I ordered the Blue Moon Burger a 10 ounce bacon cheese burger with fries. My Wife ordered the Fish n Chips plater that came with coleslaw and cornbread. My burger was awesome, the 2 strips of bacon that came on the burger were thick and comparable to about 8 strips of normal bacon. Seriously one of the better burgers I have ever had. My Wife liked everything on the fish plater but the cornbread, she had me taste it and I agreed with her that it tasted like they mixed cornbread mix with cake mix. Everything else including the service was great.

Quick service is the only redeeming quality I can offer this diner. I ordered bacon, eggs over easy and pancakes. The pancakes were standard, but the eggs tasted like they had been run through a butter blasted carwash and the bacon was floppier than the 2016GOP pool of candidates. I asked for crispier bacon, and the waiter goes around the corner and microwaves it for ten seconds. «Is this ok sir?» No, you lazy fool, it’s not okay. Beware the food here

Even though there was a wait for Saturday brunch, once we sat down and ordered, our food came out in no time! Your coffee will always be filled. For the food– the omelettes were fantastic and clean tasting.

My favorite breakfast restaurant. My girlfriend and I been coming here for years. And the people who work here seem to always be in good spirit and seasoned employees which are great signs that management must treat their people well. I personally would recommend the country friend steak and eggs. I guarantee you’ll leave full!

Back again for another birthday dinner! Liver and onions is so good here! The fried chicken is a must! Milk shakes! Cream brûlée and bread pudding! Yum! Great service! Great food! Family fun!

Fast, friendly and the food is pretty good and excellent value. If you are starving and want a solid homestyle meal at a good price this place is hard to beat. Malts are great and the Redneck Benedict is fantastic… even if it is a cholesterol bomb! Very pleasant staff.

The Stardust diner has awful customer service and no regard for seniors or disabled folks. Owner is more concerned about profits rather the comfort of customers. Bad experience and bad owner Food is not so good either. I would suggest other close by diner’s.

I moved to NYC almost 10 years ago, but whenever I go back home, the trip is not complete without a meal at Star Dust. The restaurant is spotless, the customer service is stellar(haha) and their prime rib is the best! The Red Neck Benedict is also a solid choice if you’re there for breakfast. The staff is super attentive/nice and the owners are always there making sure everyone is happy. I’ll always make time to drop by when I’m in town.

DISABLEDPEOPLEARENOTVALUEDHERE. I just had a long chat with the owner of the Diner. The food here is good, service friendly. HOWEVER, the parking is in the backand they have the back door closed so that customers have to walk all the way around the building to enter. I pointed out that this was very difficult and painful for those of us who are disabled. His response was that people sitting in that section got cold so they kept the door closed. He said that they are busy enough that having the door available hurt their traffic and there isn’t enough disabled traffic to make it profitable(this is a distillation of our extensive conversation, those are not his exact words. BUT all 3 of us who were there heard the same thing and when I repeated what I had heard to him, he admitted that I was accurate.) I will not be back.

Great atmosphere and friendly waitstaff. Coffee was always filled. Corned beef hash breakfast was delicious and the French toast was just like home.

I find the pretentious reviews associated with this place rather hilarious. The yuppies must be winning. It’s a simple formula here — good food in a clean environment with nice wait staff, all at a paltry price. I’ve had my fill of places near my house that charge $ 15 for a salad with candied walnuts and goat cheese, and the wait staff won’t even look at you. This is my last stop before I head out to the airport because I know I can count on it, and you don’t want to start your travel day off on the wrong foot.

Food was okay. I got the steak omelette with no bell peppers because I hate those! it was just okay, nothing special. Portion was big though. I did like the potato that came with it. My cousin took me here when I was in town and apparently she’s a regular here. I don’t see why.

I love the feel of this diner. It’s a great place to go if you’re craving a malt or milkshake! The servers are so friendly and personable, and the atmosphere is just all around fun. The food isn’t the best, but the prices and portions are good.

This place was so fun! I loved the décor and the staff was pretty friendly. We kept a menu after we ordered to read all the interesting factoids on the menu. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak. I really enjoyed it but the hollandaise sauce didn’t really taste like hollandaise sauce. It was just a little off. This is a fun greasy spoon that is worth a try!

Perhaps the bacon served here is the standard for what is served in this town, I wouldn’t know since this was the only place I ate in this city. The bacon served here seemed to be shoulder cut slices which would be the first and only time to ever have outside of a home! I was beyond impressed when I saw these beautiful slices of bacon on my dish. I can see why my host determined this city would be their next home when they found this gem. Again, I am from the midwest and don’t know what the standards are here but I wanted to buy a pound of coffee to take home from here. The coffee reminded me of the quality coffee served at the Chalkboard in Tulsa, OK. I had the eggs benedict & the French toast with coffee. I shouldn’t have eaten so much but it was all so good not to. Months later, I think of that valuable lesson I learned from the Stardust Diner to not overeat. They have real jukeboxes and mirror lined walls inside.

Rating this for what it is to me. Sunday morning breakfast at a good«greasy spoon» diner. This is a place like I grew up visiting with my dad and grandfather. Breakfast choices are diverse with my favorite definitely being the hobo skillet that others on here recommended. They make old diner style strawberry shakes with the extra in the mixer cup on the side that can easily be shared between two if you want to add a little more unnecessary calories but great taste to your indulgent weekend brunch… Services has always been good when I have visited and there can be a little wait on the weekends but they try to get your seated as soon as they can and there has always been plenty of staff.

2 stars because the biscuits tasted like chemicals — the bacon, sausage and eggs were good. Hubbs got the banana pancakes which were yummy, and he said he would get them again. All in all not super impressed.

Stardust Diner sells itself on nostalgia for old diners. They don’t seem to be trying very hard to fool us, though, both in terms of the atmosphere and the food. In this chromed establishment, stuffed with more replicas of ‘50s kitsch than you can shake a plastic lawn flamingo at, the gigantic menu features clumsy references to pre-80s Americana(choose between«King Kong’s Chicken Fried Steak,» the«Ricky Ricardo Patty Melt,» or the«Harley Burger»), and the sound system pumps in the overplayed tunes you’d hear on any classic rock station in the country. No attempts at regional specialization appear, either. Sadly, while it wants to imitate the feel of a diner, most of the individual, location-specific traits that you can find in a good, old place are missing. The food, meanwhile, is plain lousy. The menu is lost in space as well as time. I somehow doubt they can really get the hang of Polish Kielbasa, Tex-Mex chili, country chicken-fried steak, Italian lasagna, deli-style sandwiches, Mexican quesadillas, and the list goes on… They need to cut half of it and focus on some local specialties, or at least on the basics. As for my food, I had overcooked eggs, biscuits served with obviously-from-mix gravy, and a massive slab of bland ham reminiscent of what Woody Allen was subjected to in «Annie Hall.» I asked about the«country potatoes» and hash browns, and found out that they’re both frozen – the former are tossed in the deep fryer, the latter come pre-shredded and are finished on the grill. My friend’s burger was soggy and riddled with superfluous shreds of iceberg lettuce. Her pancakes were decent, but not worth writing home about. And I doubt the maple syrup was the real McCoy. We decided to forgo dessert when we saw that the plethora of shakes offered were mostly the product of a number of flavored syrup bottles, rather than a variety of ice cream flavors. Stardust Diner needs to figure out something it can do very well and jettison its halfhearted attempts at other items. Its variety wasn’t representative of the historic American melting pot, nor of Northwestern authenticity, but of the contemporary exurban nowhere-land where everything is available and nothing is genuine or made with any kind of extra love or effort. I might have gone a little easier on them if they didn’t claim to be something they weren’t – a classic in the proud tradition of American diners. Classics don’t cut corners. And despite what they would have us believe, there is nothing classic about Stardust Diner.

We drive down 164th often and this diner, fully encapsulated in stainless steel, is hard to miss. Somewhat gimmicky, we saw good reviews on Unilocal and had a chance to stop by and try it. Chocolate Milkshake: ice cream had little ice chunks/frost in it. I’ve had better. Famous Footlong(chili dog with onions and cheese) with onion rings: tasty, but portion size was absolutely massive. I ate half and took the other half, sans soggy bun, home. Would have been completely satisfied with a normal-sized hotdog and a side salad(or some sort of greens; I upgraded my fries to onion rings which apparently makes the cole slaw disappear as well). Fried Chicken with potatoes and gravy on the side: one wing, one thigh, one drumstick, one breast(again, a big portion size). Chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and warm and juicy on the inside. Potatoes were too mashed in my opinion. I prefer mashed potatoes more chunky than smooth(smooth is just too similar to instant potatoes). Their gravy made the potatoes yummy though. Corn bread was fluffy and tasty. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. They have a private lot out back. This place seemed too busy for a party larger than 4 – 5. The servers were friendly and attentive, but I don’t think we need to «experience» it again anytime soon.
