Been here a few times. Also was busy with long wait in lines. Prices are fair and items are in decent condition. Have all clothes for most ages. A lot of stuff in here. Should come by and check it out

I came here tonight because I saw they had a $ 15 for $ 30 credit Groupon. Which is a good deal! I love consignment and thrift stores and I was particularly interested in this one based on the fact that they had toddler clothes!
You can find all the same things at Value Village for ALOT cheaper. There was nothing special here, at all. All the brands were un heard of for the most part. For looking for over an hour, I really didn’t find anything at all.
The kids clothes selection however, was good! I found a lot of stuff for my son, and was pleased with that.
Probably won’t be returning, will check other Thrift shops in the area.

I think I’m done with your store. I just took a giant bag of clothes and shoes into your store and was told they weren’t going to take ANY of it on consignment due to «styles, wear, etc». I’m not one to brag on my stuff but some of that stuff was practically new and more in style and had less wear than the stuff I’ve seen for sale in your store. If you don’t have room for consignments then say it. I’ll find a new place to shop and consign my things. One of the things they’ve told me for why they didn’t want to accept my things is because they were Polo style which «don’t sell for them» but there are always Polo shirts on their racks. In fact, I bought one tonight while waiting for them to tell me they didn’t want to consign my clothes.

The employees at this store lack empathy. I was here shopping with my groupon my husband got me he didn’t realize that he purchased the vancouver one which is out of my way to go to. I generally go to the one in beaverton. I was explaining to the employee that it’s hard for me to come to this store and especially since I just had a baby. If I could use all 3 of the $ 12 groupon at once or if there was anyway I can use the vouchers at the beaverton store. She stated «No» so I asked if there was a manager avalible and she stated «No». Also not once did a employee ask if I needed help while I lugged around my baby in the store in her basket and a handful of clothes. For a store that sells both baby/​kid and maternity clothes they certainly don’t treat new mom’s well. I prefer the beaverton store much more.

Simple process for consigning. Store seemed well organized, a great improvement over my last visit here. Nice selection, including swimwear and plus sizes. Pricing very reasonable for buyers. Bonus was a $ 30 Unilocal voucher for $ 15.

This is not a good place to go if you want to buy reasonably priced used clothing or to sell your clothing on consignment. The prices are way too high, and they are far too picky about perfectly good clothing being brought in. They also don’t give consignors a very good deal. Don’t waste your time here.

Typical consignment shop. Some prices seem high, while some seem strangely low. If you are patient, you can hunt for some killer high-​end brands. If you’re a kid or man, you’ll likely not find much at all. Probably 75% (at least) of the store is women’s apparel. The staff seemed to hurried to say hello… there should be a place for the bored men to sit because it only takes about 5 minutes to look at their stuff.
I’ve never consigned anything here… and I get why some people get mad, but you can’t expect every place to take all your stuff. They won’t take you for a ride like Buffalo Exchange when you bring your clothes and stuff there.

I rarely consign, but I do a lot of my clothing shopping here, and I’m usually pretty successful. The store is well-​organized and they have a pretty good selection of shoes and accessories. They’ve also added a small housewares selection, which is pretty neat and I’m interested to see how it does.

I have been consigning with Spankys for years, since they started in downtown Vancouver on Main St. But I have found it frustrating the past few years. It depends on who is checking your items on what they will take. If its a person my age late 40’s and up they take most of my items. Which are Nordstrom/​Ann Taylor/​Nike/​etc NOT Target or the lower priced brands which I know they usually do not take. But when its one of the younger employees under 35 they rarely take anything. I have even «resubmitted items» to find that it is true, taken by one person not another. Frustrating.

I brought in a brand new pair of shoes I had never worn. and three pairs of pants. two pairs that were in very good condition and one pair that was brand new. My girlfriend brought in two shirts that were in great condition and a pair of pants that were in great condition as well. I was hard up for cash so I called and they said they give cash for clothes.shoes.and such. And the end of them pricing our items. they THEN (at the last minute) told us they would write us out a ticket and we would get a call when our items were sold. we received a $ 65 ticket/​receipt.
THAT WAS 18 MONTHS AGO!
I don’t even live in Washington anymore. I STILL have our ticket/​receipt. We continued to call every month. After awhile.suddenly.they had no copy or «history» of the items we left in there store for sell. Now that I am back in the midwest. what can I do… nothing. EXCEPT TELL OTHERS TO WATCH YOUR STUFF!
If I knew they were going to be shady about it. I would have just given the clothes to Goodwill. I would rather give to an honest company.

I was so excited when I transferred to Vancouver. I used to frequent this store a few years ago and wow has it changed. The clothes are not displayed well, they are even dirty, unpressed and are overpriced. A pair of used shoes was 29.00 and I could get the same pair new online for 24.95. I think that the pricing of childrens clothes were unrealistic. Their definition of designer leaves something to be desired. So glad I went back, and now I will not visit again. I think that locals haven’t experienced true consignment, go to downtown portland, look online and make your own comparisons.

Classy consignment. I always find terrific shoes here. I would not call this place cheap but the prices are reasonable and much lower than retail. I recommend trying on any clothes before you buy and the staff is very helpful.

So being that I am guilty of continuously updating my wardrobe and adding to it, it is quite helpful to be able to clean out some of the old stuff. I have visited multiple consignment stores in the area like Red light, Buffalo Exchange, and Plato’s Closet, but Spanky’s is by far the best experience. The people who work there are really nice, you dont have to wait in line forever like you do at Buffalo Exchange, and you get a lot more money for your clothes (Though it is consignment so you do have to wait a month for them to cut checks). So id say its worth the trip to unload some stuff you dont wear anymore, and they actually have some decent stuff and generally lots of designer items too.

Number of times I have driven to Vancouver (on purpose) from Portland the past seven years: twice. Reason behind both trips: Spanky’s! Spanky’s is a gigantic consignment store somewhere out in an East Vancouver strip mall with a huge assortment of really, REALLY cheap clothes. You won’t find anything vintage or trendy or even reasonably cool here — but neither will you find anything with rips or pit stains. I got a nice practical black wool Banana Republic skirt for the office — perfect condition — $ 7. Not to mention the acres of good quality kid’s clothes — each piece like $ 3 – 4. The selling process here sounds way too complicated for me to delve into, but it’s definitely worth a road trip a couple of times a year to bag a lot of cheap clothes for work. You could even drive one strip mall over for your Olive Garden fix or something…
