Since I was a child the month of March held a lot of excitement. Spring was coming and the DAIRYQUEEN was opeing back up for the summer! Believe me, its a big deal. Part of the nostalgia of this place is the made fresh daily Dilly Bars, Buster Bars, DQ Sandwiches, and ice cream cakes. To be quite honest, they will make just about anything your little heart desires. Even things you usually don’t see on a DQ menu. Like Old Fashion Sodas, Jack N Jills, Turtles, Dixie Belles, Sundae Supremes, Frozen Hot Chocolate, & Mocha Smoothies. Now I have worked at the Dairy Queen and I will have you know that it is one clean little place. The inspector from the Health Dept said she would eat off the floor. The owner of this particular DQ is usually there to talk to. Her name is Dana. Tell her I said Hi! Her Aunt and Uncle opened and operated the DQ since the 1960s. She purchased The DQ from her Aunt about 8 years ago. They have always prided themselves on keeping the traditions of the old DQ intact. Go have a banana split and tell the person who made it thank you. We try hard to make em’ the best. It is walk up and drive thru only. They just now started taking plastic. SO you can put your ice cream on your credit card. congrats. Don’t go looking for a burger because it is ICECREAMONLY!
