Love it here, I just hate the wait. People sitting in the booth just talking away and taking their sweet time and there’s two of them(again in a booth made for 4 – 6 people). While I sit on the bench with grouchy kids because they’re hungry. Sushi is great, but sometimes they forget to make them and then they’re not so great.

I like conveyor sushi. There, I said it. There are times when I want a little of this and a little of that. The opportunity to catch a parade of edible rice rolled art strolling by me at three quarters of a mile per hour. My family and I have been to our fair share of conveyor sushi places that certainly lend credence to the stigma of bad sushi on Parade but it seems as though restaurants are popping up aiming to change people’s minds. Sushi Chiyo is certainly one of those. The only knock on the place is the parking situation which certainly isn’t Sushi Chiyo’s fault, it’s a prime location with good traffic flow as far as customers go. However irritating the parking lot, the quality of the food makes you forget really quick. The staff were very nice, attentive without being annoying and they genuinely seemed happy we were there. The prices are fair, happy hour aside, we were not there during those hours, but plates ranged from $ 1.35 to about $ 3.00 for the usual stuff, there are fancier plates for more. The décor is really comfortable, it’s not over the top oriental like so many places and they have more booths than most places. It’s so comfortable I plan on returning often. Handicapped access grade is a C. Handicapped parking is on the opposite side of the mini mall in front of Panda, the walk way is the rough cobblestone stuff. Finally the entry way to the restaurant is a bit crowded of you are rocking a wheeled device.

The quality and service are good. The place is clean, you can ask chef to make if they are not one the belt. Good value ~

took my granddaughter as an after school treat. This place is perfect for kids, since they are perfectly satisfied eating plain, uninspired variations of a california roll. For adults, I’d recommend Mio Sushi up the road. While granddaughter is happily munching away, I ordered two seared salmon. The sushi«chef» asked me how many. I repeated: two orders. He turned around and started making shrimp nigiri. Whuuuuut? When he was finished he made a couple volcano rolls and put them on the belt. By this time I’m getting really irritated. Then ATLAST he makes seared salmon. He sets them on a large plate, then makes a couple more volcano rolls and adds them to the plate. Then he walks out of the prep area with the plate, sits 2 chairs away from me and proceeds to eat his snack. I just looked at him and said«really???» I asked another sushi chef to make me two seared salmon and just stared at the first guy till he took his lunch to the kitchen. What a jacka! Anywho! The staff seemed REALLY annoyed at the little kids next to me. It was the heavy sigh, eyeroll combo that gave them away every time they walked past the little kid farther down from me. So folks, be sure and take all the kiddies to Sushi Chiyo! Enjoy happy hour! Then hit the burgerville next door for the adults!

Walked in at 1:57 for 2pm happy hour. By the time we were sat and got it first dishes it was 2pm. They charged us full price because we are there before 2. Won’t be back. You just lost my business

Decent cheap sushi but horrible service. There’s a waiting list when you get here but they don’t use it. Several people are seating customers at the same time, even the busboy. Highly frustrating when you have hungry kids with you. I really want to give this place more stars but I value service and dining experience as much as the food.

Great«happy hour«value! 2 – 4:30 Check the menu and order your rolls. The guys will tell you what ones are not available. Fish is good and they are busy enough to ensure the fish is fresh. The Yoko roll is outstanding and for less than 2 bucks its a great deal! Parking can be a pain but well worth it

We love This place — visiting it weekly. Best conveyor belt sushi we have been to anywhere close. Our Favorites: Green Dragon Rolls, Peppered Tuna on cucumber(or rolls), California Roll II.

I would say 2 stars for sushi and 1 star for customer service. I asked the server a question, I was ignored, when my sister re asked 2 min later, he rudely responded. I don’t mind waiting, but let me know that you are busy instead of not responding at all? Just saying. sushi is worth the happy hour price, nothing more. Customer service is key people.

We wanted a light dinner on Valentines Day and this turned out to be a perfect place for that. Our favorite rolls were crab salad and fried roll which other places sometimes call Las Vegas. The plates were small enough where you can have three and not be stuffed. Six plates, two green teas all under $ 15! When I’m in the area again I’d like to come here again, especially if I have my teenage son with me who loves conveyor sushi. Overall good food, service however could use some improvement, so does the parking situation.

It’s was fresh, fast, and good. Not bad for a belt sushi joint. Needed more selection on the belt. The classic was some crowned up bitch that had 3 to go containers. She stood before us and cherry picked all of the good stuff before we could get what we wanted! Haha!

Basic sushi conveyor belt. Located in a busy location and tough to find parking. Service is alright and no sure if the chefs know English so make sure to enunciate your personal orders which might take a while to get. Prices during non happy hour time is not worth it for this sushi, ranging from $ 1.35 to $ 6+ per plate. Best time to come is for happy hour where you can get a better deal with all plates $ 1.85 and the green ones still for $ 1.35. I only come here for happy hour and you can tell that they only make the lower end sushi unless you order. Of course you gotta order the expensive plates for happy hour. I was able to get a few of the expensive plates but some they said were out, which I don’t believe. There is a variety of sushi and you can look at the menu placed in front of you to see all the selection. Texture of sushi is good and pretty standard. The volcano roll I ordered had too much sauce on top and was drenched making it feel fatty. It was a small little roll definitely not worth $ 6, but good to try for $ 1.85. For better sushi and cheaper price, go to sushi hana on mill plain where the plates are all $ 1.50 any time of the day.

Not too shabby for my first time at a sushi belt place! I am an avid lover of Trappers Sushi but since they don’t have those anywhere close to Portland, we settled with this place. They had delicious rolls, desserts and salad selections. We ate for 2 for under $ 20 and walked out super stuffed. It was very clean(that was my biggest issue with these types of places, cleanliness). The staff was alright. We were seated at the bar and brought our drinks and then didn’t talk to anyone until we were paying for our meal. They weren’t over the top with kindness by any means but they also weren’t rude when we talked. I could’ve gone with another refill on my water but I lived. It’s right across the way from a burger joint and was very glad we decided to go this route.

Gave this place its last shot. Got there right before noon and the hot water wasn’t ready so couldn’t get tea. Weird but whatever. Then asked for a salmon roll with cucumber and avo. Guy acted like I was asking for his kidney. He said well if it’s not on the menu I don’t know it’ll be awhile. Meanwhile patron to the left is ordering seared salmon and special orders. I have never been to a place where you can’t ask for a salmon roll and if you do get flack. So not going back again.

The quality and service is pretty standard for a conveyor belt sushi spot, in my opinion. Since it is stuff that sits on the belt, don’t look for a lot of raw or super fresh rolls. You probably don’t want to risk trying something raw off the belt anyway. If you don’t see something you like on the belt, you can order it with one of the servers and they will make sure it is made for you. Most important in a place like this is that it is clean, the wait is usually not very long, and the price is reasonable.

This is my favorite conveyer belt sushi place in the Vancouver area. They have a good variety of rolls and will make you special rolls upon request. They always taste fresh too. And they have a very cheap happy hour in the afternoons! The wait staff is very friendly but the cooks never seem to be that friendly. My personal favorite is the Vegas roll. I usually have to order it since it’s a hot roll but sometimes it’s already out. Overall this place is clean, affordable, and has a good selection of rolls. It won’t blow your mind or anything but if you’re just looking for consistency, good flavor and good prices then this is the place to go! I always eat here when I’m in the area and I will continue to go back.

I really like this place! Not fancy, but fresh, tasty and efficient. There is always a full belt of choices, it’s clean and great sushi. I think of this as fast food as I usually go here on my way home. In and out in 20 – 30 minutes and full of healthy food instead of burgers and firs. I like the sliced tuna, salmon and shrimp and stay away from the fake crab.

Although the customer service is lack luster and often none existent, this is still a top three conveyor belt sushi location in the Portland metro area. Will they great you with a smile? Unlikely. Will they refill your drink quickly? Nope. What you will get is deliciously crafted food at an incredible price. Be sure to come during happy hour. The line is usually not too long and the happy hour price is unbeatable!

I am really not a fan of the sushi here. The rice was goopy and not seasoned and the rolls were not made well. The fish also didn’t seem fresh and my hubby and I ordered chicken yakisoba only for it to arrive 25 minutes later. We almost cancelled the order because it was taking so long. No one ever came back to check on us — I thought the customer service was really poor. The chicken yakisoba was the worst I have ever had(not the right kind of noodles and just the tough white parts of cabbage??). To top it all off I got an upset stomach and it has taken me a couple of days for me to return to normal. I would not recommend this place.
