was waiting forever for a check but then I saw a customer paying at the counter and realized that is what I needed to do. I think they should explain this to new costumers, have a sign, or just mentioned to pay when you’re ready.

He gave me two waters. Then he took one away. I got used to the certain degree of privilege of two waters. How dare he take that away. Oh yeah and there’s good food

This place was recommended on a vegan Facebook page I follow. I had been craving phở, and since we were in Vancouver, I took this opportunity to give in to my craving. I asked the waitress what items on the menu were vegan, and she said pretty much everything under the vegetarian section was vegan. My companion is not into phở, but he went with the vegetarian eggrolls. They looked good, and I thought about ordering some, but the waitress never came back to check on us. The phở was ok, but I couldn’t help but think I should have ordered something else. The décor was nice and the restaurant was very clean. We were seated next to the water feature and it was very cold. I should have requested another table. If I am ever in the area, I would definitely try them out again. I’d like to give a business that is vegan friendly another chance.

Very close to my house. Every visit has been very good. Since I moved to Vancouver I have been here at least once a week. My usual order is just Pork Salad rolls with Phở and meatballs /eye of round. I personally do not add much to my phở at this establishment. I enjoy their broth just as it is.

My husband and I decided to eat here after our church service. The food was good. We ordered the shrimp and pork salad rolls and split a large Phở Tai ~ Beef noodle with the medium round eye steak ~ #P3. Everything tasted freshly made. The reason for the 3 stars is, first of all, their prices our slightly higher than other Phở joints. However, I mainly gave them 3 stars due to the service… Very slow. I had asked for my check early, before I finished all my food, because I had read the reviews about the slow service. I waited over 10 minutes, before getting up to pay my tab, and my check was still not brought to me. Also, the waiter never brought me a second order of Salad Rolls that I had order 15 minutes earlier! My advice for this restaurant: Hire some more wait staff. They had plenty of bussers working, but only one waiter. It started getting really busy and the waiter was nowhere in sight, not to mention the restaurant is not that big! Not sure where he went off to when he should have come around more often to check on his customers. For this reason, we will not be going back to dine in, but perhaps we will do take-out.

Great food and service. I eat here at least once a week. Best vietnamese restaurant near my home and work place. I generally get phở or bun bo hue.

Excellent! We chose to go here based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Phở is either amazing or absolutely mediocre. Here is the phở you’ve been looking for. .My wive had phở and I had the egg noodle Satay. We also had vege spring rolls. Everything was excellent. The satay was a spicy peanut soup loaded with all kinds of good stuff. It was one of the best soups I’ve ever had and was very filling. The family that owned it was very nice. They gave a 20% discount for their 1 year anniversary. Once we introduced ourselves to their little girls they even stopped by the table to say hi to our daughter. The décor is also very nice and clean. We’ll be back for sure.

Excellent Phở Tai. I’ve eaten a ton of phở over the years, we used to live near garden grove and Westminster California where some of the best phở is, considering they have the largest Vietnamese population outside of Hanoi. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good prices. The phở has a nice rich broth, not too salty or fatty, good amount of meat and noodles. They serve it with a yummy chili sauce on the side and I all but used it up. Highly recommended.

This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The restaurant is decorated well and always tidy. The people who work there are very warm and personable. And the food is delicious! I’ve been to this restaurant many many times and always leave with a positive experience.

FINALLY, there’s a decent phở restaurant in Vancouver! Thank god! I almost lost hope after my horrible experience with Tan Tan Café. Everything was great about this place, from customer service to food. This will definitely be my regular place for phở! Tan Tan Café customers, it’s time for you to make the switch! You will NOT be disappointed

Just moved to the area and wanted some Phở to warm me up. This place is close to where I live and the reviews were good. The atmosphere was nice with a bit of clutter on the unused tables. The satay Phở was phenomenal with just the right amount of spice. The fresh herbs that you get to put in your soup were nice and crisp and had considerable flavor. I will definitely make this a go to spot in the future.

If you long for an excellent bowl of phở, the rush over to phở Vi Van. I do not like driving over 40 minutes to get a bite to eat, but this phở is well worth my drive. Also, I am picky with Vietnamese food, because I am from Vietnam. I have eaten many bowls of phở in my life, and this place makes a really good bowl. The service is also great. The people there are warm and nice.

Phở Vi Vân is an amazing restaurant! One of the best Vietnamese cuisine establishments I have ever been to. The service is quick and the servers are polite and considerate. The interior is classy, traditional, and clean. It makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but the quality of the food makes it worth it. I came here after horrible experiences at Tan Tan Café & Delicatessen. Phở Vi Vân is my new favorite place to go to for a delicious bowl of phở or a steaming rice plate with beef and shrimp. Definitely recommend this place to everyone in the Vancouver area!

Excellent phở! Our favorite place to go in Vancouver. The phở soup was fresh and flavorful and the vermicelli noodle salad was really good! Only thing that coulée made it better would be warming the peanut sauce for the salad rolls :)

And I shall call it Phở Vi Vân and it shall be one of my new go to workday lunch spots. Great food at a very reasonable price, served in a timely manner. Delicious. If only it was nearer to my home.

Went to this place last weekend for the first time and it was out standing! We first walked in, got seated right away and the staff was very friendly. I got the traditional phở and it was excellent! Very flavorful and good amount of food! The restaurant was clean and quiet and food came out quickly! The only downside is its a little more pricey than other phở places ive been too and since this place is a little farther drive, ill probably only come back when im in the area– a poor college student like me will take the cheaper phở that comes with just enough food and tastes just as good. I would recommend this place to anyone though :)

I visited our WA office from San Francisco and didn’t want fast food, which is all over the place in Camas. I ate too much fast food and wanted some Asian food, so I found this place. I have to say that I love this place as you can tell that their ingredients are really fresh, not like most Vietnamese places in San Francisco where you can see some browning in the bean sprouts and leaves. Because I get reimbursed for my travel expense, I over ordered: Bun bo hue(which the other Vietnamese restaurant looked at me crazy when I asked for this dish), spring rolls, & avocado shake for 1 person. Ugghh… was so full, especially with the avocado shake. Everything was delicious and was the reason why I came her for dinner, lunch the next day, and dinner again. Owners were very nice and I chatted it up with them. Will definitely be back if I come back to the WA office again.

I have eaten a lot of Phở and absolutely love it. I pretty much always order the same thing, «Numba Wun XL». This is the traditional beef phở combo(P1 at this restaurant) with sliced meats as well as tendon, tripe and meatballs. So for me it comes down to the quality of the meat, broth and the vegetables. So I would rate my P1 as meat 5/5, broth 4/5, vegetables 4⁄5. Really a decent bowl of Phở which on a cold rainy day will definitely hit the spot. The meatball in particular was quite good, one of the best I have ever had. So the quality is good but as others have mentioned the portions are a little small for the price they are charging. They only have one size bowl which is medium large but charging what an XL bowl usually costs. I will say that this is the 5th Phở restaurant I have eaten at in the PDX area and 2 of the other restaurants had similar sized portions and prices but nowhere near the quality of Phở Vi Van. The service is excellent and the fastest Phở place I have ever eaten at. It was less than 5 minutes from the time I ordered to when it arrived at my table. So for now, Phở Vi Van is my go to place in the east couv for phở.

Wow, I’m so happy I found this place and I can’t wait for the next time I’m in town to eat here again. From the first step into the restaurant, it smelled clean, fresh, and full of delicious Vietnamese spices. Staff greeted us and we were seated right away despite a little lunch hour rush. They have many vegetarian selections to choose from as you can see in the picture. I lived in Hanoi for a year and ached to see so many veg options anywhere! My sister and I were both wanting a spicy noodle soup(as usual!) and both went for the Bún Bò Chay. It was fragrant with lemongrass and so spicy and delicious. The portion was quite big but we quit our yapping and got to work. We also ordered both the mango and avocado smoothies — yum. The avocado one was just like I’d had in Hanoi. They were huge and took us about an hour post-lunch to finish, not a bad thing ;) Staff we were very friendly and hospitable. If you like Sweet Lemon in NW Portland, this is a good alternative on this side of town. Like I said, I can’t wait to go back!

Everything here is very fresh and the service is fantastic. Tend to order the P3 Beef Phở when I come and if my daughter is here she gets the same and the coconut bubble tea which is pretty tasty as well. It appears to be family run and there are a lot of regulars it seems. The service and food have been consistent every time I have visited and I always leave feeling like that I have had a good meal and even better service. Friendly atmosphere, good fresh food, enjoyable staff, and a welcome home feeling makes this one of my favorites in the area.

I caught the flu while on a long weekend trip to Portland(blechhhh) and so I was craving comfort food. I Unilocal’ed this place as it had good reviews, so we drove out to check this place out. It was out of the way for us from our hotel — about 20 minutes, but in the end I’m glad we did. It looks like the restaurant just changed ownership, as they had a phở promotion poster hanging outside the restaurant saying you could choose any bowl for $ 6.95(regular $ 8.95, one size only). This was a pretty good deal. My husband and I both went for the Special phở which had all the meat fixings, and shared an order of shrimp and pork salad rolls. The rolls were well made, although there was more lettuce inside than there were noodles. It wasn’t bad though. The phở bowls were pretty big and had very good servings of meat. I did taste MSG in the broth but it didn’t leave me super parched at the end of my meal, so there’s that. They may or may not have offered a free tea/drink with this promotion. at the end of our meal as we were heading out we saw a coupon ad by the front entrance offering a free drink with the phở promotion. Our server had earlier asked us if we had wanted hot tea or Thai tea, but I couldn’t recall if she had mentioned it was free so we passed. We did notice all the other diners in the restaurant had gotten special drinks though. Darn! I love me some Thai tea. Oh well. Service was very friendly and courteous. The décor was nicer than most phở restaurants. This place hit the spot for Vietnamese comfort food.

Just picked up the chicken noodle phở and a lychee bubble tea. Both are super tasty! The broth is so flavorful! The sprouts, basil, pepper and lime were very fresh. I wonder if they use fresh lychee to blend into the bubble tea smoothie. The flavor did not seem to be artificial. I will definitely be back!

Great food. My favorite is the spring rolls(or whatever they are called) and the bbq pork. My husband is addicted to the phở. He eats it day and night. Lovely interior and great attitude by the staff. I would highly recommend:)

Wow, I loved this place. I eat phở 2 – 3 times a month. I’m a Phở critic. This stuff is top notch. Ordering is easy, the staff is super friendly. Energetic. They are happy to make recommendations of you are new to the Vietnamese style of food. The food Served in ceramic(preheated) bowls. The spoons are also ceramic. I had the classic Phở Dac Biet(P1.) It was served piping hot. Generous with the meats, just the right amount of noodles. The broth was glorious. Some herbs. I loved it. I will be back. The owner promised to give me a tour of some of the more obscure Vietnamese plates. I can’t wait!
