Food: The bagels here are amazing! Lighter(not as heavy and doughy) as most places. They have a wide array of bagel and cream cheese flavors; both sweet and savory depending on what you are craving. My husband and I both had sandwiches which were very good. He had the Veggie Sandwich on a Jalapeño Cheddar bagel and he stated all the veggies were very crisp and fresh, a must try. I had a create your own sandwich with ham, cream cheese and veggies on a Wild Pesto, so very good. They also have breakfast sandwiches which looked very good. Service: When we walked in there were a lot of people waiting to order, so we thought it would take a while. To our surprise, the staff was very efficient and welcoming. We did not wait long at all and had great service. Atmosphere: Spacious with a modern décor. Perfect place to catch up with friends and family, relax or get some studying done. Note: Approximately 15 – 20 minutes to airport, good place to catch breakfast or lunch before a flight

My husband wishes I would give 1 star, but I’m a nice girl. Definitely not your NYC boiled bagel. More like bread that’s round with a hole in the middle. Even toasting didn’t help, it was still soft & dry. The chipotle cream cheese was decent. Coffee was two thumbs down, but maybe we’re just super spoiled with amazing coffee in the PNW. If you need a Sunday morning carb fix this place will do, but don’t have high expectations.

If I wanted bagels like this I would just go to Safeway and get some for less than half the price. I tried a few flavors of their cream cheese and I was not impressed; they might as well just buy pre made cheese from the store… or maybe they do. Their coffee is mediocre at best. I have had worse but it’s not my first choice by any means. I would expect a little better than café darte when you have so many outstanding local roasters around. The service I received was fine a suppose. I felt rushed when there was hardly anyone in line. There was hardly any attempt to be personable by the employees and I was trying to be quite friendly.

So mamy choices of bagels and spread. They are tasty but honestly I go there for their strawberry lemonade! I do not know if its home made but OMG I love it.

Our family’s all-time favorite bagel place! We’ve not actually been at the new location because we moved a couple of years ago and STB moved to its new place in the meantime. Our young son enjoyed the play area of the original and we had frequented that location many, many times over a few years. It had the best bagel sandwiches around and it looks like they still probably do! Not a fan of the soups as they tasted like they were from a mix, but maybe that changed? We weren’t there for the soup anyway. The bagels and other dough goodies are fresh made, have a delicious chewy, texture and the coffee is nice and strong. Looking forward to experiencing the new place and getting our bagels on whenever we are back up in the area!

They screwed up again. Didn’t toast the bagels and put mayo on the sandwich that I asked for no mayo on. They weren’t busy and I was the only one ordering. If I pay $ 15 for two bagel sandwiches, they had better be delicious and what I ordered. I tried again and I was disappointed.

Seize the Bagel was bright, clean, quiet place to drink good coffee, eat a bagel and read. What a delightful respite in the middle of day. The pineapple spread on my bagel was a surprising and unique flavor. The service was friendly and efficient. It was a pleasant experience altogether.

My first visit here and not a favorable one. I placed my order, she said sign the tablet and walked away to talk to her co worker. No greeting what so ever plus she got my order wrong.

Love the variety and quality of their bagels. They need to open a second location on 192nd where there is no cafes other than a Starbucks which is always too packed to sit in and their food is always picked over. This place would be packed over there.

I love this place. They have some of the best bagels. So fresh and fluffy. The cream cheese spread options are great. I love love love the salmon spread. I have literally just eaten it plain because it’s so good. Always really clean and the staff is friendly

It’s hard to give an in-depth experience when it comes to something as simple as a bagel. Service was so-so and apparently not memorable enough to praise. Our breakfast bagel sandwiches were adequate. My favorite part of this place is that they’ve got a ridiculous amount of seating. It definitely fills up fast, though. I didn’t have any coffee, but they have fresh coffee out which is nice. I’d go back if I were in the area and had a hankering for a bagel sandwich, but I usually try to avoid the carb overload.

Came for my first time with my fiancé. It was Clean, quick, and friendly staff. You order, pay and eat within about 5 minutes. Lots of bagels to choose from, fairly priced. The menu is a little boring, nothing super special about it. If you want quick and simple this is the place to come, can’t say there was anything that will bring me back but it was good.

I grew up in Skokie, IL and with Jewish Godparents. The biggest standing argument is about who’s bagel is the best. I gotta say that I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Is it the boiled chewy bagel that you would get from NYC or Chicago? Not even close. If you realize that it’s more of a place to get bread that looks like a bagel with really good toppings, you won’t be disappointed. This isn’t a Jewish deli. Great coffee, good lox, decent spreads, and haven’t had a hard time with getting good service. The only recommendation that I would make is to get the tables cleaned more often and stop pushing all the crap from the table onto the chairs. I have a big ass and wearing smashed, black poppy and sesame seeds isn’t a fashion statement but a dry cleaning bill. Time for my high gluten, super charged carb loaded breakfast treat. Can’t do this all the time but when I do, this is the place to go locally.

So, this is my favorite bagel place ever. I love the new location and had been coming for a year before the new location. My favorite is the Lox sandwich. Super yummy when it’s made right. And right there is why I’m only able to give it three stars. The first few times I’d even here(old location) I got the Lox sandwich. I was pretty bummed out because the onion was cut so thick it was like biting into an apple. Being they use red onions that’s a LOT of flavor and heat for it to be sliced that big. So I had to remove them. I got into the habit of asking if my onion could be sliced thinly, and although they obliged me, I am usually met with bewilderment, angst and perturbation by the employees. On some occasions I’d have an employee who totally got it and was happy to make it happen, but usually I felt like I was being difficult for asking such a reasonable request. The last few times I’ve been I got the sense that it was not a problem and I was weird for even feeling the need to ask so this visit I’m writing about now, I didn’t ask. I got a pile of onion that when stacked up was larger than the one half of the sandwich. If I had left it on that would be the only thing I would taste. When an employee heard me complaining to my husband about it she offered to rectify it but I just couldn’t be bothered, especially when she made excuses like«When it’s busy sometimes the onion gets sliced think like that» which I know is not the case, because unless you ask them to do it otherwise you get quarter to half inch slices of red onion ALLTHETIME, slow busy or moderate paced business hours. Please fix this ongoing issue. Having worked in high end deli/restaurants when I was younger, my suggestion is to get a meat slicer and slice your onion on the slicer and then you get beautiful thinly sliced onion and CONSISTENCY so then if you have patrons who actually WANT tons and tons of onion you just add more onion. If the issue gets fixed(I’m going to write the company directly too) then I’m more than happy to give you guys a 5 star review, cause I love you guys otherwise. 11⁄25 It appears that the onions are now being sliced thin without asking. I went in with some friends for lox bagel sandwiches and I asked for my onion to by sliced thin, while a buddy of mine did not ask(they were also on a separate order) and he also got onions sliced appropriately for his sandwich also. So I’m updating and changing from my 3 stars to 5 stars. Keep up the great work guys! Wish you were closer to me but so worth the drive to Vancouver from Clackamas county!

How do you screw up a bagel? We visited in the morning and asked for three bagels, toasted, with cream cheese. The price was way too high and the staff was rude. We arrived home to see that our bagels were not toasted and completely different than what we had ordered. I won’t be back. The lack of interest in customers, high prices, and incorrect orders make it possible to justify a 20 minute drive for another bagel shop.

They have good quality bagels, but after spending way more than I’d like to on breakfast sandwiches and coffees I got home to find my ENTIRE food order was wrong(not coffees). And not like it got mixed up with someone else’s, it was definitely intended to be my order. In all fairness I felt like I confused the guy, so when the first two were wrong I let it go, but when they were all wrong — I got frustrated. I don’t like rating places based on one experience but when I called no one answered, so Unilocal it is. Good but pricey and check your order before you leave.

I get up at 4:45 am for work. Seize the Bagel is open and I respect them for that. Pros: They are open at 5 am and awake and friendly. Pretty much what I need. Reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Cons: Not very good coffee. Had grounds in it and was kind of weak. Way too much cream cheese.

The atmosphere is wonderful. The eating space very open. The staff were very friendly and helpful, not to mention patient of us reading the entire menu. The bagels were soft but crispy and spreads were just right. So glad we came up to Vancouver from Portland to try this one out. We will definitely be back.

As a Vancouver native, I have gone to this bagel shop since I was little. The new location is a great refresh and finally matches the level of quality that goes into their bagels and drinks! I frequent this shop at least once or twice a month and have only ever had speedy, happy service. As for the bagels, they have a vast selection of bagels and cream cheeses… My favourite thing to get is the Greek Eggel, perfect if you want a savory breakfast. I don’t know why there are a couple sour reviews on here, I love the place, they do bagels like no other!

The food that I had was quite dry and ridiculous for the price. Everything that you’re paying for here is atmosphere, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The atmosphere is a perfect place to come for a book club, getting work done, etc. One of the most beautiful coffee/bagel shops I’ve ever been in. But the food and service was p terribad and I would not come back for food, but the next time I need to get a report done, this is going to be my go to place. Sorry for low rating, but food is the most important part.

Where do I begin to tell the story of how bad a bagel can be??? Former New Yorker = bagel expert! Read the reviews for this place and thought I would give a try. Bleck bleck bleck! Got the everything bagel(except taste), lox, cream cheese, onion, capers Bagel barely toasted– tasteless Cream cheese — mediocre Onion– outside not peeled off-hard unappetizing Presentation– poor. Just slopped together. Lox-cheap grade, not Nova, tasteless. Recommendation– don’t go and waste your money.
